A very good show to watch. ^^

    by

to paraphrase someone else's comment on this movie... that was the cheapest trip to Las Vega ever! The aerialists, aquanauts, gymnasts, contortionists, wall walkers, bouncers, and more were amazing.

I'll give this a 4 out of 5 rating... BUT only because I did not see it in person. The theatre audience was so subdued and their attention focused on the screen. Such a big difference in comparison to a live stage audience where you get the "oooooohhhh" and "aaaaahhhhhh" and the applause.

My one disappointment was with some of the camera angles on a few sequences. Saw too many of the wires. It was ok, but those particular views were not really necessary for the experience

Cameron-quality 3D at the service of Cirque du Soleil magic

    by ppeyret

Extraordinary 90mns of the most acrobatic and visually stunning numbers by the Cirque du Soleil in multiple Vegas venues. All filmed at creative angles and close ups by James Cameron's team of 3D wizards.

Perfect also for non-English speakers, if you have family visiting from abroad during the holiday.

It was an EXPERIENCE not a movie

This little advertised 3D show, CirqueDu Soleil, was an experience for the senses. It was so full of action that I had to remind myself to relax my muscles and try not to "help" the performers from my seat. Our tummies felt a little motion trouble at times because the 3D action made us feel like we were swinging along with the acrobats! I really enjoyed every minute of this film. I hope they make it available in theaters again so we can share it with our family and friends who missed it!

Cirque du Soleil: Worlds Away 3D

Saw it yesterday with a friend. It was wonderful. You don't have to be a Cirque fan like I am to love this absolutely beautifully filmed extravaganza. I actually want to see it again.

I have family in Las Vegas and since seeing Worlds Away, I know I want to see the Beatles Cirque show next time I visit. Whenever they bring a traveling show to Chicago I try to go. James Cameron did an amazing job and gave us all a beautiful Christmas present. I plan on seeing it again.

I would rate this movie acceptable for all. The time goes by so fast you are surprised when it is over. You want more.

3D certainly has changed. The last 3D movie I saw was years ago and I think it was the first, House of Wax. The techniques used in the filming bring right into the world of Cirque du Soleil. You feel like you are roaming along with the principals.

Go see it! You will love it!

    Don't Believe The Hype

Colors and costumes, not as vivid as advertised. Many scenes filmed as if you were sitting in the "cheap seats", so you lacked that "front row" and/or "up close" experience... even in 3D! My fam & I have seen live performances and thought the theatrics were good in the movie, but the visual was a little janky.

    Amazing Stunts!!!!

My Christmas present from my parents and boyfriend was taking me to see this movie, as they know that I have always wanted to see anything that has to do with Cirque Du Soleil. The 3D was overwhelmingly beautiful. Seeing this in theaters just makes me want to see a LIVE show in person SO much more!! I love the dramatic side as well as the humorous side. They balance each other out better than any feature film I've ever seen. It's great for people of any age, which not many movies these days offer that. I will definitely be waiting at the movie store to buy this on DVD!

    Crrque du Soleil Worlds Away

Absolutely spectacular. A visual masterpiece and a joy to listen to. Being able to see the performers up close and watch their facial expressions is something you never get at an actual Cirque performance. Loved every minute.

    Beautiful Film

Visually, musically, and acrobatically stunning. You've already read that it's a flimsy storyline, but that's not why you should see anything by Cirque. You should see it to be overwhelmed by the artistic magnificence.

Beautiful and inspiring to viewers fo all ages

    by

I really enjoyed the movie. I have been to a few Cirque do Soleil shows and this is certainly no substitute for the real thing. However, for those who may not have the opportunity to experience that, it is a lovely experience.
I went with two adult friends and the audience was full of children. Not only were my friends inspired and awed by the aesthetics, the children in the audience were utterly entranced throughout the movie. There were a couple of little voices asked questions midst it, but for the most part they were totally absorbed. It was beautiful to watch them at the end of the movie as several broke into feats of gymnastics or their own dance routines inspired by the music of the closing credits.
All in all, if you're looking to spend an hour and a half of just pleasure and beauty, I strongly recommend this movie.

Go See Cirque in Person Instead

    by

Terrible filming of incredible circus acts. I thought James Cameron would do a better job but it's very choppy with edits every 4 seconds or so. Don't waste your money on the movie but go spend it on an actual Cirque du Soleil show. This movie is like one long advertisement for the various shows that are in Vegas. It's very unsatisfying because he hardly ever shows you the entire act from the audience perspective. There's nothing worse than watching close-ups when you want to stand back and see what's going on. It's like focusing on a dancer's face when they are doing an amazing move. Cameron wastes a lot of film on the background and people walking meaningfully around in a mystical fantasy world.

It was an awe-inspiring all access pass

    by

The show was spectacular. The 3D and cinematography put you right up close in a way you would never be able to see live.

    Absolutely fantastic!

    No plot, nice acrobatics

Nice acts, but this is a commercial promo with separate, unrelated moments from many shows. The performers are great, but at 1 hour 30 minutes, it's impossible to hold one's attention. Go to the real, live shows, if you can.

    A complete waste of $12

    by Bups

This movie was a complete waste of money. The best part of the entire time I spent in the theater was the previews. Save your money and see something else.
