Great plot. Great mix of drama, action and suspense. Great characters. Great movie. You could wait til it's out on DVD or cable, but you're gonna want to see it on the big screen.

TYPICAL TOM CRUISE FLICK

I LIKED IT, IT WAS A TYPICAL TOM CRUISE FLICK, A LOT OF ADVENTURE AND OF COURSE, HE RIGHTS THE WRONGS AND SAVES THE DAY. KEPT MY ATTENTION .

Excellent movie. Actually much better than I thought. Had a feeling it was going to be just another shoot-em up movie. Was very surprised...it had an actual plot/story...very pleased indeed. Keep ya guessing til the end. Great acting and great action flick as well...Would definitely recommend this movie!!

Good action film, with some interesting plot twists and turns. Great chase scenes, other action segments were within the realm of possiblity, unlike many other films of this type. Would recommend to action film fans. Cruise being cruise, some iclever dialogue. Robert Duvall comes close to stealing the film, great job on his role.

this was the movie we went to see on our 35th Anny. We really liked it. Was glad to see I didn't have to see graphic violence. It was implied but not seen (blood, etc.). I intend buying the dvd when it comes out, can watch this one several times. Good action, acting, directing, I think editing messed up a bit, when the _____ (don't want to spoil it) said he had no choice...that was never clarified as to why he had no choice...we would have liked to know why.

Doesn't work as action, mystery, comic, cop, or thriller flick

Outside of the Duval/Cruise scenes the plot, acting, writing and action were terrible. How can you make car chases and shootouts boring?

If you are looking for a fun action movie check out Gina Carano in Haywire, much better is every way.

This movie was action-packed and suspenseful and kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. The car chases were great - I felt like I was in the car with him. Cannot wait for another in this series of movies.

Not too shabby!

I was absolutely not even thinking about going to see this movie until a buddy of mine told me he went to go see it and that he enjoyed it.
I like many of you, was a little put off by the advertisements for it and figured it would be another short bus type movie...
The acting is not bad and the story line is fairly good.
I'd say the movie falls off at the very end (last 5mins), but not badly.
All-in-all with a lack of good movies out, this one fills that empty slot between okay - pleasant bowel movement.

The theater was on the edge of the seat from beginning to end... You have to make a sequel...

I was hesitant to go see this on New Years. But, I did! Finally a great movie for Tom Cruise.
It was full of action......a very interesting plot and well acted by all.

We really enjoyed it. Highly recommend it. My husband was happy too.

I really liked Jack Reacher and so did my wife who usually doesn't like these types of movies and who isn't a Tom Cruise fan. We see many movies and recommend this one.

Not just another mindless action flick

An excellent mystery/action film with a lot of great moments and lines that were completely unexpected. It's as if they were deliberately trying to avoid the stereotypes, and it worked for me. Tom Cruise is ... well he's just Tom Cruise the action star, but he has a lot of fun with the role. An action scene halfway in where he's searching a house and two guys follow him in is absolutely hilarious. "Jack Raqcher: features a great supporting cast highlighted by Robert Duvall in one of my favorite characters of his in years.

Tom Cruise is now the new Jack Reacher

Tom Cruise nailed the role. It had a very good story line with suspense, and action. I can really see at least three more Jack Reacher films with Tom Cruise, as long as Cruise has a good script and supporting cast. There was a twist that kept you wondering the last few minutes if the bad guy was someone else. I won't say what but a couple of theater goers said the same thing as we left the theater. But we were wrong! Oh! the author of the book Le Child has a cameo shot as the Police Desk Sergeant.

Much better than I expected

Went to see Jack Reacher because Le Miserables was sold out and I was pleasantly surprised. The film was very entertaining, loaded with action and funny moments. I was glad that I went to watch it to cap off a nice Christmas gathering with the family. I understand that this is a series of books so I will definitely be interested in watching future Jack Reacher films.
