    Jurassic Park 3D

    by lbosick

I have seen this film numerous times.
Seeing it in 3D was a new and exciting experience.
I am convinced that some movies should only be shown in 3D - Jurassic Park is one of them...

Its Jurassic Park on the Big Screen - What more do you need?

The 3-D on Jurassic Park is not especially impressive. It works, and there are some scenes where you will really notice the third dimension. Still, nothing will be snapping it's jaws out of the screen at you or anything like that.

Having said that, Jurassic Park was made to be seen on the big screen. The effects stand the test of time, and seeing this with my daughter (11) was a fantastic experience. We had a great time seeing this movie in all it's glory, with the volume cranked in the theater as it should be. Can't go wrong spending an evening seeing Jurassic Park on the big screen!

    Fantabulous!!

Enjoyable and exciting re-capture of a great film production with the latest technology. Do not cheat yourselves, make sure you're viewing at an IMAX theatre and not RPX

    Its a great movie

    by cwboone

This movie is good and always has been. The 3D isnt as good as other movies because it was never meant to be in 3D. But it is still good enough to go watch. Especially if you haven't watched it in a while.

    Jurassic Park 3D

Still one of my favorite movies of all time and even better in 3d! People of all ages would love to see it even if they have already and especially if they didn't get to see it the first time in theaters! Well worth the money to see it!

    Typical Spielberg

Sure, he's won Oscars, but the stereotypical characters, nick-of-time escapes, and cheesy cute stuff is really overdone in this film. The 3-D effects were great, though, and that was honestly the only reason I agreed to see this film. Ticket was $12, and that was about $11 too much.

3D only makes it look old

Remember the first time you saw 'Jurassic Park'? Mind-blowing, right? Well, twenty years on it's back. But seeing it in again, even in 3D, just reminds us how far the technology has advanced. Watching JP now reminds me of seeing that car I lusted after when I was sixteen, but now, two decades later, I see the same car and realize what a jalopy it really was. Now, JP isn't exactly a jalopy, but it does show its age, and without the eye-popping FX distracting me I can see the underlying weaknesses of the story. At the end, it is a strangely Luddite film, not so subtly denouncing the very technologies that made it possible. The acting is one-dimensional (although watching Sam Neill shake as he gets his first glimpse of the dinos remains a treat). And the story is utterly ludicrous: why makes animals that can kill you with one swipe, then give our heroes nothing more than a shotgun? Might as well have been a steak knife.

I give this tired old bird ***.

If you saw it originally you should see it again

    by Rakura

It should be known that it was to be expected that the 3D experience was limited for me... Having said this I really feel like I had a pair of dirty glasses or something so that could have effected my experience. What did affect my experience was the sound, I swear I was watching it on my TV so that kinda ruined most of the experience.. I'm sorry but when the T-rex roars I want my seat shaking >.It should be known that it was to be expected that the 3D experience was limited for me... If you saw it when it originally came out and remember it, seeing all the technology that was used in the movie and how outdated it is was pretty funny.

    Extremely Disappointed!

I'm a huge, HUGE FAN of Jurassic Park. But when I took my husband last Friday night to see it in 3D, I wanted to ask for a refund! It was the same exact movie from the first time it came out over 10 years ago. There were no extra added scenes, nothing exciting to see in 3D. I was hoping with all the new technology in movies, we would be in for a real treat. Instead, I wasted $33.00 on one of my favorite movies that wasn't worth my time or money.

    A Big Mistake

    by bmankes

Most people would agree that Jurassic Park is a terrific movie. The 3D version however, is almost unwatchable. The picture is dark and nearly colorless. The 3D is distracting and confusing and makes for an uncomfortable and disappointing movie experience. Far from adding to the movie, 3D detracts from it so much that I struggled for the first 45 mins. of the film putting the 3D glasses on and off. I finally gave in and left them on since the film is out of focus without the glasses.
I saw an interview with a movie exec the other day. He said he believes 3D is a fad. I agree. 3D has been around for 60 years If it were going to be the standard for making and watching movies it would have already happened. It is still on the fringe because it is and always will be a gimmick. Movies are meant to be seen in 2D and my experience with JP 3D today just reinforced that notion. You are MUCH, MUCH better of buying or renting the DVD and watching it at home

    Simply Amazing!

Jurassic Park was one of my favorite movies of all time. To be able to see it in 3D was a great opportunity. I highly recommend to watch this movie in 3D. 3D made this original film way better. You could buy the movie or watch it online, but they would not compare to the experience given by 3D.

    NEVER gets told!!

I'll admit it - I've probably seen this movie 100 times. One of my favorites for sure. But seeing it in 3D was AMAZING!!! I actually jumped a couple of times - and I knew it was coming! LOL This was a movie that was MADE for 3D and it did not disappoint. It was done very well with just enough 3D FX and not OVERdone (*cough* Avatar *cough*) Never thought T-Rex could be so beautiful!! :) So glad I caught it during this limited run before it was gone. If you're a fan of the original, go see it in 3D if you can!! You will NOT be disappointed!!

melt0n In the movie Jurassic Park, the roar of the T-Rex was actually a combination of the sounds by a baby elephant, tiger and an alligator.
