I really liked Jack Reacher and so did my wife who usually doesn't like these types of movies and who isn't a Tom Cruise fan. We see many movies and recommend this one.

Terrific film all around. If you read Lee Child's books, you have to forget about Reacher's intimidating physical characteristics, but Tom Cruse became Reacher in the flesh very believably. Film, like Child's books, never dragged- was spot on with how Reacher lives, acts, reacts, fights, etc. My ex-Marine husband gave it a Perfect10 on the scale of good movies and I concur. Hope to see Cruise do more Reacher films!

Loved it!

I thought this was a great movie. There were a few funny parts which I loved b/c I so love to laugh. There were no sex scenes, so I didn't regret bringing my 11 year old son (also loved it). I loved the way the detective, Reacher, was so intuitive and always had the final word (or blow). Typical Tom Cruise movie/acting. Loved the movie and T.Cruise.

Great movie

As expected this is a movie with a lot of action. The movie starts out a little slow, but it has all the action you expect from a Tom Cruise movie. It is true to the Jack Reacher character in the book. If you like action movies please go see it.

The best action film in a while. it was as good as his MI films.Tom Cruise still has it. I am glad to see that the action in this movie was steady and there were some comical parts as well. This movie is both action and suspense.

the movie is good

the movie was really good and I liked it,
it was a little dark, and not so funny like "Knight and day", a movie that I really loved
I dont think that will buy the DVD,
Tom Cruise was really good in this role and so was Robert Duvall,
Was also a little bit long, it is like 2 hours a 10 min
Per total, was a good movie, and you did not guess who were the all the villans until the end

yes yes yes ,,,tom did it again good sceario, good actor ,good director...i even forgot he made mission impossible...it's worth the effort of going and the money .

surprisingly good

This movie turned out to be not what I expected. We found it to be fast-paced, exciting,, and generally very entertaining. This is a 'Tom Cruise' movie, in which his talents are put to good use. Tom does a good job of mixing' gung ho' with humanity.
I had never heard of Jack Reacher novels until I saw a review posted here. I cannot compare Cruise's movie character with the book's, but I feel he probably did the book character justice.

Pretty good for aTom Cruise comeback.

A good, action flick with not a lot of over the top violence, or unneccessarily gaudy action scenes as has become the norm with "military-themed" action movies.
Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher makes very good sense, as the biggest, loudest guy in the room is not necessarily the most dangerous....usually the wanna-be in the crowd.
Also, it seems there was a painful effort made NOT to force romance into the movie. However; you can see where the attempt was approached to insert some sexual tension in, but it was intentionally shot dead.
Bravo on that. It's a thinking man/woman's action movie.

Another Awesome performance!

I just love Tom Cruise. He is always so intense and never lets you down! I love his acting as he does not compromise and lets it all go and you really believe it! I have been a fan since Risky Business! And Jack Reacher was not a disappointed! I cannot wait to see Oblivion, that looks even better, especially since I am a SCI FIi & Fantasy fiction fan. And Morgan Freeman is in it! It's gotta be a box office!!!!

And in Jack Reacher, I felt satisfied when the bad guys got it, It was fitting! Great cars, action, suspense, not to mention Robert Duval was in it. I'd give it an A.

Wow

ok...I was a fan of Tom Cruise in the 80's, but have found his movies since then less than appealing. This movie came as a wonderful surprise. Tom acted the role perfectly, and everyone was cast wonderfully in this movie. I don't want to say much more and ruin the movie for you. I enjoyed it.

Fun and intense

With a plot that has much interest the action is top notch, intriguing and weaves its way through the movie in an interesting way. This is a really good Tom Cruise effort. First in a long time! Good job Tom !!!

Jack Reacher was a good movie the plot was nice and again Tom Cruise an excellent actor. Can't wait for the next Jack Reacher movie.....A must go see... you will enjoy

Very Good Movie

I have read 12 of the Jack Reacher novels and was skeptical when I heard that Tom Cruise, a small guy, was playing Reacher, a large man. Cruise delvers! The movie is based on the novel "One Shot" and is very true to the book throughout. Reacher fans will like this movie!

The movie made you think, it had a good plot and kept you interested all the way through the movie. Lots of action and at times you were on the edge of your seat. I would go see it again and again. My kind of movie.
