    Long, but worth it

overall it was worth it. There are asome slow parts, however if you have never seen one of thier live shows before I can see why it would seem slower than a traditional movie. We of course loved the BEatles selections(though traditionally not our type of music) but the scenes were happy, light and inspiring.

    Beautiful experience

    by keruin

I wish we didn't have to wear 3D glasses but the effect is amazing. The gorgeous scenarios, unfathomable abilities of the players, and music were lovely to behold.

Cirque du Soleil Worlds Away 3D

    by my202

The movie was a thrill to watch. Better than seeing it live. We went to a live performance in Kansas City this spring. The movie was better. You get better views, up close and personal.

Removes all the magic of a Cirque Show

While the performers are outstanding, the moment you sit back and begin to enjoy the performances they cut away to a different angle or different element of the stage show. The camera is in strange places which does nothing to help capture the magic of the Cirque experience. Save your money and go to a live show and skip this expensively shot but inadequate infomercial.

    Great Advertisement for Las Vegas!

    by jmarler

This movie is great, but the 3D effects lacked any real depth! Many 3D have the images come out into the audience, but nothing like that was shown where we went, even though the commercial makes it seem that this was what should happen...

It is a compiliation of the various shows in Las Vegas by Crique and we enjoyed it, but to pay to attend an ad for their shows was not what I was hoping for. If you want to see the various shows of Cirque in Vegas, this is a taster for each of the shows. We just happened to have seem most of the spectacular shows but chose not to go to ELVIS or Beatles, etc.

Not high marks in my grade book.

    Worlds Away

This movie was fantastic. It was great to see the costumes and performances up close and at different angles and even in slow motion. It made me appreciate the live shows I have seen even more. This movie is a must see for all die-hard Cirque fans!

    Beautiful Escape

I loved this movie. It was basically what you'd see in a stage show, except with a stronger story and a few extra things you'd expect in a movie. Seeing it in 3D is definitely the best way to watch it, as you feel much closer to all the action, although there were sequences where I felt very strange. Sort of unreal. It can definitely be trippy, so if you have problems with anxiety or anything like that, 2D may be a better option for you. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves Cirque du Soleil or just likes a good show. Great date movie too!

Cirque du Soleil weird but beautiful

    by Goofyq

Fantastic and amazing performances by all. Pieces from four or five shows are loosely woven into a sort of stressed storyline. Performers on a vertical wall, on a steeply slanted wall, sycn swimming in a big pool and a giant bowl, in the air on spinning drums and in & on an airship, and lots more. Great costumes. Great music. Great 3d presentation. Plus keepsake 3D glasses.

    Another Must SEE

I have been fascinated with Cirque de Solieil for years. The uniqueness of their presentation, costumes and story are mind-bogglingly entertainment!! The movie was no disappointment--only offering a less expensive way to enjoy the talents of their many artista. Keep the movies coming!!

    Disappointed

    by Atapu

    We LOVE Cirque!!!!!
We found that this was not a movie like we had originally thought but just a long commercial for all the shows in Vegas. Very disappointed!! Its much better to just see them live. My kids now ages 11-13 have seen over 12 live shows and they were disappointed. My husband and I almost fell asleep.

    Disappointing

When the movie started, it had a kind of Alice in Wonderland quality to. A young girl attending the circus falls for an aerialist at first sight, but when their eyes meet he misses a swing and begins to fall to the ground. But rather than a deadly impact, the ground turns to quicksand, sucking him and, and the girl chases after. The premise seems spectacular until you get to the meat of the story. While the scenes that were filmed specifically of the girl on her search for the aerialist are quite good and interesting, the film is roughly stitched together with scenes from other Cirque du Soleil performances that have absolute zero connection to the storyline. Chunks at a time you are introduced to long, drawn out scenes with no context and no appearance of the main characters. It's just filler. Beautiful filler, of course, but the fact that it's such a jarring transition from the narrative, it really takes away from the skill of the performers and the movie just falls apart.

    Just didn't get there.

    by

I love Cirque du Soleil, and have seen them twice before. I was very much looking forward to this, and can't begin to tell you how disappointed I was. The sound was flat, and the 3d was dull and lacked good depth. There were some good parts, with the ending being beautiful. However, I would NOT recommend this it any fan.

A 10! for those who love Cirque Las Vegas shows

I - LOVED - IT!!!!!!!!! I want to see it again! And I will...going back two or three times next week.

There are couple of requirements to enjoying this movie:

    1. You have to LOVE Cirque Du Soleil. Not just "like"...you have to love them.
    2. Don't spend even one second trying to analyse the plot.
    3. It helps a lot to have seen at least a few of these shows in Las Vegas because the movie selects some of the best parts from each.
    4. Did I mention you have to LOVE Cirque du Soleil?

My favorite Cirque show in Vegas is "The Beatles' Love" and there are about six scenes from it, including "Get Back," "Octopus's Garden," "Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds," "Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite!", "While My Guitar Gently Weeps," and the film ends with a group shot of curtain moments for the different show casts set to "All You Need Is Love."

Cinematography is excellent. And the 3D is spectacular!

    Beautiful experience

Not really sure what to expect, but there were many vignettes taken from active shows across the world and expertly woven into a love story. Physical feats were unbelievable but then again...that is Cirque du Soleil. Go see it....you won't be disappointed.

    Cirque du Soleil 3D

    by

I've always been a fan and have seen two of their shows. However, with times as they are I decided it would be more rational to see it in the theaters this year vs live. It was a nice collective of shows. There was an introduction, however, in the very beginning that would have better been placed after the movie ended. Other then that, good movie..but not great.
