    The Impossible

This was a great movie. My husband and I both enjoyed it and would see it again. The action was so real and the actors did a wonderful job. This was a true story and it seemed as if it was just happening as everything was so real.

    Spectacular!!!

Not a dull moment in this movie. Guaranteed "Weeper" film but all worth it at the end. Treat yourself and your loved ones to this truly amazing true story.

Captures the Hope and Humanity out of the horrific events of the tsunami

One of the best films I have ever seen. It took the time to focus on the things that make us human. I would not bring children to this movie, because it so realistically brings the viewer to experience first hand the devastation of the tsunami. However, the wonderful scenes of all the people helping victims and each other made this an example of what we should focus on as a society.

Great film of survival midst such devestation

This is a heart-wrenching movie. Not one to see if you have recently lost a loved one. The trauma and stress that this family endures is remarkable. Such strong characters. You will want to hug your spouse and kids after this one.

    real deal

The ultimate survival. A truly miraculous recovery from the depths of oblivion. The most inspiring true life story to the silver screen that could possibly be.

    Believer

    by

This movie will shake you to your core of what you hold dear and true. I did not realize the content would be so raw and vivid. A great job was done portraying the events of such a tragic situation. Will definitely rip the tears out of you.

    the impossible

Should be the number one movie of the year from the story line(true) to the acting ,photography, special effects . The older brother and family savior is incredable. Despite all of the great nominees for the Academy award, this young man(I do not know his name) age about 12 or so, deserves the Oscar. Get out the hankies you fathers and mothers...Tom Holland is the young actor.

    Great story of human perseverance!

Helps people see the importance of family in this day and age when everyone is locked into their separate electronics ... when terror strikes, family means so much! Will this start a new genre of film around dealing with the contemporary natural disasters we are seeing due to climate change?

    Bring kleenex!

Great acting by both MacGregor, Watts and the children. The one thing that I could have done without? Seeing just about the entire movie in the trailer. I knew the storyline from beginning to end from watching the trailer. Don't do that!

    Touches on every emotion!

    by

This film frightened me, dazzled me, brought me to tears, and left me with a good feeling when it was over. The acting was superb and the special effects were simultaneously realistic and artistic. Well done!

    Prepare yourself

Before going to this movie you need ask yourself "am I in the mood for something so intense that I will be cringing for 1 1/2 hours? " I wasnt prepared. The cinematography is beyond imagine. The story line captivating primarily because it's a true story. Just know going into the theatre that you will not be humored or inspired. You will be emotionally torn apart.....one frame at a time.

An "edge of your seat" movie!

Really enjoyed this movie. Almost gave it a Must Go. But I just couldn't give it a "must go.' I recommend going to see this movie.

A Powerful Movie and a Powerful Story

I really don't know how they made this movie (i.e., special effects); parts of it are so horrific. It made a tremendous impact on the whole audience in the theater where we watched it, and parts are VERY sad -- even more so because its' true -- but it's a wonderful story of family devotion to one another! The cast was wonderful; Naomi Watts gave an Oscar-worthy performance, as did the young actor who played her son Lucas.
