It was an awe-inspiring all access pass

    by

The show was spectacular. The 3D and cinematography put you right up close in a way you would never be able to see live.

    Absolutely fantastic!

    Great show!!

    by

Contained elements of all the Cirque du Soleil shows in the Las Vegas casinos, but at a much better price. Also, you were closer to the action than if you were in the audience at a live casino performance, due to the great photography. Highly recommend it - maybe for older children though.

A must see for any Cirque fan

    by

We took our whole family to see this movie, even though our kids had never seen any type of Cirque show. None of us were disappointed. The kids loved the acrobatics and the various scenes. My husband & I loved the fact that they were able to take a piece of every one of their shows & put them together to make a flowing & beautiful story. Well done, well done!! We'd gladly watch it again.

    Disappointed

    by Atapu

    We LOVE Cirque!!!!!
We found that this was not a movie like we had originally thought but just a long commercial for all the shows in Vegas. Very disappointed!! Its much better to just see them live. My kids now ages 11-13 have seen over 12 live shows and they were disappointed. My husband and I almost fell asleep.

Cirque Du Soleil - Worlds Away

When I learned it was a love story I was a little bit worried but t ended up being AMAZING! It makes you really want to go see a Cirque Du Soleil show! Amazing costumes and props, and the 3D was great too! Too bad it was only one showing. They need to make more movies like this. There was no speaking in the movie, but it didn't need it! It told a weird yet somewhat emotional story. Everyone of all ages would really enjoy it!

    Disappointing

When the movie started, it had a kind of Alice in Wonderland quality to. A young girl attending the circus falls for an aerialist at first sight, but when their eyes meet he misses a swing and begins to fall to the ground. But rather than a deadly impact, the ground turns to quicksand, sucking him and, and the girl chases after. The premise seems spectacular until you get to the meat of the story. While the scenes that were filmed specifically of the girl on her search for the aerialist are quite good and interesting, the film is roughly stitched together with scenes from other Cirque du Soleil performances that have absolute zero connection to the storyline. Chunks at a time you are introduced to long, drawn out scenes with no context and no appearance of the main characters. It's just filler. Beautiful filler, of course, but the fact that it's such a jarring transition from the narrative, it really takes away from the skill of the performers and the movie just falls apart.

    CIRQUE Du SOLEIL

I was disappointed in this film. I have seen Cirque du Soleil live. It is a fantastic event. The costumes are wonderful and the abilities of the performers is beyond belief. This film is basically a filming of one of their shows. The reason I can only give it a so/so reviews is that the excitement and the WOW factor of seeing it live was missing. In fact I found it to be slow in parts. I love Cirque du Soleil and will see them again when they come back this year. This film does not do them justice. I think they must be seen in person to be amazed beyond your wildest dreams.

    Fabulous

    by Orli W

Loved it! Especially in 3D. I"m a huge Cirque junkie and have been to so many different shows locally and in Vegas. This movie combines the best of all of them, only you feel like you are really there since it's on a big screen.

If you are a huge Cirque fan or want to know what the real Cirque is all about, this is the show to see. You will get a really good feel at a fraction the cost of the real show.

Loved it and will probably go back.

By the way, my new favorite movie theatre is the Roosevelt Complex. Fabulous. Really comfortable seats, 20 theatres and sign up for the Icon Extras program for free. You can get movies after they have been our a couple weeks for $6 each. Bargain.

Removes all the magic of a Cirque Show

While the performers are outstanding, the moment you sit back and begin to enjoy the performances they cut away to a different angle or different element of the stage show. The camera is in strange places which does nothing to help capture the magic of the Cirque experience. Save your money and go to a live show and skip this expensively shot but inadequate infomercial.

Beautiful and inspiring to viewers fo all ages

    by

I really enjoyed the movie. I have been to a few Cirque do Soleil shows and this is certainly no substitute for the real thing. However, for those who may not have the opportunity to experience that, it is a lovely experience.
I went with two adult friends and the audience was full of children. Not only were my friends inspired and awed by the aesthetics, the children in the audience were utterly entranced throughout the movie. There were a couple of little voices asked questions midst it, but for the most part they were totally absorbed. It was beautiful to watch them at the end of the movie as several broke into feats of gymnastics or their own dance routines inspired by the music of the closing credits.
All in all, if you're looking to spend an hour and a half of just pleasure and beauty, I strongly recommend this movie.

Not a blow out but pretty damn good

The 3D effects weren't for the most part offensive and did add to the experience in a number of scenes. It was for the most part a mash up of KA, O and Love. I am a tremendous fan of Cirque and enjoyed the movie but a tad disappointed...

    It Was Great

    by pookat

I've seen 2 live shows and they were expensive. If you want to save some money then go see this in 3D. It was very, very enjoyable. I went last night with my husband and a friend of ours and we all loved it

Cirque du Soleil weird but beautiful

    by Goofyq

Fantastic and amazing performances by all. Pieces from four or five shows are loosely woven into a sort of stressed storyline. Performers on a vertical wall, on a steeply slanted wall, sycn swimming in a big pool and a giant bowl, in the air on spinning drums and in & on an airship, and lots more. Great costumes. Great music. Great 3d presentation. Plus keepsake 3D glasses.

    Worlds Away

This movie was fantastic. It was great to see the costumes and performances up close and at different angles and even in slow motion. It made me appreciate the live shows I have seen even more. This movie is a must see for all die-hard Cirque fans!

    Not what I anticipated

    by

I am a huge Cirque Du Soleil fan, so this was a bit of a treat to see it on the big screen and in 3D!! Granted, I feel like I walked into the theater with far different expectations than what I saw. Seeing this new Cirque just felt like it was a sampler of sorts more than it was it's own new piece. If you've never had the opportunity to see any of their shows live or cannot afford one of their DVD's/Bluray's, then I most definitely suggest you go see it! All of the acts were impressive none the less. Just not what I anticipated.
