    Great-loved it.

It was like going to a Broadway show - loved it - the singing was great. One of the most entertaining movies I have seen in a long time.

    "Pitch Perfect" isn't quite

Saw it last night, in a nearly empty theater - NOT a good way to see a comedy. I'd say it was blandly likeable and thoroughly predictable. Anna Kendrick, made up to appear prettier than she really is (yes, that is catty, but I'd have believed her character more if there had been at least one reference to all of that eye makeup...which no one else was wearing!), was still perfectly able to bring her role to life. All of the other females, while far, far older than college age, held their own and Rebel Wilson stole every scene. Skylar Astin (where'd he come from?) is totally likeable and charming. The script has so many holes in it, it isn't worth commenting, really. Besides, if you go to a teen musical for the plotting, you're in the wrong theater.

One final word: I don't know about anyone else, but I have never, ever witnessed anyone vomiting explosively or otherwise. Twice in one movie from the same person? What did I tell you about the script...?!

    Girl movie but funny stuff

    by

It's the typical girl doesn't want to focus on boys, comes across one particular boy, tries to avoid falling in love type of movie. Put in simple - it's a chick flick. But there are some pretty funny moments throughout the movie that make it worth seeing in theaters. If you're not into musicals or at least a couple moments where there's musical performances, then avoid this one. But if you don't mind watching some musical performances and love comedies, even romantic comedies, this one is worth seeing.

    Cheesy, feel good movie

    by

Pitch Perfect is fun to watch. It has plenty of good singing, good jokes and some crude humor. Everything you'd expect from a teenage movie about a competition. I great date movie. I really enjoyed it.

    SUPER FUNNY!!!

    by

This movie made me laugh. This was a pretty funny movie, and had good music and actors. Almost anyone would like this movie, but some men might not. It's more of a girly movie, I would defiantly recommend this movie. i would also go see it again if a friend wanted to, and buy it on DVD.

    Sincerely, your awesome movie rater!!!!

    Pitch Perfect

Went with my teenage daughter and didn't expect much but was pleasantly surprised. Very funny and (for a change) clean. Good music. If you like Glee you will like this.

    Funny and fun movie

    by Bananie

I thought Pitch Perfect was a fun movie. There aren't really any big stars in it (they aren't big yet!) which probably made the movie more fun to watch. Glad I saw it at the theater.

    Very Entertaining

I am so glad that I saw this movie in spite of the not so good previews. It was fantastic.
The music is great, but it also has humor, likeable characters and a story. Very fast paced and fun. Good for preteens and up. Males will like it too.

    So funny!

I'm not into the whole Glee/show choir thing but I love Anna Kendrick so I went. It was nice to see her not be the perky girl for once and pulled off the edginess perfectly. Rebel Wilson carried the humor and didn't disappoint. Can't wait to go again!!

    Fat is Beautiful

    by bebeih

Fat Amy (Rebel Wilson) was the show stealer - with a set of pipes that really belt - but it is her one liners that constantly steal the show. You'll have to see it a second time in order to hear what you missed because you were laughing so hard. There were several moments throughout the showing where the audience was clapping, I'm guilty as well.

Although the plot is predictable, it is stronger than any Glee show you may have seen and very entertaining. If you don't know what a mashup is, do your homework before hand, because it is fun to find out which songs that use in one.

Even the character that plays Lilly, although you can't hear her, her character develops throughout the movie, not going to give away anything here, but it's fun to watch.

    Silly girl movie

    by

The film was plain out silly, but it was funny too. It is a great film to numb the mind from distractions. There is no intelligent thinking required, and I laughed out loud quite a bit. It was also nice to see my Alma Mater as the main filming location of this movie.

The comedy of Mean Girls fused with the music of Glee

Overall, this movie was fantastic: fast-paced, hilarious, not too shallow, and musically captivating. The entire theater was roaring with laughter constantly (Fat Amy is HILARIOUS) and it still had a gripping, moving plot that tied it together.
    Loved it!!

    Pitch Perfect

Went to see it with my wife and daughter. They loved it. Kind of reminded me of Glee and Sing Off --- women probably dig this movie more than guys.

    Loved it!

A combination of Glee, American Idol, Xfactor and The Sing Off. The entire audience laughed outloud throughout the movie..."Fat Amy", was the most entertaining of a great cast....hope to see her in many more movies...very funny. One of the most enjoyable movies I have seen in years.

    Great talent, fantastic music

While the theme of ""the underdog kids find success to everyone's surprise" is not new, the style of this movie is unique. The a capella music is outstanding and the cast is perfect. Rebel Wilson will keep you smiling. The harmonies are amazing. Altogether well-done feel-good movie. If you sing or ever wanted to, this movie is for you.
