    Most expensive commercial

I was very disappointed in the movie. I was expecting a completely new set of acts but it is just several acts from their Vegas shows loosely woven together in a story. Honestly, it just comes across as a 1-1/2 hour commercial for their Vegas shows. You can tell they have taken stock footage of their shows and just added the male and female character. Cirque stick to making your wonderful shows and stay out of the movie making business.

That being said, the movie did open my eyes to their Elvis and Beatles shows which I would not have considered attending before I saw parts of them in this movie. Of course, the Elvis show has closed anyway.

    Cirque du Soleil 3D

We have been fans for many years of Cirque du Soleil and have seen several live shows. This was a different way to see it but we enjoyed it.

    Not the same as Live

If you are a serious Cirque Du Soleil fan I would skip this movie, the performances are just not the same as when seen live . It is a blending of many of their popular shows. Yet I think the main story is bland. It is supposed to be a love story but the main characters and their costumes don't exude passion or much chemistry.

If you can't get to or afford to go to the real shows then this is the next best thing and is generally enjoyable to watch.

    Wonderful, but had its moments

We had already seen a live version of Cirque De Soleil and that was eye riveting. The movie was wonderful and I was very impressed! My over all experience went well except for when we got there. We bought our tickets online through Fandango so we would not have to stand in line. As it turned out we had to stand in line for 20 minutes and the line for the box office, at any given moment, was no more than 5 people. It was my opinion that the theater was not prepared for the people who had online tickets. When we arrived at the theater, there was a sign above each door telling you which door you should go through if you had online tickets and a door that specified box office. Apparently both doors were for online tickets and the box office was clear to the left. Some other customers and myself were left wondering why we even bothered to buy the tickets online. Although that was a minor irritant, the movie was great and we enjoyed it very much!

    Cirgue

Importantly - The showing was cancelled for the theatre I purchased tickets. Purchased tickets 3 weeks in advance. Did Fandango contact me? NOOOOOOOOO. I was treating my two elderly parents as a Christmas gift.

Do you know what it takes to move to seniors out the door in time for a show?!

Did Fandango contact me prior to showtime or give me a refund? NOOOOOOOOO!

Never purchase tickets in advance from F ed up dango again. Even the manager of the theatre said they were not up to par.

Rebooked with Arclight! No more f ed up dango for me!

Show was very nice. Enjoyed to slo mo.

    Cirque du Soleil 3D

    by aconn40

This was fantastic, amazing, well worth it; my husband and I loved it! We've seen the Cirque performed live, and it is of course also pretty spectacular. Not only the set, decor, but the athleticism of the performers is mind-blowing! The costumes are always wonderful, unique and remarkable, love them.
This 3D version was really, really well done. We loved the part with the water splashing, especially with 3D; very good special effects.
Personally, I don't think the Cirque du Soleil is for children. I've seen the kids, and they seem to be a bit scared. It is not a Cirque with clowns and balloons like one might think; it is a for grown ups!
    It is just marvelous!!!

    WOW!

    by DVDnut

What a great way to see the best parts of many Cirque shows from the comfort of a theater near you. Loved the camera angles and the 3D effects. Makes me want to hop to Vegas right now to see a live show. But this is the next best thing.

    GREAT EXPERIENCE

I feel this was great experience. Some best pieces of some of Cirque's bet shows. I just wish there had been more. I also felt it was unfinished. The was a bit inconclusive I loved slow motion and different angles then one can ever see at the live show. And love the live showshad beem more. I also felt tt was unfinished. The was a bit iinconusive

    Overall, great movie.

I liked the story, and the visuals were amazing. seemed a little longer than it could have been, but I loved the parts with the Beatles songs

Almost better than being there live!

Loved this movie, felt like I was right there enjoying those amazing athletes! 3D made it for me, would have been a waste to see it any other way!

Brings a taste of Las Vegas to your home town

    by eskd

While the storyline used to weave the various Cirque du Soleil shows together in "Worlds Away" is weak, this movie provides a great way to sample many of the Las Vegas shows in the comfort of your home town. If you've never been to Las Vegas and seen any of the shows live, this movie should convince you that you need to go. If you have seen any of these shows, this movie will remind you of how much you want to go back.

    Must See

    by qasamm

Superb use of 3D. Amazing combination of existing Cirque shows. A must see for those who have seen these shows and those who have not. Theater was bathed in silence from start to finish.

Cirque du Soleil's Worlds Away 3D Technically Outstanding

Wonderful movie and I encourage moviegoers to see it. Having been to five Cirque du Soleil live performances, this was really, really good but not as spectacular as the live performance. That being said, this is worth seeing. The cameras caught angles a live audience would never see, like from above the performers. The storyline is wonderful and the performers are simply the best in the world. I urge everyone to see this movie.

    Cirque du Soleil

    by

Amazing show...amazing strength and beauty of the human body...cinematography was simply perfection....this was better than seeing it in person...fabulous costuming and make-up...perfect musical score....the show was so incredibly amazing, i will buy this movie when it comes out on 3D dvd!

We took 3 children with us, ages 12, 7 and 4....the two older children were enthralled and loved it...the younger was antsy and seemed bored....

    This is AWESOME!!!! GO!!!

This is SO beyond "so-so"..I've been to Cirque several times. Not having the multi -hundreds of dollars it costs to sit front row I have sat in the "cheap seats"($100). If you want to be able to see the real artistry with a" front row seat you are there" feel go to this. I enjoyed it better than the real thing. It was the best of any number of shows from Vegas. For aerialists making catches on equipment or with each other you get close-ups sometimes in slo-mo so that you can see the danger and beauty of it. You get underwater shots that you can't see live. The 3D doespn't jump out at youI It gives the sets the depth and feel of being there. You want to applaud after each scene. For $10 (bargain matinee) I didn't have to fight traffic, pay for parking or use binoculars to see anything up close. I will go back and see it again. This is a great way to see Crique if you never have. None of the stunts these artisits do is easy. Appreciate how much training it takes. GO!!
