    All Cirque

A must go for all Cirque du Soleil fans. It got off to a slow start but was a wonderful movie. The filming from different perspectives gave the audience an experience unable to have when seeing the Cirque shows live. A well woven story with phenomenal circus acts.

    A wonderful enjoyable artistic experience.

    Thank you Cirque.

    Great movie

I am a big fan of Cique de Soleil shows and this was a beautiful montage of some of their best shows. I've seen most of them in person but never had a chance to see the characters so closely and that made it more fascinating. The story line strung all the scenes from the different shows together so well. And, having it 3D really made it come alive. I highly recommend it!

Save Your Money To See It live!

If you have never seen a Cirque Du Soleil show live then you might enjoy this movie more than I did. It was a good effort with the 3D but it just doesn't compare with the scale of seeing a live performance. It was kind of cool to see the up close shots of some of the stunts though giving a perspective you wouldn't get at a live show. If you want to see a Cirque Du Soleil show but can't afford it this would be a good alternative.

Beautiful and Stunning a visual treat

This movie had beautiful visuals and there were no real acion packed fights; however; I really did not expect one. I showed love, compassion and excellent visuals. It was a GREAT investment fr the dollar.

Cirque du Soliel: Worlds Away: Something New Under the Sun

    by sid411

An awesome adventure! Cirque du Soliel: Worlds Away is a love story with a heroine who speaks only two words and a hero who never speaks at all. It is an amazing, exotic, somewhat erotic journey into the worlds of the circus, of dance, acrobatics, gymnastics, and clowning, of the shadow sides of life, full of mystery.

This movie is outside the box at every level: 3D that is used well, not overwhelming; real people with images from anime; cultures and costumes from all over this world, and music that seems out of this world.

At one point, an aerialist inside a cube becomes a juggler spinning and tossing the same cube. This, to me, is what Worlds Away is all about - the human capacity to turn life inside out, see things in new ways, and create wonder.

A bit slow for this Cirque fan..

I love Cirque du Soliel productions, and have seen most performances. This specific movie production was a bit too slow for my liking. As always, the music and acts were great (all acts were a compilation of other performances such as Kooza, New York, New York, etc.) but the story line was a bit slow, and the setting was mostly dark. For me, it was so-so.

It was an awe-inspiring all access pass

The show was spectacular. The 3D and cinematography put you right up close in a way you would never be able to see live.

    Absolutely fantastic!

Where is the 3D effects ?

A nice story line with parts from several shows highlighted to complete the movie. The costumes were original & fantastic throughout. The colors were vibrant, the action acrobatics were excellent. James Cameron did a good job bringing the ( Avatar Effects ) to the screen, but we were waiting for the 3D effects during the whole movie!!!

Absolutely fantastic! Cirque delivers a true experience.

    by

I have been to a number of real time Cirque shows so I was wondering if seeing it in film would take away from the experience. Needless to say my concerns were so wrong. This is a fabulous Cirque journey that takes you through so many of their amazing performances but binds them so cohesively and beautifully. I was mesmerized from the beginning to end and as with all the Cirque shows, when the end came I found myself wanting more.

Bravo Cirque du Soleil: Worlds Away.

    For Circue Lovers

The movie is beautifully photographed and the music fits and helps move it along. I do think you would get the most out of the movie if you are a Cirque fan, which we are. To see the Circque performers up close and personal is a real treat and we are in awe of their physicallity, the choreography and the costumes. For us it was a WOW!

Go See Cirque in Person Instead

    by

Terrible filming of incredible circus acts. I thought James Cameron would do a better job but it's very choppy with edits every 4 seconds or so. Don't waste your money on the movie but go spend it on an actual Cirque du Soleil show. This movie is like one long advertisement for the various shows that are in Vegas. It's very unsatisfying because he hardly ever shows you the entire act from the audience perspective. There's nothing worse than watching close-ups when you want to stand back and see what's going on. It's like focusing on a dancer's face when they are doing an amazing move. Cameron wastes a lot of film on the background and people walking meaningfully around in a mystical fantasy world.

It was an EXPERIENCE not a movie

This little advertised 3D show, CirqueDu Soleil, was an experience for the senses. It was so full of action that I had to remind myself to relax my muscles and try not to "help" the performers from my seat. Our tummies felt a little motion trouble at times because the 3D action made us feel like we were swinging along with the acrobats! I really enjoyed every minute of this film. I hope they make it available in theaters again so we can share it with our family and friends who missed it!
