    VERY FUNNY !

    Great date movie!! me & my fiance' went to see for Valentines Day & he was a bit hesitant because he thought Jason Bateman may be dry & the movie might me corny..butttttttt.... HE LOVED IT & its a comedy / min drama/ message kind of a movie. Had some sorta sad, downer moments, but right when you wanna grab that tissue, Mrs. McCarthy in true form brings you to tears of LAUGHTER !! this is the FUNNIEST i have ever seen Jason Bateman, & it was quiet refreshing! I know the "society of CRITICS" do not like it, but HELLO, when they usually "RAVE" about a movie most folks usually HATE IT ! lol, i think secretly they get paid to hype a movie up ! lol, guess the creators of Identity Theft did not get that memo & said screw em & their uptight, have no sense of humor behinds ! :) I say go see it & you will definitely get many laughs & enjoyment ! & WHO DOESNT WANNA FEEL JOYFUL ??? :)

    Hilarious!!

    Absolutely hilarious movie. My wife and I have been looking forward to seeing this movie since the first time we saw the previews. It absolutely lived up to our expectations and then some!! We also liked the (mostly) realistic ending that made the movie more believable.

    Cute Take on Real Problem

    I thought the movie was pretty amusing and I got some good laughs out of it. They took a major issue and made it a bit lighter and funnier. And the ending was very neat. I think it's worth the price of a ticket to see.

    LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!

    Melissa McCarthy is the gem we have been missing in comedies! She is hysterical, delivers a line, does great physical comedy and is completely unexpected. I've watched her since she was Suki St. James and have always loved her but this is her format. She just shines. Jason Bateman has always done a great straight guy. He is still basically Michael in this movie.

    My only criticism of the movie is that it would have been just as fantastic without the language. Nothing would have been lost to cut the f-words and half the four letter words and make it a PG-13. Maybe would have had to tweak the sex scene too. Sometimes less is more.

    All in all it was great to laugh out loud which I did and often. Loved the movie but really love Melissa!!

    Silly Good Time

    My boyfriend and I loved it! So many comedies have come out recently that try just too hard (e.g. Movie 43), thank goodness not this one! Effortlessly funny, and wonderful characterization really makes this film a Must Go!

    Melissa absolutely makes this movie -- not once does it turn too mushy, and the ending is actually pretty realistic!

    Was NOT a let down.

    I typically love all Jason Bateman movies because he?s hilarious. The movie was funny and delivers laughs. Although I wouldn?t have died if I missed this in theaters, I?m still very happy I went.

    Major Disappointment

    Identity Thief isn't even a "wait til it comes out on DVD" .... it's a "don't wait your time, you'll miss nothing" movie. I was expecting 2 hours of laugh out loud moments -- the theater was totally silent. It was lame. The jokes didn't work, the plot was stupid, the script was cheesy, and despite the best efforts of Justin Bateman and Melissa McCarthy, the movie just sucked. After about an hour, you just want it to be over. Totally disappointing.

    Great way to spend a couple of hours!

    Justin Bateman and Melissa McCarthy are fantastic together! We started laughing early and continued laughing till the end. So many little surprises that weren't ruin by the previews. Highly recommend for great night's entertainment.

    Identity Thief

    It was funny and cetainly gave me some laughs but I would not recomment bringing children as some of the scenes are very graphic and not for youngsters. I saw people there with kids and thought to myself that was not a very good idea. I have a friend that went to see it with her 12 year old daughter and she said she never should have taken her.

    More Than You Pay For :)

    I have been waiting for a good movie like this for a while. It was freakin halarious and had a really touching twist. Not what i expected. Never got bored and was truly drawn to the movie. I'm glad i watched it. And the boyfriend loved it :)

    Almost walked out

    First half of movie was rough to watch, some of the humor was not my style. Second half of the movie seemed to be much evenly done and I even laughed a few times. This having been said, the audience in the theater seemed to enjoy the first half more than I did. 3/5 stars

    Very Funny ... Melissa makes the movie!

    Not every movie is an Oscar contender... This movie delivered plenty of laughs and some heartfelt / tender moments. We are already big fans of the cast, most especially Melissa .... She is a great physical and visually expressive comic. Yes, these movies are a bit predictable, but there is enough fun here to make this a very enjoyable movie.

    It was funny, I will give it that.
    What I like to do when rating movies is to use a scale like "Must see" and "Wait for Video" and "No Way In Hell". This movie is a solid "Wait for Video". Although I enjoyed the film, laughed quit a bit, it was kinda predictable. Melissa McCarthy stole the main role from Jason Bateman in this film by just plain being funnier. Jason had his moments and you do feel for the guy but Melissa was a riot.
    I think I will create a new category just because of this film - "Definitely Rent It When It Comes Out For Video".

    Hilarious!

    I went by myself, and normally when I do that, films seem toNOT be as funny. However, I found myself wheezing and snorting! Melissa McCarthy and Jason Bateman have great comedic chemistry and though you can predict the direction the movie takes, it still gets you. One of a few I would actually go see again instead of waiting for the video release.

    I laughed so hard I cryed

    I loved that movie so much and would go see it again... I needed to laugh and that movie made my night still laugh when i think about it...
