Reacher was great!

It has been a few years since Cruise has made a great movie. Although, I am not as hard on him a the Critics have been. I believe Tom Cruise is a true superstar, and his new movie delivered. The story started at the end, and worked back to the beginning. Reacher had intrigue, drama and that certain something that makes a good movie, great! It was fast paced, and never had a dull moment. I can see another Reacher movie in the future. He has a great character to work with, in the character of Jack Reacher. The character is simlar to Jason Bourne, from the Bourne franchise. Everyone likes the super trained, military guy that can get out of every tight spot. I am looking forward to the next movie. Big Time!

Don't go... save it for the RedBox.

I did enjoy the movie, but would tell any friend to wait for this one to come out on video. (This is one of those shows where you feel all the best parts were in the commercials.)

The plot for this movie had so much more potential than was produced in this movie. I don't know all the ins and outs of how films are made, but I do know that either he acting or the editing was not up to par for a blockbuster moviee.

I liked the movie very much, I was not happy with some of the lanuage, The lanuage using God's name was not called for, other words could have been used with out taking away from the moive.Other than that I think all other parts were very good

Action Packed Jack Reacher

Action adventure movies are my favorite and this first of what I think will be several Jack Reacher movies was great. Kept my interest as the character is such a good detective as well as macho character. He cares about the truth and protecting the innocent.

Tom Cruise is now the new Jack Reacher

Tom Cruise nailed the role. It had a very good story line with suspense, and action. I can really see at least three more Jack Reacher films with Tom Cruise, as long as Cruise has a good script and supporting cast. There was a twist that kept you wondering the last few minutes if the bad guy was someone else. I won't say what but a couple of theater goers said the same thing as we left the theater. But we were wrong! Oh! the author of the book Le Child has a cameo shot as the Police Desk Sergeant.

Suspense, Action, Intrigue, Romance, Good Story, Well Done!

I like trying to figure out who the mole is, and this was a fun movie to do it with. There were several twists and the 'who-done-it' shifted a number of times, along with the added 'who are these guys, and what do they want'. The chase scenes were well done and believable and the SS 396 not coming out of the last one in such good condition was a little heart-breaking, but understandable. This movie was a reliably "Cruisin" movie that was plenty of fun. If you like Tom, it's a good bet you'll like this. If you don't, why would you go? I do, and I say, GO!!

ps - the "Critics" are a bunch of bums that stopped having fun about 20 years ago.

Tom Cruise Is Amazing But Should Be R Rated!

Tom Cruise does it again in this riveting action/adventure/murder mystery story! Lots of twists and turns with an exciting climax that includes Robert Duvall in a key role. Don't miss this! (But should be R rated - this movie is WAY too violent for teenagers!)

Excellent movie. Actually much better than I thought. Had a feeling it was going to be just another shoot-em up movie. Was very surprised...it had an actual plot/story...very pleased indeed. Keep ya guessing til the end. Great acting and great action flick as well...Would definitely recommend this movie!!

Storyline holes

Why these got such glowing reveiws is beyond me! It is simply a vehicle for Cruise to preen and posture, showing off his super-star (imagined) chops. The story is silly. What construction company employs Russian mafia and constructs elaborate conspiracies to win contracts? The victim's supposed shooting rampage is viewed as it happened, only it didn't. The quarter in the meter is the stupidest crutch for an entire movie, ever! Nobody can hit Cruise or his buddy, but of course they are themselves making impossible shots at night without night vision or laser sights. The cop's corruption is never explained. I could just about buy the mission impossible franchise with Cruise but here his efforts are just plain silly.

Outstanding

Absolutely one of the best Tom Cruise movies I've seen. Very well put together and the actors were definitely top shelf. I will, without a doubt, purchase the movie once released.

Cruise pulled off this role as Jack Reacher even with his small stature. This is a must see. Lots of action that will keep your attention for the whole movie even though it is over two hours long. I would like to see more of this Rosamund Pike in the future.

Fabulous translation of page to film

It's a great action movie, with a great plot and wonderful acting. Tom Cruise does a great job bringing Jack Reacher to life, and the supporting cast is awesome. Plus, lots of bad guy b*** gets kicked. It's awesome!

dont buy full price tickets-but see it

Definitely enjoyed the movie- but- glad I got the matinee price!! lots of action,lots of blood and guts and also some schticks remiiniscent of the home alone buffoons. many unanswered questions in the story line and many non-sequitors- but some laugh out loud moments too.

Not what I expected.

I can kinda see why people are really excited for this movie, but I was severely disappointed. The trailers make it seem like there's a lot more action than there actually is. And just the overall tone I got from them made me expect intense like "Taken" but instead it was just a mediocre thriller like "Basic".
