It's entertaining and a lot less bloody than Django ! !

Not a bad action story with some surprises. Set in NYC involving the Mayor, a political rival and a pooh bah from the Police Dept along with a disgraced cop and the Mayor's wife. Great acting by Zeta-Jones one of Hollywood's true bombshells. She has the grace and class of Audrey Hepburn. Mark W and Russel Crowe deliver their normal journeyman performances. Seasoned actors.

    Broken City

Very disappointed, boring and all over the place. With so many good actors you would think somebody would have said, "No, this sucks!" Just too much wasted time that lead to weak plots and predictable thrills. When the so call thrill builds up (lame), it leaves you wamdering now the real action is going to take place. Not! A couple of times when I looked around it seemed 40% of the movie goers were asleep. I feel cheated. All the hype for what? This so called movie should have never made it to the big screen. FLOP!

    Broken Movie

This movie had a lot of potential, with good acting and story line, but was limited by poor writing and by one thing that can make a good movie great - the music. There were also a lot of distracting technical errors and dialogs that weren't believable. 'Broken City' had the appearance of a movie made by someone who was either a novice, or someone who just didn't care very much about the final product. It's not a bad movie. Just not as good as it could have been.

    Great Film!

    by

I really liked this movie. I love Mark Wahlberg and Russell Crowe's characters. There were some other nice suprises with characters as well. All the weaving of the story was good but I wanted a bit more at the end.

    Broken Movie

Broken City is a poorly directed and written movie. They should hand you a flow chart of characters with names and what role they play. It's hard to follow the story line. Wahlberg and Crowe are good actors.but this was not their best movie by far. The rest of the cast are not up to speed with the movie. The story left gaps and the director expects the audience to follow what he is trying to convey. I wouldn't waste my time with this movie. Their were 10 people in the theatre watching this movie when I attended. Save your money and stay home.

Go See Broken City! No, Go see it!

    by

A very solid crime thriller, with terrific performances from everyone in the cast.

Lots of twists that, though at times made the plot convoluted, were no less fun and surprising in some cases.

It was great to see Catherine Zeta-Jones back and in fine form, vamping it up as Hostettler's (sp?) wife.

It's a very good movie. Go see it!

    Not great but entertaining

    by

I feel like I spent the whole movie waiting for it to get better. It was a usual cop type movie which I enjoy though so it wasn't horrible. My wife went in whining and complaining because she doesn't like Russell or Mark, but she left the theater saying that it wasn't bad. There are some holes in the plot that I think if filled with another 15 or 20 minutes of movie would have greatly improved it overall. I give it a 6/10. It was very close to being a 7 though and I think I would enjoy watching it again.

    Tremendious

Very good movie, in Mark Walberg and Russell Crow + cast, perform to an excellence that truly carried beyond expectancy. It really held your attention from start to finish; because the characters all contribute to important roles that reflected where the movie want you (audience) to go. Great!!!!!!

    Broken City

Good Movie. Love the characters. Makes you wonder how many governmental officials are this corrupt. I would not take young children to see this movie. Fowl language. Don't think they would be able to follow the plot of the story. I would recommend this to anyone who likes suspense or thriller.

    Broken City

The movie was fine but seriously compromised by the absolutely horrible seats. If the seats hadn't been so bad, then I think I would have enjoyed the movie even more. Two of my favorite actors was hard to pass up! I got a little lost when trying to connect the dots, but, in general, I liked the movie and acting.

    Broken City, Broken Script

It was very predicatble and seemed to feed off of classic Walberg movies with a lot less action and not enough intrique to make up for it. Actors were great but the script was weak.. Directing was just above adequate.

I think I saw Rob Reiner in a fight scene

I pretty sure Rob Reiner was in a fight scene in Broken city. He was the one in between a father and son fight in an office space. And the rest of the movie was really good too.

    This movie was good

If you like movies that keep you guessing and on the edge of your seat then you will really enjoy this movie. This is a great action packed movie and Mark Wahlberg does a great job.

    Disappointing

    by

I found the movie almost slightly confusing. Very slow. I think Mark Wahlberg is a great actor. The story line was dragged out. I really don't recommend this film at all.
