    Fun, funny, exciting for the whole family

    Brought my 4 y/o daughter and 6 y/o son, we all enjoyed it. Some nice references that only adults would get, which were funny but not inappropriate.

    Good Matinee movie

    What you would expect from a kids movie. Started out a bit slow BUT quickly the action started and the kids we were with got into it. One even commented--"hey, this movie is starting to get good now" and this coming from a 7 year old is about as objective as you get. It's worth it but I would still opt for a cheap showing...a little too pricey for prime time shows if you ask me. Not as good as Monster's Inc or Toy story of course but those were pretty solid shows...hard to match.

    Escape Fom Planet Earth

    Overall good 'kid-flick' without insulting the intelligence. Good fun, and good to hear some familiar voices. Includes a recognition of some of us 'old-timers' by having a nod to the Beatles.
    Clean, funny, tried-and-true plot with a new twist.
    Might be worth saving the theatre money and simply buying it when it comes out.

    Escape from Planet Earth

    It was a cute movie, I liked the message about brotherly love and always being there for your family. I teach my own boys that all the time, that they have to be there for one another, be friends and love each other. So I thought that content was good. It is nice that movies still have a message that teaches Family.

    I should have been paid to sit through this film

    The stupidest movie I have seen in years. My sister-in-law and I took our boys because it was the only family-friendly movie in theaters currently. Confusing, meaningless plot; stock sarcastic characters with predictable dialogue. Overwhelmingly loud and frenetic. Our boys, 5 and 8 years old, laughed and enjoyed the potty humor and silliness, but you would have to PAY ME to watch this again.

    GoodCLEAN FUn for the Little Ones!

    I was not into seeing htis, but my little guy wanted to. I must admit it was very good, funny and a new creative story. GREAT JOB DREAMWORKS!!!!

    Don't bother

    Saw this in 3D - took my grandchildren. The graphics were good and entertaining - but the plot and dialogue were nothing more than typical political correctness: global warming, military generals as evil, etc. Why can't Hollywood keep their politics to themselves and just entertain. Who cares what they think?

    Cute for the kids

    Kinda cute story with good CGI and action throughout. Great movie to entertain the kids but dont expect the adults to be too enthralled. Lived up to what I expected it to be... a mid range kids movie.

    Cute Movie

    Good family movie to take the kids to on a cold Feb. day. If you liked Planet 51, you'll like this movie. It's a funny movie with gross kid humor and no real scary scenes. My kids ages 8, 6, and 4 all liked the movie.

    Escape from Planet Earth

    Took my 8 year old grandson to see it. We both really like the movie. Good action. Kept his attention which is not easy to do. Afterwards, we talked about the "moral of the story". Amazingly, he got it!. Family sticks by family even when we do not always see eye to eye. We need each other's love and support. His insight: It is like when my sister and I fight, but we still really love each other even if we say we don't. Great movie to spark discussion of feelings, competition, etc. between siblings. Love should always win over "me, my and I".

    Entertaining for kids, too generic and dumb for adults....

    This KIDS film is SO predictable and SO generic it makes me want to throw my popcorn at the screen. I have seen the boasting hero that never listens and the nerdy brother all the time. The acting is mostly based on the bad writing in this movie. The animation is good to look at but still, even that doesn't excuse the movie from being bad. The character designs are generic. The main aliens look like the designs of Megamind and Planet 51 had a baby but the movie came out of the bad moments of Monsters vs. Aliens. This movie is annoying. Good for kids, not so funny for adults 2/10. (I hated this movie.)

    Obama must hate this movie

    This is a great movie to take your kids to and yet adults get to enjoy it on a whole different level. Great fun for the kids and lots of "conspiracy theory" and TV show history for the parents. I took my 9 year old daughter and her best friend to watch it, and they loved it.

    If you get my Obama reference, give me a thumbs up.
