    Zero Dark Thirty

Great Movie! Very well done even though it's the Hollywood version of what really happened. I'm a retired U.S. Navy SEAL and thought the movie was very believable in terms of the workings of the intelligence and special operations community. What made the movie very realistic was the use of technical advisors who knew what they were talking about. I found very few "technical" flaws that I would normally see in a movie like this. Great movie!

    Zero Dark Thirty

I liked it and thought they did a very good job of the movie. I would recommend it very much.
The directing and acting was good. It is not for kids.

movie was very technical for most of the time but not boring.Jessica Chastain and Jason Clark were great in their roles and the seals were excellent. It was amazing to see what the agents do to keep us all safe, very much worth seeing.

Zero Dark Thirty -- Good Flick

We have been hearing so much about this movie, and it lived up to its billing. Good overall plotline, good character acting, and good suspense as they build to the ending (which you know already but nonetheless are anticipating as you follow along). And we did not find the detainee scenes to be too graphic (we had heard those were bad, but they were not). All in all a good flick.

Good drama but a great portrayal of a single-minded focus' affect on an individual

    by tcox37

I walked into the movie without high expectation. We know the story, we've heard the accounts, we've lived through the events, so I was expected to kill a few hours watching an "ok" movie.

I was presently suprised that the movie could hold my attention. The story line and action was better than I expected, but what really made the movie for me was the final scene. The power of the movie is in the psychology of the character Maya. Recruited right out of highschool by the CIA and her first job ends up being a 10 year personal crusade, a single-minded goal of finding UBL. The change in the character and the reaction at the end of it all is the power of this movie.

As with any movie about soldiers in action, the language is strong, and the images are graphic, but that is reality.

felt like a longer caper. But was fascinating and a bit illuminating....

Zero Dark Thirty was more on the lengthy end. They try to compress over ten years into this movie so not bad if you consider. I felt it shed some light, assuming some of it was accurate, in the search for Bin Laden. Definitely can challenge you with certain subject matter such as torture but that was not the focus. Told through the eyes of a key investigator involved with the hunt almost from the beginning. Movie kept me interesting through and through and then the big pay off when they get Bin Laden in the end. Worth watching.

Greatest movie for the late and earliest of the 2013 season.

Enjoyed this movie from the beginning to the end. Good story lines and some true facts mixed very well. Great to have in your movie library to watch over and over again; as well as to share with your family, friends as well as guest at your home.

    Zero is right

Katheryn's portrayal of the events surrounding the elimination of UBL seemed to be very realistic, especially the part the middle management played in giving the go ahead. If what I saw was accurate, we almost didn't go after him at that time, like I'm sure we didn't many times before. If it wasn't for the courage of the character Maya to hunt him down we might still be turning over caves in Afghanistan! Actually, I wondered if we really wanted to find him in the first place since all the money spent looking never returned anything of value, and that came through in the movie too. For those of us that have been following the continuing saga of Al Qaeda vs the US, it is a story of triumph that I'd highly recommend.

It is fine, no 4 or 5 star movie.

    by

It had a strong narrative unlike the other movie that came out on the same topic. But it was just ok, nothing to rave about. Can certainly wait for it to come out on Netflix, it'll be soon enough.

Somehow these Bin Laden movies get high marks, must be based on strong American patriotism, but judging it as a movie rather than a political agenda, it was not that amazing.

Jessica Chastain is a Force of Nature

Great movie with powerful acting from all members of the cast. We know the story but this is an in-depth look at the real story behind the story. Deserving of any/all awards that it receives. Jessica Chastain is also worthy of all accolades that she receives!

    Zero Dark Thirty

I enjoyed this movie tremendously. I know it is not accurate, but never the less a movie you should see. Very suspenseful and reveals how difficult a manhunt can be, Know we have the most amazing soldiers in the world. They are the bravest, strongest, best trained men and women in the world. I know. I have been in fire fights and have witnessed first-hand how we are. And how yellow outside countries are that we have been in battle with.

Academy awards, I don?t think so, but a well-played move. Go.

    Zero Dark Thirty

Over all, it was a good movie. It spent a lot of time explaining the lengthy intelligence gathering process that the CIA had to go through to actually find the target location where Bin Laden was hiding. It didn't really show much about what Seal Team 6 had to do to prepare to actually attack the building as far as live fire rehearsals go. I'm glad I watched the TV movie "Seal Team 6 The Hunt for Osama Bin Laden"( which describes the incident from the Seal Team's perspective) and put the two movies together to get the full effect of the incident. Definitely a good flick. Must Go!

    Amazing Film

This move completely deserves the Best Picture nomination it received. It was really moving and took the audience through the emotions of the last 10 years without being political or trying to make a statement in any way. It really offers very little in the way of political commentary, but definitely gives some graphic depictions of the torture that our country led. Jessica Chastain carries the film wonderfully and the climactic scenes showing the raid on Bin Laden's compound was excellently done. I thought it was great.

    Mind = BLOWN

Extreamlly well made movie! Kathryn Biglowe did an amazing job! I loved it, not for kids younger than 16 though. A bombing is out of no where and might freak out a few people. a few intense shootings. Many bombs go off and there is a death of a supporting character. It is a long movie, like the length of The Hobbit. The characters do use ***&^, ****, *****, and *** casually. Better not let your young ones go :)!

    Terrible movie

Seriously, do not waste your time. If you're really pressed to see it, see something else and wait for this to hit the rental shelves. Nearly walked out it was so boring, the only thing keeping me in my seat was a.) my buddies and b.) waiting for the action to begin.
