    LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!

    Melissa McCarthy is the gem we have been missing in comedies! She is hysterical, delivers a line, does great physical comedy and is completely unexpected. I've watched her since she was Suki St. James and have always loved her but this is her format. She just shines. Jason Bateman has always done a great straight guy. He is still basically Michael in this movie.

    My only criticism of the movie is that it would have been just as fantastic without the language. Nothing would have been lost to cut the f-words and half the four letter words and make it a PG-13. Maybe would have had to tweak the sex scene too. Sometimes less is more.

    All in all it was great to laugh out loud which I did and often. Loved the movie but really love Melissa!!

    I laughed so hard I cryed

    I loved that movie so much and would go see it again... I needed to laugh and that movie made my night still laugh when i think about it...

    Identity Thief was awesome!

    We have seen the previews a few months ago, the reviews on TV and others were not very favorable, but since the previews we said we really wanted to see and saw it and WE LOVED IT!!! GREat movie! It was smart and funny!

    Was NOT a let down.

    I typically love all Jason Bateman movies because he?s hilarious. The movie was funny and delivers laughs. Although I wouldn?t have died if I missed this in theaters, I?m still very happy I went.

    Much more to it than the trailer

    This is a very humorous movie; there are lots of parts to laugh out loud at. There is also a very serious story in there that is good also. If you go and don?t like it you have absolutely no sense of humor. I?ve never been accused of that. People who go with me are embarrassed by how much and how loud I laugh.

    Almost walked out

    First half of movie was rough to watch, some of the humor was not my style. Second half of the movie seemed to be much evenly done and I even laughed a few times. This having been said, the audience in the theater seemed to enjoy the first half more than I did. 3/5 stars

    My milk shake brings all the movie goers to the yard

    This movie was actually really funny! I am a person who is very picky when it comes to Jason Bateman movies, and this movie was NOT at the top of my list. I went because my girlfriend really wanted to see it, so I took the chance. Definitely turned out very well. We both really liked it a lot! Not a waste of time or money, but rather a great time at the movies with a loved one, friend or solo, it will make you laugh no matter who you are.

    VERY FUNNY !

    Great date movie!! me & my fiance' went to see for Valentines Day & he was a bit hesitant because he thought Jason Bateman may be dry & the movie might me corny..butttttttt.... HE LOVED IT & its a comedy / min drama/ message kind of a movie. Had some sorta sad, downer moments, but right when you wanna grab that tissue, Mrs. McCarthy in true form brings you to tears of LAUGHTER !! this is the FUNNIEST i have ever seen Jason Bateman, & it was quiet refreshing! I know the "society of CRITICS" do not like it, but HELLO, when they usually "RAVE" about a movie most folks usually HATE IT ! lol, i think secretly they get paid to hype a movie up ! lol, guess the creators of Identity Theft did not get that memo & said screw em & their uptight, have no sense of humor behinds ! :) I say go see it & you will definitely get many laughs & enjoyment ! & WHO DOESNT WANNA FEEL JOYFUL ??? :)

    Identity Thief

    Loved it from start to finish, very relatable characters and very funny. The action was great too. Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy are force to be reckoned with. They explosive and hilarious together, just the right chemistry. The plot moved along well and was well written. This movie is for comedy fans alike but don't take my word for it, see it for yourselves.

    Horrible - LEFT 50 painful mins in.

    Had high hopes this would turn out like the movie "The Change Up" with Jason Bateman, unfortunately I was greatly disappointed. My husband and I got up and left 50 mins into the movie and we both agreed it felt like we had been there for 2 hours already.

    This movie is NOTHING like the preview

    The preview the frames the movie as a hilarious comedy. The preview gives you 100% of the humor in the movie. Other than that, it's a not very good action movie with some strange dramatic elements. It certainly has a feel-good aspect to it, but the vast majority of the movie s just uncomfortable to watch.

    So Funny

    This movie is so funny! My fiance and I went to see it last night on one of our very few date nights as we have a 2 year old daughter. We had a really good time watching this movie as we were laughing almost the whole time. Great go see it!

    Right level of expected funny

    It was funny in the newly expected level of humor associated with Melissa McCarthy, and Justin Bateman did a good job in his straight man role. It was good to see several other well known tv or movie people pop up throughout the show. The buzz kill here was the parents who brought their 10-14 year old boys to see this R rated movie. No appropriate for that age; hence the R rating.

    Identity Thief

    Melissa is hilarious and is wonderful to see slapstick at the theater again. I laughed so much my stomach hurt but I was also worried that the trailers would have given away all the story. It was a wonderful time, we all need laughter in our llives.

    Just a so-so movie
