    Fantastic Flick!

Amazing scenes depicting the crash. I felt like I had been in a plane crash when I left the theater. very real. Top directing from Robert Zemeckis Great performances from Denzel and John Goodman. Definitely not for kids due to R rating (nudity and language). Very compelling. I forgot that I was in a movie. A must see!

    Excellent Flick

This is a great blend of action and study of addiction. Washington was brilliant. The cast was wonderful. It's a long movie...almost 2 and a half hours but I was so involved in the story, it seemed like a shorter movie. Great movie for the 13 and up age group.

    Awesome Movie

Superb. Another stellar performance by Denzel and John Goodman was the perfect actor for the supporting role. Excellent cast and superb acting. I would definitely see it again and can't wait to own it.

    Denzel Denzel Denzel

It doesn't matter what movie this awesome man plays in, he is amazing! I have seen every movie that Denzel has ever played in and no matter what the story line or the character, he nails it everytime. Flight was incredible. Denzel played his role like the star that he is. It was awesome to see John Goodman - he was hilarious. The "Cancer Patient" in the stairwell was definitely an "ah ha" moment. Point blank - Flight was fantastic! Quite frankly, you could put Denzel Washington in a movie and let him play Mickey Mouse and he will have the fans on applauding at the end of the movie, just like we all were on Friday night in Landover, MD at the Magic Johnson Theatre and on Saturday morning in Waldorf, MD at the St. Charles AMC Theatre. So good I had to see it twice! Way to go Denzel!

    Flight. Awesome

Really enjoyed it. Not as predictable as you would think. Plot draws you in. Denzel doesn't disappoint. First scene has lots of nudity...might not bring the kids

    Fly away to new heights

I took myself on a self-date and bought a ticket online to see Flight. Denzel Washington was terrific ~ no surprise to me! John Goodman stole every scene he was in (which was far too few for me!). Kelly Reilly was such an amazing counterpart to Denzel's addiction. Melissa Leo, though her part was small, was dynamic and engaging.

I don't belive this is a suitable movie for children under the age of 17.

The movie takes you on a rollercoaster ride at the beginning. The crash is suspensful and believeable ~ you feel like you are strapped into a seat right along with the passengers!

Sometimes you are not sure who is on Whip's side (Don Cheadle for instance). It is easy to get caught up in the struggles of the characters in this movie. The ending was unexpected. I will definitely make it to the theatre again to see this movie!

    A Study in Selfishness

This is about the complete and utter selfishness of a person addicted to mood altering chemicals.

There is a moment of epiphany where he whispers "god help me" and steps to the plate as a man to begin a long, lonely and painful journey to come to grips with himself.

The final scene is heart wrenching and underscores that, while he may think he is well along on this journey, he in fact has barely begun.

    One of Denzel Washington's Best!

Wow this is an amazing movie and Denzel Washington delivers one of his best performances. As the movie progresses you keep hoping that his character Whip will do the right thing. You feel his highs and lows and a sense of disappointment when he lets everyone down. This is a well written and well directed movie with a great cast. See it!!

    Flight

I thought it was a great film, laughed, almost cried. Great story and exceptional the way they brought the characters together and Denzel nailed the role as usual. John Goodman was excellet as well; love it when these 2 work together.

    awesome

This movie really suprised me. I thought that this movie went way beyond the trailer. It went into dark areas I didn't think were possible. The acting was great! All of the actors were commited to their roles and played them with such intensity it was phenomonal. Denzel washington nailed it! The directing in the movie and was just perfect and I loved how they wrapped up the movie. Great acting and incredible directing is just the perfect formula for and must-go movie. I would buy this movie on blu-ray and give it 10 out of 10 rating.

Great acting by Washington & Goodman

    by

Really enjoyed this film. Special effects were outstanding and the story line after the crash really altered the lives of the people that were involved. While watching! If you think you can predict how it's going to end, forget it! There are surprises! I like those kinds of movies.

    Flight - not as described!

This movie is advertised as "Flight." It should be advertised as "Addiction." This is a great movie for addicts or recovering addicts, but it had almost nothing to do with flight at all.

Set against the backdrop of a plane crash, the entire movie centers around the main character's addiction, which is in almost every scene - drinking, drugs, over and over and over. At about the 1 hour mark you just want to scream "We Get It - He Has An Addiction!"

Denzel Washington is a great actor, and we always enjoy John Goodman who was excellent in this movie. But this was an 18 minute movie about flight, followed by a 2 hour movie about addiction, and it was a clear, depressing view of how addiction negatively impacts so many lives.

It was definitely not as described, and to us, not entertaining, but rather, depressing, slow, drawn out and disappointing.

    Testament to 12 Step Work

Fascinating study of the mind of an addict and how easy it is to allow grandiosity to subvert self-honesty. Long time Denzel fan. Not sure this was his best work ever, but enjoy his immense talent even when the vehicle isn't optimal. Worth seeing!

    Powerful

    by

If you are a great action movie fan, well it ain't much of action here, a lot of drama though. A man struggling with his demons too self-absorbed to see his own path of destruction. So selfish to see the danger and pain caused to others even the loved ones. Redemption, salvation, what he is looking for? Maybe he is looking for himself. Must see.

Excellent story. I loved the fact that the hero had major falts to overcomeand gained himself and his self respectand the respect of others at the end, making him a true hero.
Denzel was, ofcourse brillant in his performance. the special effects were of the chain! This is one for your collection!

thatsmydingo I honestly thought Flight with Denzel Washington was a comedy because in the trailer it's just a high Denzel flying a plane upside down
