    End of watch

I thought the movie was pretty good.
I didn't care for the stereotyping of the Hispanic and black culture. I thought that was carried to the extreme.
The acting was excellent and very believable.
Absolutely not for kids, too many unnecessary f bombs in the dialogue.

    Movie was good

    by zuhzuh

I thought the movie was good, although was dissapointed that some kind of acknowledgement was not given to all the real officers that risk they lives everyday just like the officers in the movie...

    Loved it! Definitely intense

    by

This movie really makes you appreciate the police and realize the danger they face every time they go to work. Be safe out there. On that note the military should be included as well. It can get crazy out there

    So NOT Training Day 2!

So, I was expecting more from this flick - I guess because it was written by the same author as "Training Day"; a colossally great movie - but was disappointed. It was filled with violence and blood, and the typical Mexican drug lord gore, but it didn't do anything for me. See it if you like action flicks, but it is NOT worthy of any kind of nomination for any film awards. Jake Gyllenhaal is NOT Denzel Washington!

    Zavala and Taylor

    by

This movie had me from the beginning to the end. I will warn you that it will have you dizzy at the start, but once you get over the motion sickness it will have you wondering what is going to happen next. It is a great story between two friends, who just want to be the best cops ever. They will make you laugh, cry and reflect over you life. It did not disappoint me at all!

Unlike Training Day, some likable characters.

I don't even like cop movies, but these characters were well cast and and the screenplay was well-written. Guys will like the violence and their wives or girlfriends will like the drama and story lines. I can usually guess the ending when it gets close, but not this time.

    End Of Watch

This is a good movie! The actors did a great job. The storyline was very good. Don't want to give it away, but it showed the everyday life of a hypothetical cop. The only complaint I had was the cinematography. Remember Blair Witch Project? It's similar to that. But....all in all go see it! It's good!

    Wow.

I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. Broke your heart, made you laugh, got you thinking. Amazing movie, but not for the light-hearted. Very real, very in your face. No boundaries. Amazing plot and even better casting. All around awesome movie.

Excellent. Wasn't expecting this gritty tale to be well....good. How many times is the F Bomb Dropped?!

Great movie, great acting on the part of the not so central characters. Jake and Michael are very talented; however, it always makes me cringe when you have a duo (whether Black & White or White & Hispanic) and they overdo the stereotypical jokes. Burrito, really? There's so many Mexican celebrations, really? These are things that are obvious without pointing it out every five minutes within the movie.

    I digress.

The Mexican cartel gang gave an accurate portrayal of the supposed attitude of Mexican cartels. Additionally, it was an accurate portrayal of Black v. Mexican relations in many "hoods.'

The movie was definitely a must see, but for Pete's sake, the camera angles will give you a migraine!

And, I'm pretty sure the Screenwriter is rivaling Scarface's use of the F bomb!

    Great Movie!

This was a great movie. It was more a documentary style which is not what I expected but it is what made it great! The characters are funny and lovable and very easy to connect with. One of the better movies I have seen in a while!

    Funny but Foul

    by

The movie was funny but definitely too full of foul language for my taste! At least every 10th line and in most places every other word, was "F" this and "F" that! The violence I expected given the trailer, but I did not have the expectation to hear as much foul language as I did. To me it took away from the impact of the movie.

    Same ol Same ol

    by

This is the worst movie Ive seen in years....The action is ok, but the script is horrible. The conversations between the two cops are unbalanced and just unatural. They just dont come accross how normal people talk. Ive never seen a plot so thin. Its literally spelled out for you. There is not one single surprise in this movie. we all know what happens to a married cops...........Its terrible and then to make matters worse its shot in cloverfield/blair witch style camera. i thought this style was reserved for movies with suspense, but considering this movie has none, it just seems stupid, and a gimmick at best. I guess this shows were the massed like their movies dumbed down and spelled out....Knowing everything thats going to happen in a movie IS NOT ENTERTAINMENT!!!!

    Lots of fun and action

Cool movie, camera work made it really interesting and acting was outstanding. Story became a bit predictable, but overall very well done. It was really funny too. Definitely worth seeing in the theater!

    Not Sure

    by NICU RN

I did like this movie. As the mother of a Caucasian police patrol officer it terrified me. I'm not sure I "get it" - it seemed to be a series of "a day in the life" and the ending left some unanswered questions for me. But I think it's worth seeing.

    Good Movie - Bad Ending

    by nlappe

My wife and I enjoyed the movie. Good story line, good acting and a good amount of action. However, the ending left a lot to be desired. It was almost like the producers didn't quite know how to end the movie, so they made something up that just didn't seem to fit. Still worth seeing.
