    Total Nostalgia

I happen to love a cappella b/c I sang it for 4 years at NYU. However, I have never seen a more accurate portrayal of a nostalgic time in my life than I did with "Pitch Perfect." Corny, funny, drama-filled and supportive. That WAS my experience.

    Loved it!

It was funny, xtremely entertaining and this is coming from someone who rarely goes to see films in the theatre. This was for all audiences, in my opinion. The money it cost to see this was well spent!

    Surprising And Unique...Thoroughly Entertaining.

Unlike any music-centric film produced in this generation, ?Pitch Perfect? hits all the high notes...pardon the pun. As funny as it is entertaining, if you enjoy experiencing vocal talent at its finest, this is it. This screenplay's filled with lots of one-liners, even a surprise laugh or two, so the characters are substantive (not there just for the music.) The big plus though, is all the music as performed solely by voices. If you're looking for a good music-filled movie with some great young talent, this is it. See this film. You won't be disappointed.

    A ca-Funny with Great Music

    by RJH970

Another chick night movie. Really liked it. It was a little slow in the beginning but had a lot of funny lines and the music was great if you like a capella. Best character is Fat Amy. Too funny.

    Great little feel good film

    by ttd888

Pleasantly surprised by how well written this film was. Elizabeth Banks and Rebel Wilson are hysterical and Anna Kendrick is superb as always. The music is terrific and the story is well written and told. So nice to walk out of a theater and feel good. Even my husband liked it! A definite must go!

    Hilarious!

    by APH1214

This movie was so much funnier than I though it would be! I loved every second, there really wasn't a moment where you thought "ok here we go with the sappy 'i learned me lesson' crap"
Great casting, great singing, and so much fun to watch!

    Music for the ears

    by

Compared to some of the other shows I've watched this past summer, it's nice to have something more pleasing to listen to and more likely to remember, as well as eye candy. :D

It's fun to think of this as Glee in College w/o the instrumental backups, which can be distracting at times when you wanna listen to a singer's voice thus the acapellas.

Although Beca's Cup audition was short, I would have liked to know more of her DJ/mixing skills. iTunes helped out for the song.

It was a rather rushed college season, especially for the groups. Overall, I'd like to see Beca and the rest of the Aca-Bellas return for the next year in college. Maybe movie shorts, showcasing each singer's talent?

The cast were all great, in their various ways, especially Fat Amy; to be honest, I'm more on Beca's team. :)

Thank you #PitchPerfect, looking forward to more entertainment!

    Super Fun

Clever script full of plenty of humor for girls and guys. Rebel Wilson and Skylar Astin are the breakouts in this movie -- for completely different reasons. I dare anyone not to laugh at Fat Amy. Even if you've never seen an episode of "Glee", you'll laugh at the highly competitive world of collegiate accapella singing. Great for a date night or girls day out. Love the nod to "The Breakfast Club" too.

    Glee in College

    by pedsarq

You'll enjoy this movie if you like the show Glee. It's essentially about a school that takes a cappella way too seriously. There are several competitions, of course, to decide who is best. But, there's not much else too this movie, which chooses to spend way too much time on trivial info than develop its characters.

    Fun and Funny

I really enjoyed this movie. I'm a bit of an acapella nerd, so I loved the music (could have had even more) and really liked the humor throughout the film as well.

"pitch perfect" is right on key!

oh no, bad puns! this movie may use a few of them, but the performances are great! as a fan of skylar astin's since he was on broadway in "spring awakening," it was great to see him in another role.

even though there should have been a bit more of a storyline between astin's jesse and anna kendrick's beca, the movie was still a good time that had me humming the songs and immediately downloading them on iTunes when i got home.

rebel wilson is hilarious as "fat amy," but as an asian-american, i felt like some of the relationship between beca and her "weird" korean roommate was overdone...plus the odd asian girl in the bellas too.

    To any doubters.

    by

The writing makes the movie. Funny the entire time. These writers are amazing. To anybody who is thinking about going, YOU MUST GO!!! Singing is not better than Glee, which makes it more realistic, but still great! Fun for all!

    Pitch Perfect

    by

Loved the movie from start to finish, it was hilarous, and touching at the same time, Rebel Wilson just stole the show. Britney Snow and Anna Kendrick were perfect together, they had great chemistry and are believable as friends. Loved the music, and the love interest for Anna Kendricks character. Everyone was perfectly casted, and this is one of the best movies I've seen. This is for music lovers and A Cappela fans of all ages, but don't take my word for it, see it for yourselves.
