    great and amazing

This movie was everything I hoped it would be. Amazing footage of getting caught in tsunami. I really could almost feel being tossed by the waves. Great personal story that we all can identify with. Hard to find words.

    Amazing

This was an incredible story done by incredible film makers. I don't know why the film makers felt everyone had to be English though - the true story was about a Spanish family. Aside from that oddity, I found this to be one of the best movies I've ever seen, even if the story is tremendously sad.

    Moving and realistic

Loved the movie. Seemed very realistic, had to fight back tears. Extraordinary famly love depicted convincingly. Was suprised to see family looked a bit different than the family in the movie.

    the impossible

Should be the number one movie of the year from the story line(true) to the acting ,photography, special effects . The older brother and family savior is incredable. Despite all of the great nominees for the Academy award, this young man(I do not know his name) age about 12 or so, deserves the Oscar. Get out the hankies you fathers and mothers...Tom Holland is the young actor.

    Absolutely fantastic!

This was an amazing movie! It grabbed you from the minute the wave hit the resort. Extremely emotional and powerful. If you don't leave that movie with a new appreciation for your wife and children, then you don't have a heart!

Impossible to watch and have dry eyes!

    by

This movie was a heavy one. You really got a sense of what it would have been like to experience a tsunami. The acting was superb. The boy who played Lucas should get an academy award. He stole the movie. Don't see this if you want a fun movie, but don't miss it either.

The Impossible is a Transformative Human Potential Story

Stunning cinematography and brilliant acting + characters that showed selfless love in the face of unfathomable adversity + a true story with an outcome that truly was impossible. This film will change you (for the better.)

    An experience

    by njcomet

A movie that one has to see if just for the filming and sheer devastation of the region as portrayed. The story, desperation, was overwhelming. You have to remember the whole time that its a happy ending or else you might lose it. The acting was superb, especially the 3 kids, Lucas deserves a special mention.

    The Impossible

One of the best pictures I've seen in a long time. You really feel that you are a part of this movie. You will talk about it for a long time. Perfectly scripted, acted, and casted. Kudos to everyone who had a speaking part in that movie.

A Testament to the Human Spirit

    by KEAL04

Just got back from seeing The Impossible - an excellent movie. The acting in it is fantastic especially the boy who plays Lucas. I could have used an entire box of Kleenex; the emotional tribute to the human spirit is deeply moving. The musical score definitely enhances this. Several people who attended the same showing were as blown away as I was. All we could do was sit there watching the credits roll as we tried to return to everyday life. Three thumbs up!

Wait for it to come to cable

Was just a so-so movie. The story line is interesting. Parential choices made by "true story" actors "impossible" to believe. Ms. Watts gives a good performance. Not a bad movie, just so-so.

    The Impossible

S--t happens. It happened big-time that horrible day of the tsunami. Left the show feeling grateful to be alive and breathing. Also a little drained from all the drowning scenes. Be in the mood for alot of water, blood, separation and pain. Up side, families count. Many waters cannot quench love.

    Movies are for entertainment

I love movies that you can really sink your teeth in. This is not one of those. Very good effects, acting, editing, cinematography.......but it is a movie of survival, and it gets to be pretty disturbing.....I didn't see much entertainment element to it, but many disturbing images.

    Oscar Worthy

Originally, I had decided not to see this movie. After hearing what great performances were delivered I changed my mind. It is a "sit on the edge of your seat" movie. Tears, yes. Tears of pain, sadness, and great joy. There are many stories that came out of this great tragedy, this is one that tells the tale of the worst of the worst and best of the best. A story that deserves telling, one certainly worth seeing. Your only disappointment will be if you don't see it.
