    Don't Believe The Hype

Colors and costumes, not as vivid as advertised. Many scenes filmed as if you were sitting in the "cheap seats", so you lacked that "front row" and/or "up close" experience... even in 3D! My fam & I have seen live performances and thought the theatrics were good in the movie, but the visual was a little janky.

    Must Go for CdS fans

If you have ever attended and enjoyed a Cirque de Soleil performance, then this is a must see movie for you. You will be amazed by the beauty and ability of these artists.

    A sampler of Cirque

You do not have to have seen any other Cirque shows to enjoy the movie, but if you have seen any I think you may enjoy the movie more. For me,too many of the Cirque de Soleil shows are very impressive circus shows. It's shows like Ka that I like the most because of the story line and the action around it. In Worlds Away there is a story that links the action and gives it a goal. Parts of various shows are woven around the central story line. These are performed on the specialized stages built for the various shows. One of the significant differences between viewing the movie and being in the audience at the various shows is that in the movie you get camera perspectives you do not get in the auditorium of the show--close-ups and views from above. But, from the auditorium the size of things and the control of sound in the room (as in Ka) are not reproduced in the movie. The duet, between the girl and the Aerialist, at the end with the forest scene from Ka was very moving.

If you're even remotely interested in Cirque du Soleil this movie is completely worth your time and money.

    by

The two best things about this movie were the closeups and the slow motion, the third best thing was several of their shows were incorporated into one story for the movie. The action in a live show is very fast and dramatic, it was wonderful to see the foot placements, the hand holds and releases, the seemingly physically impossible feats up close and slow enough to grasp the action.

The viewer who may not be familiar with Cirque du Soleil gets a terrific opportunity to see the amazing costumes and hear the original music from several shows. Of course visuals leave you breathless as is true with the live shows.

The only negative was having to wear the 3D glasses which are uncomfortable for me, and overall we were of the mind that the 3D did not enhance the movie enough to make it worthwhile.

Other than that this show is a must, children and adults together will be mesmerized.

Cirque du Soleil: Worlds Away - Spectacular!!

Worlds Away was spectacular and much more than I expected. I bought 13 tickets for my three girls, their husbands and all my grandchildren to see it. My grandkids range in age from 8 to 22 and they throughly enjoyed the film. If given the chance they all we would love to see a live show after seeing this wonderful movie.

Cirque du Soleil Worlds Away 3D

The movie was a thrill to watch. Better than seeing it live. We went to a live performance in Kansas City this spring. The movie was better. You get better views, up close and personal.

    Enjoyable Family outing

    by gwhz

We had family from out of town and wanted to do something special - Cirque Du Soleil filled the bill. As a group we had a wide range of interests, ages and views. Also one hearing impaired family member. This movie rose above expectations and was enjoyed by all for it's special effects, talented qymnasts and elaborate sets. No "real" acting or storyline but just a fun movie for the family to watch and talk about after.

    No plot, nice acrobatics

Nice acts, but this is a commercial promo with separate, unrelated moments from many shows. The performers are great, but at 1 hour 30 minutes, it's impossible to hold one's attention. Go to the real, live shows, if you can.

    Most expensive commercial

I was very disappointed in the movie. I was expecting a completely new set of acts but it is just several acts from their Vegas shows loosely woven together in a story. Honestly, it just comes across as a 1-1/2 hour commercial for their Vegas shows. You can tell they have taken stock footage of their shows and just added the male and female character. Cirque stick to making your wonderful shows and stay out of the movie making business.

That being said, the movie did open my eyes to their Elvis and Beatles shows which I would not have considered attending before I saw parts of them in this movie. Of course, the Elvis show has closed anyway.

    A complete waste of $12

    by Bups

This movie was a complete waste of money. The best part of the entire time I spent in the theater was the previews. Save your money and see something else.

It was an EXPERIENCE not a movie

This little advertised 3D show, CirqueDu Soleil, was an experience for the senses. It was so full of action that I had to remind myself to relax my muscles and try not to "help" the performers from my seat. Our tummies felt a little motion trouble at times because the 3D action made us feel like we were swinging along with the acrobats! I really enjoyed every minute of this film. I hope they make it available in theaters again so we can share it with our family and friends who missed it!

    Beautiful!

We have been to all the Cirque du Soleil perfomances at United Center and this movie is truly a Cirque du Soleil genre. It seemed to be a compilation of different Cirque shows as we had seen some of the acts at the United Center in different shows.

The cinematography was beautiful and the story was done in typical Cirque du Soleil fashion. If you've never been to a Cirque du Soleil show, see the movie. It takes you into their world, non like ours, and everything is beautifully choreographed. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

    Breath taking

    Music captivating.
    Visual beautiful
Did not like the Beatle section. Personally did not think it went with all the other beautiful parts.
    Would love to see again.
