Great Movie

This is a great movie the action was great and the storyline was very understandable and the movie flowed very well. Tom Cruise was great and played the role very well. The other actors were great as well.

Great action flick

My husband and I really enjoyed this movie. Lots of plot twists which kept it interesting. I had read some of the Jack Reacher books so I was in the skeptic group about Tom Cruise and his size not living up to the book version. This was not a problem at all. Tom did a great job as always in this kind of show. Rest of the cast also had good performances.

Better than I expected. Did not bother me that Cruise is not as tall as the character Reacher. There's suspense, mystery, humor, action and a good car chase that ends in a great way.

Reacher could have been called Grabber

The movie grabbed my attention from the onset... It is a mind teaser. It has a quasi romance for the ladies. Action for the men. Sever great oneliners for all of us who love to see the spirit of the law enforced.

Jack Reacher was a good movie the plot was nice and again Tom Cruise an excellent actor. Can't wait for the next Jack Reacher movie.....A must go see... you will enjoy

Good film but could be shorter

They used the book pretty well and scenario more or less matches. Humor is nice and whole film is fun. But I think that the car chase is really unnecessary.

Action packed

Great story, lots of good action including fight scenes and a great car chase. I didn't really expect to like this movie, but I'm glad I went to see it!!

Suspense and Action But...

Overall it was an OK action and suspense flick, however the believability of the characters and story was strained. I can see Cruise trying to parlay this into a movie series. While I'm not a big Cruise fan, I thought he did a pretty good job acting in this one.

content was intense, yet entertaining and at times funny. Loved it all.

The movie made you think, it had a good plot and kept you interested all the way through the movie. Lots of action and at times you were on the edge of your seat. I would go see it again and again. My kind of movie.

Tom Cruise in no Jack Reacher.

The title says it all. Tom Cruise is in no way, shape, or from, Jack Reacher. The only thing they have in common is that they are both male.
Cruise is a wimp and in no way personifies the Largeness of Jack Reacher. What a HORRIBLE miscast.
Just because you buy the rights to a movie should not mean you should play the main character. What a narcissist he is.
This movie is CRAP.

Jack Reacher is Great!!

I wasn't going to see this because it just looked like the type of movie that has been done and redone etc. but my son wanted to see it so we did. This movie is really genius I would say. It is just so we;ll done, clever & well thought out. The drama parts had me with a lump in my throat & funny parts had me literally laughing out loud. I've never reviewed a movie before but I thought this movie really needs recognition.

Okay action flick

Tom Cruise does a good job at playing an over-the-top action hero. But, the movie is okay. Some of the premises are hooky - for example, the conversation with Cruise as "a witness" and the lawyer saying the conversation is priviledged, another would be a parking garage with meters. I did not leave the theater thinking I had to go see it again. Just your typical action-flick to waste two hours of your day in fantasy-land.

JACK REACHER film review

This movie lived up to the hype. Tom Cruise finishes out a miraculous year that began with MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - GHOST PROTOCOL and continued with his surprising turn as Stacie Jaxx in ROCK OF AGES. This was a suspenseful thrillride from the opening scenes.Rosamund Pike was lovely in the role as the D.A's daughter. And Robert Duvall was a scene stealer as a retired Army soldier who helps Jack in the tense final battle. This was the first time that Tom Cruise and Robert Duvall have teamed together since DAYS OF THUNDER (1990). I can definitely see him continuing this character in a potential sequel.
