    Mama

It wasn't as scary as they made it seem, but it was really a good movie. You seemed a little lost at the beginning of the movie and then it takes shape. I was really bummed at the end (won't tell you) but was glad the older one made it. Was a little perplexed how someone could live off of cherry seeds for five years but...I'm not a doctor. Guess I could look it up on google.

    Scary

    by jmooney

I loved the movie. Scares, thrills, and chills through the whole movie. Unexpected turns around each corner. Shocking ending. Good for any movie lover of horror and suspense.

    Jumpy

I went with my best friend and I just kept jumping. She kept laughing at me too! The only bad part was that this group of people from Bristol (and some from my town) kept talking during the movie. But other than that, it was GREAT!

    dead at the end

    by

They did a great job in the beginning about keeping Mama hidden which kept you on the edge of your seat but about half way through you see a good shot of her and once you see her you loose the fear of her b/c it's cheesey. Even though the graphics for her were cheesey the story was still good but the ending was a let down. I think the two little girls in it however deserve some kind of award for their acting.

    Loved it

    by

It was exciting and creepy scary. Even my hubby was scared. It's been a long time since I've seen a good scary movie and this nailed it on the head.

    Mama 6.6

    by

I'm on the fence about certain aspects of this movie. Most of it I really enjoyed. Other details I found questionable. Overall I did enjoy it. I give it a 6.6 on my scale.

Unexpectedly very entertaining and great acting!

I really enjoyed this movie and recommend all to see. Interesting story line, like no other I've seen in the past. Go see it, you wont regret it. Great ending, made me tear up. Ending was unexpected and unpredictable. :)

    Great story

Great, great story. I thought this was just going to be a horror, but its really not and its much more than that. Its not fabuluosly scary and its not full of effects like most of Del Torro's movies. Newer actors rather than seeing the same ole same ole. Beautiful effects.

Mama won't leave you crying for your mama

    by

Teen thriller at it's best. Mama could have been a much better film, I feel they left too much on the cutting room floor for anyone who is experienced in the horror genre. Thirty years and counting as a horror fan this movie billed to thrill and was mostly disappointing. The good: Some really fun special effects, enough bumps in the night to get me to jump x2, enough life story to get you connected with the characters. The bad: An ending spoiler built into the script, an already overplayed theme within the genre, a B movie role played by an A list actress in what should be an A list film, opportunities to build upon certain parts that are left dead (no pun intended). Worth the matinee price to get the theater effect, but otherwise I'd wait for the DVD.

    Mama...

Movie was creepy. My intention was to be creeped out throughout the entire movie. "Mama" was successful. There is room for a sequel, FYI.

    Check it out and enjoy!

    good movie until the end

    by

The movie is scary as hell at times. when MAMA is in the shadows and mysterious it is scary . Once you see the CG (and not that well created) character of MAMA. it looses all it's scary appeal. It started out well and then went off track at the end.

    MAMA

I thought the Cinematography in the movie was great... especially the Mercedes driving thru the mountains. Great story line...would have liked to seen the last 5 minutes end differently, but still good. I really enjoy a scary movie without all the blood and guts, and this movie was exactly that. Had the audience jumping out of their seats several times....

Story line was incomplete, the actors were great, but the effects, not so much.

    by

This was our "Valentines" date movie. My husband and I love scary movies. We were convinced by a friend to go to this movie, that it would scare the crap out of us. I watched the previews, and they were pretty decent, so we went. I want my money back. The little girls were amazing actress' and the adults weren't bad either, how ever the "mama" character, could have used some work. There were a lot of loose ends, unansered questions, and confusion. The story line is clear but it was incomplete, the ending made no sense and sucked. I would wait for this to come out on blu-ray/DVD, don't waste your money going to the theater.
