A must see for any Cirque fan

    by

We took our whole family to see this movie, even though our kids had never seen any type of Cirque show. None of us were disappointed. The kids loved the acrobatics and the various scenes. My husband & I loved the fact that they were able to take a piece of every one of their shows & put them together to make a flowing & beautiful story. Well done, well done!! We'd gladly watch it again.

    No plot, nice acrobatics

Nice acts, but this is a commercial promo with separate, unrelated moments from many shows. The performers are great, but at 1 hour 30 minutes, it's impossible to hold one's attention. Go to the real, live shows, if you can.

    Worth the price

If you have never been to Vegas to see Cirque live, then definitely go to this show! I you have seen any show in Vegas then this is a great way to re-live the great time you had there. So in either case GO see this story told on the Big 3D screen. It was worth it!

    Great Advertisement for Las Vegas!

    by jmarler

This movie is great, but the 3D effects lacked any real depth! Many 3D have the images come out into the audience, but nothing like that was shown where we went, even though the commercial makes it seem that this was what should happen...

It is a compiliation of the various shows in Las Vegas by Crique and we enjoyed it, but to pay to attend an ad for their shows was not what I was hoping for. If you want to see the various shows of Cirque in Vegas, this is a taster for each of the shows. We just happened to have seem most of the spectacular shows but chose not to go to ELVIS or Beatles, etc.

Not high marks in my grade book.

Almost better than being there live!

Loved this movie, felt like I was right there enjoying those amazing athletes! 3D made it for me, would have been a waste to see it any other way!

    Disappointed

    by Atapu

    We LOVE Cirque!!!!!
We found that this was not a movie like we had originally thought but just a long commercial for all the shows in Vegas. Very disappointed!! Its much better to just see them live. My kids now ages 11-13 have seen over 12 live shows and they were disappointed. My husband and I almost fell asleep.

Cirque du Soliel: Worlds Away: Something New Under the Sun

    by sid411

An awesome adventure! Cirque du Soliel: Worlds Away is a love story with a heroine who speaks only two words and a hero who never speaks at all. It is an amazing, exotic, somewhat erotic journey into the worlds of the circus, of dance, acrobatics, gymnastics, and clowning, of the shadow sides of life, full of mystery.

This movie is outside the box at every level: 3D that is used well, not overwhelming; real people with images from anime; cultures and costumes from all over this world, and music that seems out of this world.

At one point, an aerialist inside a cube becomes a juggler spinning and tossing the same cube. This, to me, is what Worlds Away is all about - the human capacity to turn life inside out, see things in new ways, and create wonder.

Like being at Cirque all over again!

    by

I took my 12 yr old daughter and her friend to see this and they were mesmerized! I loved the visual journey - a hallmark of the Cirque shows. The only critique I would have is that you don't get a true sense of the majesty of some of the sets you get at a live show (the ship scene from "O" in particular). Regardless, I haven't seen Ka live, but was still stunned by the beauty and artistry displayed onscreen in those sets.
Great for all ages - although really little ones might get fidgety.
    Loved it!

    Beautiful experience

    by keruin

I wish we didn't have to wear 3D glasses but the effect is amazing. The gorgeous scenarios, unfathomable abilities of the players, and music were lovely to behold.

    Long, but worth it

overall it was worth it. There are asome slow parts, however if you have never seen one of thier live shows before I can see why it would seem slower than a traditional movie. We of course loved the BEatles selections(though traditionally not our type of music) but the scenes were happy, light and inspiring.

    Not what I anticipated

    by

I am a huge Cirque Du Soleil fan, so this was a bit of a treat to see it on the big screen and in 3D!! Granted, I feel like I walked into the theater with far different expectations than what I saw. Seeing this new Cirque just felt like it was a sampler of sorts more than it was it's own new piece. If you've never had the opportunity to see any of their shows live or cannot afford one of their DVD's/Bluray's, then I most definitely suggest you go see it! All of the acts were impressive none the less. Just not what I anticipated.

Cirque du Soleil in 3D - very good movie

Although nothing on a screen can compare to seeing the shows live, especially in Las Vegas, this movie does a very good job of nearly recreating the experience of the live shows, particularly since it's in 3D. If you can't get to Las Vegas to see KA, Mystiere, LOVE, or "O", this is a pretty good approximation.
