Beautiful and inspiring to viewers fo all ages

    by

I really enjoyed the movie. I have been to a few Cirque do Soleil shows and this is certainly no substitute for the real thing. However, for those who may not have the opportunity to experience that, it is a lovely experience.
I went with two adult friends and the audience was full of children. Not only were my friends inspired and awed by the aesthetics, the children in the audience were utterly entranced throughout the movie. There were a couple of little voices asked questions midst it, but for the most part they were totally absorbed. It was beautiful to watch them at the end of the movie as several broke into feats of gymnastics or their own dance routines inspired by the music of the closing credits.
All in all, if you're looking to spend an hour and a half of just pleasure and beauty, I strongly recommend this movie.

Absolutely fantastic! Cirque delivers a true experience.

    by

I have been to a number of real time Cirque shows so I was wondering if seeing it in film would take away from the experience. Needless to say my concerns were so wrong. This is a fabulous Cirque journey that takes you through so many of their amazing performances but binds them so cohesively and beautifully. I was mesmerized from the beginning to end and as with all the Cirque shows, when the end came I found myself wanting more.

Bravo Cirque du Soleil: Worlds Away.

    A new perspective

    by Camelot

A stunning visual into Cirque that you probably haven't seen before, even if you're an ardent fan.

It'is full of the artistry, imagery and magic that has become the signature of Cirque, but somehow it misses something in translation to the big screen. That may be inevitable since you know that every movie is going to be perfect, unlike in real life where there's always a chance, no matter how small, that someone will slip, or miss their cue.
I also found it a little jarring with the changing camera angles and especially the use of slow motion at points. Sure, you get to see a different viewpoint of the artists, and maybe see a detail that you wouldn't have seen from the 20th row, but somehow, at least to me, Cirque is all about the overall encompassing image. The wide panning shots worked better, at least for me.
Overall, though, it was an enjoyable ride that covered several of their live shows. Worth seeing even if you don't leave with quite the same high that get in real life.

    Overall, great movie.

I liked the story, and the visuals were amazing. seemed a little longer than it could have been, but I loved the parts with the Beatles songs

    Awesome Beyond This World!!!

Breathtaking - This is the most unreal show ever! The synchronized swimming and aerobatics are phenomenal. The physical prowess of the cast members and master riggers was incredible. I was especially captivated by the jellyfish though they were only shown for a minute. The finale was fascinating and kept my attention. The sound track was the best. Very reasonably priced tickets at our local theater - take the whole family.

A 10! for those who love Cirque Las Vegas shows

I - LOVED - IT!!!!!!!!! I want to see it again! And I will...going back two or three times next week.

There are couple of requirements to enjoying this movie:

    1. You have to LOVE Cirque Du Soleil. Not just "like"...you have to love them.
    2. Don't spend even one second trying to analyse the plot.
    3. It helps a lot to have seen at least a few of these shows in Las Vegas because the movie selects some of the best parts from each.
    4. Did I mention you have to LOVE Cirque du Soleil?

My favorite Cirque show in Vegas is "The Beatles' Love" and there are about six scenes from it, including "Get Back," "Octopus's Garden," "Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds," "Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite!", "While My Guitar Gently Weeps," and the film ends with a group shot of curtain moments for the different show casts set to "All You Need Is Love."

Cinematography is excellent. And the 3D is spectacular!

    CirqueDuSoleil

I have always wanted to see them, and it was worth waiting for. It was so beautiful the backgrounds the costumes, and especially the performers ,they were spectacular. You were drawn into the story from beginning to end. You didn't want the story to end.

    Great show!!

    by

Contained elements of all the Cirque du Soleil shows in the Las Vegas casinos, but at a much better price. Also, you were closer to the action than if you were in the audience at a live casino performance, due to the great photography. Highly recommend it - maybe for older children though.

Cirque Du Soleil - Worlds Away

When I learned it was a love story I was a little bit worried but t ended up being AMAZING! It makes you really want to go see a Cirque Du Soleil show! Amazing costumes and props, and the 3D was great too! Too bad it was only one showing. They need to make more movies like this. There was no speaking in the movie, but it didn't need it! It told a weird yet somewhat emotional story. Everyone of all ages would really enjoy it!

    It Was Great

    by pookat

I've seen 2 live shows and they were expensive. If you want to save some money then go see this in 3D. It was very, very enjoyable. I went last night with my husband and a friend of ours and we all loved it

    more theatrical than amazing

    by ksc_jnc

I saw a cirque show recently so I couldn't wait to take my kids. Although a few parts were neat, it was like a combination of several shows and was much more gothic and theatrical than it was amazing. disappointed..

    Cirque 3D

Beautiful filming. Could have done without weak love story line. Good tool for Cirque to market their live performances which we have seen twice and enjoyed very much. Good film for any age as is live experience.

Brings a taste of Las Vegas to your home town

    by eskd

While the storyline used to weave the various Cirque du Soleil shows together in "Worlds Away" is weak, this movie provides a great way to sample many of the Las Vegas shows in the comfort of your home town. If you've never been to Las Vegas and seen any of the shows live, this movie should convince you that you need to go. If you have seen any of these shows, this movie will remind you of how much you want to go back.
