    Identity Poop

    I love Jason Bateman but this movie sucked. It stole all of its ideas from the movies Midnight Run and Nothing To Lose. I literally laughed two times during the whole movie. Absolute poop, I barely give it a 4 out of 10.

    Melissa McCarthy my hero

    Identity Thief was funny from beginning to end. My daughter and I went to see the movie and had an awesome time. Melissa/Sandy is talented,funny,sexy and an all around entertainer. I like her in Mike and Molly also. When she was running from the real Sandy in the movie and he caught up to and she asked him was he Kenyan I split my side laughing. So many scenes almost made me wet myself when he hit her with the guitar and threw the grill at her. The movie also had a touching point when she told her life story almost made you feel sorry for her. NOT!!! lol. I would go and see it again and can't wait for it to come out on DVD so i can buy. This movie is a real picker upper if your feeling down. Two thumbs ups to Identity Thief the movie.

    Identify Thief

    cute idea the entire cast was wonderful but the script just did not support the actors it did seem to run a little longer than needed

    Good movie, not too corny

    They did a good job of making it fairly crazy funny, but not getting too corny. They didn't give up all the good gags in the previews, so there are plenty of funny scenes left.

    Funny, with heart, Movie

    It's a great movie to see if you want to laugh, tear up just a little, and laugh some more. It's not ROARING laughter, but it is worth a see at the theater for these 2 talented actors. And it makes you forget what's going on for 2 hours. It was much better than most comedy's out now.

    Liked it - didn't love it

    I thought it was funny but it could have been better - give a 7.5 out of 10. Jason Bateman as always plays the perfect do-gooder and Melissa MacCarthy is just flat out hysterical. The script needed to get more into the addiction of the thief mentality.

    Thief is right! Stole my money!

    Where does one even start with this? Has to be up there in the top 5 worst films I've ever watched. The cast is great, but the writting comes up soooo short. Very cheap laughs, and hey I wanted to really laugh when I saw this. You can see everything coming from a mile away. Too predictable, you keep waiting for the climax of the film to come and it never does. This movie is as flat as watching Yoda do stand-up comedy. Oh wait, that might be funny!

    One too many sub-plots

    In general, if you don't have a good script, no matter how funny the talent is, the movie suffers. And it did so in this case, I'm sorry to say. I wanted to like it so badly, even as I was watching it. But if they cut out at least one of the 'bad guy through lines' then it might have been more palpable. The two leads were wonderful and funny -- so funny that the movie could've stood up on their hijinks alone. It's a rental, at best. C-

    Will it get better?

    That was the question I asked over and over. The best scenes were in the trailers. There a few good parts, but they were separate buy parts that just left me shaking my head.

    like all comedies lately, it has lots of funny parts interspersed with WAY TOO MUCH DRAMA. Except this time, you just feel bad for Bateman through the whole thing (if you have a heart, at least), so you feel like a terrible person for laughing at any parts disparaging him.

    Two great actors, but too sad a movie to be enjoyable. However, if you liked Bridesmaids and thought that was actually funny, you're bound to love this one.

    Go If You're an Adult

    Definitely R. Just about every adult theme you can think of. Why does comedy have to be so out there on the edge? Overall, lots of laughs and funny situations to go with the adult situations. Plenty of vulgarity but at least no one got a tat or a piercing during this movie. I often wonder why young children are even involved in making these very adult movies. They were cute and very respectful kids. In fact their screen Mom had to get them away from Melissa during an ugly story. Had I known about all of this (didn't read enough reveiws, duh) I would have saved my money. But for a brief escape type movie, it was okay. Taking any kids with you might be child abuse.

    Want to Laugh? See Identity Thief

    This movie keeps the laughs going and the story moving forward. The trailers just provide hints about the comedy in story. The best thing is plot twists and turns, taking the story on an outrageous spin through society's foibles and stereotypes without really being serious about them. Plan to laugh, expect a surprise or two, and be entertained.

    Too Blue, Not Funny

    I will laugh at just about anything, but I didn't laugh at this movie. I was all psyched to see a hilarious movie as the two lead actors are so very funny and talented. Unfortunately, there were way too many f-bombs for me to enjoy. Real comedy does not need profanity. I did laugh at the breathalyzer part and the snake part, but my three friends and I sat silent the rest of the movie. I do NOT recommend this movie.

    Great Funny Movie

    If you have a sense of humor, you'll love this movie.

    Melissa McCarthy is the female Chris Farley, so if you enjoy the physical humor that he did, you'll love this Jason Bateman is the perfect straight man foil for her. The audience in our showing was hysterical almost the whole movie, we were as well.
