    Gripping Movie

This movie was fantastic! It was worth going to see, but don't arrive late. You have to hear the beginning to really understand why things happen. Not for little kids.

    Must See

A great movie with a great cast. True story telling...this film does a great job of bringing back in time and showing what the intelligence community did for this country over a decade long stretch while hunting down UBL and then covers the raid that killed him and not in the flashy, hollywood over-budgeted usual way but in simplistic and compelling style. Enjoyable and entertaining as well as enlightening.

    "Zero Dark Thirty"

A very good production with excellent character development and following historic accuracy. Althought by now the "plot" and outcome are well-known, the movie kept viewers in suspense. It wasn't as action-packed as I thought it would be until the actual scenes of the raid itself and to that extent was a bit slow, but perhaps that was necessary to give viewers a better sense of the complexities that had to be dealt with in order to bring about a successful mission. Definitely worth taking the time to see it.

    Zero Dark Thirty

ZD30 moves along at a pace that keeps you spell bound. The 'torture' scenes are realistic and not overdone. The actual raid was done very well, very realistic. My only diappointment was that it was so focussed on one sided story line. I feel it would have been more interestiing if they could have shown just a little of the events on the world of Bin Laden. Not a lot of spectulation , but some actual idea of what his final days were like.

Zero? Yes Dark? Yes Thirty? Huh???

I didn't know or had forgotten that one of the helicopters crash-landed and had to be blown up -- that's planning. Did everybody then hop on the other helicopter? But the breathtaking thoroughness and swiftness of the well-trained team was brilliantly executed. And Jessica Chastain is totally brilliant -- her two great lines: "Nothing" (to James Gandolfini on what she's done in her 12 years in the CIA besides chase UBL) and "I'm the MF who found the house." But this is not a new kind of movie as Bigelow asserts. And the torture scenes -- if that's NOT how the info was gotten, why do we have to dwell there? I'll take "Argo" for my military movie this year. And see "Beasts of the Southern Wild" if you want to see what is truly a new kind of film.

    Mesmerizing

    by mfsheff

Great film. It is mesmerizing to watch the tedious process of "connecting the dots" in the search for Bin Laden. Well done and I didn't sense any political sway one way or the other. The last 30-40 min of the film are edge of your seat despite knowing the outcome. I highly recommend this movie.

    Way Cool

This movie was amazing. It's long so be prepared and some parts are slow, but the content is spot on. It helped me understand the things that went on behind the scenes to find Bin Laden and why it took so long. Good acting, surprises all along the way. I'd see it again. I would recommend you go for a matinee though.

You have to see this movie!

    by

I thought this movie was great. It wasn't boring at all. It's not a hollywood action movie. It's the story about the hunt for bin Laden. So don't go in expecting to see Die Hard. I really loved it.

    Adrenaline rush like no other!

Sure, I expected it to be exciting- but this was the most adrenaline-producing, fantastic story I've seen, ever. I wasn't as fond of the beginning, particularly the torture, but it was a necessart component of this true story. When the final hour took place, there wasn't a sound to be heard in the theater because everyone was so in the moment. Amazing!! It took all of us a long time to come down from the excitement! Must, must, must, MUST go!!!!

    Great film!

Really interesting movie. I always wondered what took so long to capture Bin Laden, and this movie made it pretty much clear why. Really worth the while to see it! The woman who played Maya did a really good job, too.

    Didn't affect me

The movie was very realistic and tried to stick closely to the story. Great casting and special effects. However, this movie didn't make me feel any emotion at all. It wasn't boring and kept me on edge, but mostly from my expecting a climax and ending resolution. There was none and it left me disappointed. I feel like they could have ended it better than they did. It all built up to when they assassinate Bin Laden but they acted like the actual act was just another day on the job. I don't think they showed enough of the importance of this event and did it justice.

Real World Action Drama at it's Best

If you think this is an action-packed movie you are wrong...and you are right! This is an excellent movie that makes you feel you were in the day-to-day operations of the CIA that eventually led to the killing of Osama Binladen. It is a suspense thriller well documented with the truth of WHO was responsible for capturing Osama Binladen. That's right, I said WHO because the CIA agent persisted and fought through red tape to the end. Every American should see this movie!

    Zero Dark Thirty

    by rmbion

I enjoyed the film, though, as usual in theaters, I had difficulty understanding the dialog. The special effects and sets were magnificent and realistic, and the story moved along quickly.

The initial interrogation scenes "impressed" me, as how these issues are treated nowadays has changed 180 degrees since I was a boy. Growing up post WWII it was common cultural truth that Americans didn't do bad things to anybody; even the bad guys were treated kindly. Now, reality has displaced that fond illusion. We're in the pit fighting for survival using any resource at hand, just like everybody else.

I found myself strangely dispassionate about such cruel treatment; perhaps this is an indication of emotional overload in a culture where it seems just about any movie is about aberration and violence of some kind, magnified by colossal special effects. Have I lost my compassion? Maybe I'm just tired of the stuff. Maybe the novelty has worn off.

    Interesting Look into CIA

Zero Dark Thirty is an entertaining and insightful movie about the CIA operative who was obsessed with finding Bin Laden. Some of the torture scenes could be disturbing for some, but I liked the realistic tone with which it was portrayed. Probably the least political "government movie" I've seen. Worth your time.
