    Way Cool

This movie was amazing. It's long so be prepared and some parts are slow, but the content is spot on. It helped me understand the things that went on behind the scenes to find Bin Laden and why it took so long. Good acting, surprises all along the way. I'd see it again. I would recommend you go for a matinee though.

    A Pleasant Surprise

Usually a movie preceded by so much hype and news mentions does not live up to expectations. This movie is an exception. It will keep you at rapt attention from start to finish.

    Terrible movie

Seriously, do not waste your time. If you're really pressed to see it, see something else and wait for this to hit the rental shelves. Nearly walked out it was so boring, the only thing keeping me in my seat was a.) my buddies and b.) waiting for the action to begin.

    Great!

I was not really looking forward to a 2.5 hour movie, but it went by really quickly. The last thirty minutes were the most intense. Really well done movie.

Real World Action Drama at it's Best

If you think this is an action-packed movie you are wrong...and you are right! This is an excellent movie that makes you feel you were in the day-to-day operations of the CIA that eventually led to the killing of Osama Binladen. It is a suspense thriller well documented with the truth of WHO was responsible for capturing Osama Binladen. That's right, I said WHO because the CIA agent persisted and fought through red tape to the end. Every American should see this movie!

Great if taken on its own terms

As others have written, the film is not perfect. Some aspects seemed unbelievable. It was not clear which parts were 100% factually accurate, and there was little exploration of cultural/moral or other themes or dilemmas. However, the aim of this movie was to tell a particular story and it is fairly realistic. I am not sure it is a fair critique to say they should have made a different movie. Themes such as how individuals with deep expertise get their views through organizations with multiple and often politicized objectives rang true to me. The depiction of the tremendous difficulties involved in just getting and following a specific lead and the dangers that individuals faced in doing so were fascinating. Of course there is more to the story and there are useful debates to be had about torture, revenge, etc., but most of the public criticisms are motivated by ideology and politics. Taken on its own terms, the movie is great. The final raid sequence was fantastic.

Hard As Nails Depiction Of True American Justice Dispensed Long Overdue.

This is a dramatic reenactment of the end of the life of a genuine monster who wore the guise of humanity; one evil and despicable beyond any just description and whose wildly sadistic and deviant superstitions used God as rationale with zeal to mass murder. This film has but one minor fault as I see it. Simply put, it doesn't take enough moments in pause to gratefully reflect on all the victims, civilian and combatant, who gave the last great measure of their time here on earth, in service or innocence. at the hands of this vile creature and his minion. This isn't really a fault of this film maker though, for she genuinely does dutiful honor to all the people who relentlessly pursued this despicable creature and continue to do so where Its followers are concerned to this day. More importantly, she does the truth proud here. Bravo Ms. Bigelow! Well done madam! See her film folks. She's earned our respect...and be entertained in the ugly thing's demise. Send a message to his kind.

    Just an amazing movie

This is a very exciting, very suspenceful movie and will keep you on the edge of your seat and even make you jump off your seat a few times. The movie covered September 11th and you get to live through all the attacks al over the world and watch as we try to find and hunt down our number 1 enemy of the state.

You have to see this movie!!!!

There is a lot of violence so it might not be for the kids. This was a very violent time in our history and this movie covers it very well.

Very Well Done but a Too Long

    by efgum43

The acting and cinematography are first rate. Its a bit long and we could have done without the torture scenes at the beginning. But it overall it is a great production. Its "R" rating is richly deserved.

My only question is the timing of its release. Whereas Argo was based on declassified documents and happened a long time ago, this film is based on very recent events. I wonder about the wisdom of releasing a film that depicts people still in the public eye that sanctioned an operation that, while resulting in the elimination of a bad guy, also resulted in additional and perhaps unnecessary "collateral damage."

    Great movie, accurate

This is a movie you must see to understand a little of what our finest military has to deal with. It's not over in the Middle East and never will be. Killing USB created a big void but there is always another radical waiting to step up. This also shows how Pakistan will play along to a point. The actors were really good in their portrayal of the individuals involved. I really like this movie. It's action packed and really makes you think or it should. Creators of this movie did a great job! Great movie! Go see!

    zero dark thirty

Overlong and despite the triumph it rightly celebrates of killing OBL not Oscar worthy.. Not the best casting for most parts.
For the record on 7/7 in London the bombers went down onto the underground trains and exploded bombs on trains full of people in tunnels, the escapee ran into the streets to avoid capture by police and boarded the bus whilst escaping before detonating his device on the upper deck.

    Accurate for the most part!

As someone who served in military intelligence, for the most part this movie was very accurate regarding how military intelligence works! Of course it wasn't 100% accurate, but still was very impressive. If you don't want to rely on political bs on who actually deserves credit for bin Laden, go see this movie. It is not political at all!

Great movie! It was really cool to see just how many major news stories were tied to UBL and the CIA looking for him. I would see it again.

    Zero Dark Thirty

    by brombs

This was a great movie detailing how one person's drive to find Osama Bin Laden was successful in finding our nations greatest threat in the 21st century. Action packed from the beginning.

    Good but not great

    by

The movie mixes fact with fiction which is understandable given the fact that this is not a documentary. However, the movie at times takes too long to move along the plot. I personally thought the runtime was about a 1/2 longer than it needed to be
