Worth seeing but could have been so much more
As much as I liked the film, there were some strong disappointments, the biggest of which was Francisco. Morales did not play him with the charisma, intensity, or aristocratic panache of the character in the book. He didn't appear that he could run a restaurant much less a giant mining multination. Nor did he do a credible job of that man turning his efforts to being a playboy. That, coupled with the script's total gutting of his "money speech." certinaly one of the more pivotal moments in the book, showed either very poor casting, worse than mediocre directing, and/or very weak script-writing.
However, Jason Beghe did an outstanding job of Rearden and Samantha Mathis was mostly believable as Dagny. Fortunately, most of this part dealt with them.
I look forward to Part III, but Galt jolly well better far stronger than either of the voices that have portrayed him so far!
