    Intelligence Movie

    This movie is not an action movie. I think most individuals went into it thinking that it was. If you have an interest in a theoretical approach to the Intel gathering process leading up capturing Bin Laden then this movie should interest you. However I was sitting in front of a group of Marines who were more than disappointed with the slow nature of this movie. I thought it was a realistic depiction of the mechanics of hunting terrorists. It's not a Hollywood shoot up movie with big explosions and shootouts that last 30 minutes. Essentially this movie is attempting to capitalize on American's curiosity as to how their government operates in the war on terror.

    Kudos to the women in the real world of the CIA

    Although the movie starts off slowly due to the information they are trying to establish as background data, I found the movie quite interesting. I feel that it is shows the true character of many of the CIA people responsible for capturing OBL. I was amazed at the role many women played in actually having fortitude toward capturing him. I also feel that you got a feel for what those countries are like: the people, the overcrowding, the poverty and their beliefs. I was amazed at how many covert workers were actually helping find OBL. A big thank you to our Navy Seals! What a job they did, risking their lives for our freedom.

    Zero Dark Thirty

    When a movie ends and nobody in the theater makes a move to get up and leave, you know it was deeply moving. What the Navy Seals did was truly amazing and all the work the CIA did leading up to it was unbelievable. It makes me angry that our credit-grabbing President has tried to take credit for this massive accomlishment, which was actually carried out by actions of which Obama knew nothing.

    Here's to the real heros....God bless them all.

    Zero Dark Thirty

    I watched it one night until 2 AM and was absolutely glued the TV. So the next day I watched it again (within my 24 hours rental) and saw even more! Definately a MUST GO!

    Didn't affect me

    The movie was very realistic and tried to stick closely to the story. Great casting and special effects. However, this movie didn't make me feel any emotion at all. It wasn't boring and kept me on edge, but mostly from my expecting a climax and ending resolution. There was none and it left me disappointed. I feel like they could have ended it better than they did. It all built up to when they assassinate Bin Laden but they acted like the actual act was just another day on the job. I don't think they showed enough of the importance of this event and did it justice.

    A good story that exposes a lot about us (U.S.)

    A very good movie, not great, but very good. It's good to see that the investment this country has made in weapons, technology, communications, military deployments, overt & covert operations, actually paid. The United States was portrayed in a (probably) realistic light. We are willing to resort to terror tactics and the bumbling, wasteful use of our resources in the political processes we use in these foreign "interventions". I was surprised that Jessica Chastain won the Golden Globe for Best Actress, but this was probably due more to her lack of competition in that category, than to her performance. She was good but not award winning. For all the length of this movie building the case, it actually was difficult to follow who was who. Editing and some better script writing could improve the logic of the story. It was not gritty or overtly violent, which it could have been. I appreciated that restraint. It was a good story. That's what made it a good movie. Worth seeing.

    Really good movie, the best of the year?, probably not.. But it's a good casting, Jessica Chastain is excellent.. good timing, and the scene at osama's house, is wonderful!

    Everything in time

    Surprising to see how the big wigs do deals. This movie does a good job at portraying how important actual intelligence is as well as how painstaking long it takes to get. Some many leads, detainees dead roads. I dont know how many lives have been affected by this mas Osama, or his radical vision that he stood for. We still have a nation that is healing emotionally from all the lives lost, not to mention financially from this war. Because this war has drag on for so long, it would be naive to call it a war. It was nothing more than a hunt for a man more unpredictable than dice itself. Actors did a great job at displaying how stressful of a "job" this hunt had on them as well as how real people act in real world situations. This goes to show how powerful a single belief can be

    Zero Dark Thirty

    I enjoyed this movie tremendously. I know it is not accurate, but never the less a movie you should see. Very suspenseful and reveals how difficult a manhunt can be, Know we have the most amazing soldiers in the world. They are the bravest, strongest, best trained men and women in the world. I know. I have been in fire fights and have witnessed first-hand how we are. And how yellow outside countries are that we have been in battle with.

    Academy awards, I don?t think so, but a well-played move. Go.

    9/11 Sorrow

    This is a movie that I would recommend to anyone who has an interest in how "we finally got him."

    Some people might find the movie's length tedious (I didn't), but the process of getting Osama bin Laden (sp?) was tedious itself. The film is a huge "well done" to Maya, the young lady who spent her entire career (about 16 years at the time) trying to track his whereabouts, and finally did, but without much help from her superiors.

    In a three words, a great movie!.

    Zero Dark Thirty

    This movie was really well done. The tone is very serious and there is suspense, action and drama. The movie is pretty long but it stays interesting the whole time. It seems like a very real depiction of the actual events.

    Zero Dark Thirty

    I went with my two adult sons and my husband to see the movie. I thought at the time I was being a good sport to see a movie that they wanted to see......not that I thought I would even enjoy it. But I was surprised to find out that I enjoyed watching the movie just as much as they did !! I would give it a 8 out of 10.

    zero dark thirty

    Great story although definitely not from an entertainment standpoint. This is more of a documentary and as such was done very well. Assuming of course you believe everything portrayed as fact. It is worth seeing however just for Jessica C's performance.

    Amazing portrayal of a incredible story-Kathryn Bigelow Rocks!

    Thank you Kathryn Bigelow for telling this story, giving an honest portrayal of the difficulties our intelligence people must work through on several fronts: with the enemy (terrorists) our supposed "Allies" (Pakistan) and the bureaucracy of our own agencies and govenment.

    Initially I wasn't going to see this film, having heard that Bigelow's team was given access and inside info that if broadcast, could endanger our troops, especially if the access was intended to promote Obama and his lackeys. But when she got blackballed by the Hollywood elite for telling the real story, (including showing the torture that is necessary to get usable intel) and then letting the viewer decide, I went.

    The added fact that this woman director can make the most gritty, believable, non-gratuitous war movies (including the Hurt Locker) only raises her stock in my book. SEE IT.
