Good movie...tom always delivers!

I had no idea what the movie was about just knew tom was in it and it was some sort of an action thriller. Minus an eerie opening scene that made the whole theater cringe and whisper, I thought the story was good and action scenes were great. Of course there are those scenes that leave you scratching your head like 'Really?' BUT it's a movie so you just roll with it I guess. If you like tom cruise (as an actor, lol), I think you will enjoy this movie!

Awesome Movie

I really enjoyed this movie more then I thought I would. Tom Cruise was a bad ass. Peices of it were somewhat predict but overall a fun movie with lots of action.

Rather enjoyable...

My 12-year-old son and I saw the movie, and we laughed, ooh'd, aww'd, and cringed. Mostly, though, we enjoyed the movie. Tom Cruise has created yet another successful character. Nice way to spend an evening.

Great movie!

I love it ... I didn't know Rosamund Pike is playing, that's a real pleasant surprise.

The only thing I don't like is some of the missing details. E.g.: in the last scene, Tom is soaking wet after a gun fight outside, but when he enters the trailer, he doesn't have a single drip of water??

A blast

This is a fun entertaining movie. For the movie buffs it is a little like Steve McQueen's Hunter.

This movie has one of the best car chase scenes since Ronin. Just sit back and enjoy.

Great movie!

I was skeptical about Tom Cruise playing Jack because the book describes him differently. But Tom does a great interpretation of the character. There are no slow spots so make sure you don't have to make an unexpected trip out! Hope there are more Reacher movies!

A better, encouraging among recent Cruise pieces...

.thanks to its more subtle aggression, nice cinematography... that being said Cruise still couldn't stop polishing his role a bit - but he's much-much better here than in any of his previous, laughably overblown action roles, here he's pretty much always in character. His partner, Rosamund Pike was also fine (and no, I'm not judging by her boobs which, let's not forget, were omnipresent in most of the shots.)
Story itself is nothing you couldn't guess in 15 minute but it's entertaining, I've appreciated the fact that they've avoided *most* of the stupid Hollywood crap (eg main characters didn't hook up etc), even the last fight scene, while completely uncalled for, was still kinda OK, not too much, not too fancy.
My attention was maintained (though as an avid art movie fan it's not something hard to do unless it's mindless destruction which bores me to hell after a minute), I was reasonably entertained for 2 hours - all in all it's nothing special but an OK one-night thriller flick.

Great Movie alot of action

Very good movie, not the biggest Tom Cruise fan but I really loved this film, keeps you really into it the whole time, makes you guessing also. Would go see it again.

Cruise is GREAT as Reacher

Cruise is awesome as Reacher.
Three words on a pad of paper. "Get Jack Reacher"
No one really knows who this Reacher character is or how to contact him.
Reacher, is a retired Army criminal investigator,
Reacher mysteriously appears out of nowhere, gets personally involved in the plot. solves the case, punishes the bad guys, and mysteriously disappears again.
Good plot that keeps you wondering what is coming next. Characters develop as the plot moves on. Understandably PG13. Leave the kids at home for this one. Some language, sexual innuendo, but mostly graphic violence.

Good ....not great

Overall the movie was good. I wouldn't call it the best but it was worth seeing. I thought the car chase seens were a little shotty and the fight scenes were smooth.

A really good one

I've read all of the Reacher series and I think that this movie caught the essence of Lee Child's character and certainly ran fairly true to the original novel's story line.. Action scenes incredible - too bad they had to trash that beautiful chevy! Bad guys really bad, good guys really good as Reacher metes out his particular but believable form of justice. Glad to see Child's Reacher series hitting the big screen. Cruise did an excellent job and the other actors supported him very well. Hope they can do more of the series just as well.

Walked out surprisingly satisfied

I will admit i saw this movie because at the time i had watched everything else in cinemas at the time that i was interested in. Another example of why i feel the studios and producers need to hire better people to put together movie trailers. This is just a really entertaining cut and dry anti hero cop film that does exactly what it should do. Tom Cruise played the role very will and the supporting cast was also impressive. If they were to expand on the films i would continue to watch them. If you and the guys just want to go catch a fun and explosive film this is the one i would recommend above all out there right now.

Jack Reacher is a definite go!

Jack Reacher had a great story, and maintained a high level of action and drama through out the entire film.
I enjoyed it. The casting was near perfect and the car chase was excellent.
Tom Cruise pulled it off again.

Nice surprise...

I'm not a huge fan of action, car chase, shooting movies but was surprised that I kept my eyes open for most of the movie. Tom cruise did a very respectable job! Liked the story line. :)

My Sis and i went and saw this movie. She read the book its based on and i had not read it and we both really liked it. Just by the name i wasnt planning to see it at all my sis talked me into seeing it and boy im glad she did was a good action movie enjoyed it go see it :)
