    Waste of my date night

    I kept hoping it would get better. There were a couple of good laughs but mostly it was just painful to watch. It was offensive on so many levels and just not good. Don't waste your money or time.

    HIlarious and tad bit of a heart tugger

    This movie was an "A" movie to me - "A" must go see! The combination of Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy were perfect! I've grown to be a really big fan of Melissa and look forward to seeing all the movies she's in! This movie was hilarious!!!! I loved it!

    Identy Thief

    Loved this movie, I like to be entertained and laugh, this one was funny from the beginning to the very end!
    Melissa McCarthy is fabulously funny and Jason Bateman was the perfect fit for her counter part.
    Definately not for children, too violent, sex scenes and language.

    They ruined a good story

    We loved the story line of Identity Thief; seeing redeemtive qualities in all people no matter what they've done; but all the gratuitous sexual content just ruined it for us. I would not recommend it.

    Killer funny

    This movie was very funny and actually informative about the ramifications might be if a person had their identity stolen.
    Melissa is hilarious in the movie.

    Not Funny

    I went will the fill expectation that this would be a funny movie. I like both actors and thought there would be some real good scenes... I didnt belly laugh once and only chuckled a couple of times. It was almost depressing as she describes her life... so, while the story line wasn't all bad, it was billed as a comedy and well, it wasn't.

    Identity Theif

    This was a great movie to see and be surprise on the ending. The decisions made by both lead characters was not original and it was great to not figure out what next. Instead it give me an open mind to wonder what it next. Funny to the point I could drink anymore liquids or they will not stay down and I will end up spilling it all on the floor.

    Predictable, but worth the laugh

    Identity thief was a good movie. It's a predictable movie, but it's certainly worth seeing for the jokes. I love Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy. They are both hilarious actors and I like watching any movie they are in. It's certainly not a movie for kids, but that's self-explanatory in the rating.

    So Sad

    My wife and I LOVE both Bateman and McCarthy, and so badly wanted to like this movie. We have loved other quirky/kooky movies from these actors (Bridesmaids and Horrible Bosses), as well as others (anyone remember Something About Mary?). Definitely not this one.

    Our thoughts on Identity Thief match what some of the other NO's are saying: some chuckles, but this movie is just not that funny. Maybe an age thing here (c'mon - we're not THAT old), but I was thinking to myself in the theater "maybe... just maybe this will appeal to teens and college-age folks, but why are WE still here?"

    Also don't know which showings or where the theaters are that others are saying "were cracking up", but not ours: a couple of chuckles, but mostly dead silence. In fact, even the teens ditched. Now THAT's bad.

    Wish we'd changed movies and/or asked for a refund - and we want our night back. Save your time and money - wait for an actual comedy.

    Not falll-out-of-your-chair hilarious, but consistently humorous!

    Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy really make the movie. The plot was a bit lengthy, but the humor was spread throughout and kept your interest without issue. There was one scene where they tried a bit too hard for a laugh, but the movie overall is definitely worthy of paying to see at a theater.

    Identity Thief is a mediocre move

    We watched all the ads on t.v. prior to going to the movie. It looked like it would be nothing but laughs from beginning to end! Sorry to say yes, there are funny parts to it but certainly not from beginning to end. I noticed our local newspaper gave it a rating of 2 out o 5 stars so I was a bit skeptical about going when I saw their rating. Should have waited until it comes out on t.v. or rent a movie. Okay for a cheap matinee but don't think I would pay full movie price to see it again

    Will it get better?

    That was the question I asked over and over. The best scenes were in the trailers. There a few good parts, but they were separate buy parts that just left me shaking my head.

    The movie was terrible... you could predict what was going to happen - the nudity - parents had their grade shool children and the F bomb -- it would be so funny MAYBE without the Fbomb...

    I wouldn't recommend to do see at all. we got up and left the movie we couldn't stand it.. If you look at the movie - it's really sad that she has to do this to make herself Happy but it doesn't
    Sad movie and bad... wasted money..

    Cute movie!

    I went to see this movie with my older and younger brothers. We really enjoyed ourselves, and it was a great funny choice for a silly evening out. I'd say, "Go!" because the humor was pretty thought out. The movie was rated R, but I took my 15 year old little brother, and he handled it just fine. It was silly R, not gory/vulgar R. Enjoy!

    I loved he movie and thought it was very funny. I will buy i when it comes out on DVD. However I am very upset with the review that Rex Reed wroteabout the movie! How dare he call the star of the movie such terrible names. He is very mean-spirited!
