    An Absolute must see movie I give it a 5 star rating

    My wife and i went to see End Of Watch last night, It was great from start to finish. My wife on the other hand was not to thrilled about some of the things that were shown. I just reminded her that not all Law Enforcement Officers have those types of days and nights. It just depends on the sector that you are assigned to. I myself work in Law Enforcement, however, I work on the incarcerated side of the house and she knows that my goal is to go on the road so she got very worried when she saw the fire fighting scenes,. I think that she thought about me being involved in those types of situations especially since officer Taylor was a Marine and im a Marine veteran of 12 years. She asked me did i really want to go on the road. I told her it's the best way to advance in my career. I wouldn't advise anyone who has a weak stomach to see this movie I have been on some ride alongs with Police Officers the best one was a suspect seen with a gun. We drove at high speeds to get there.

    Awesome!

    Awesome movie. So real and life like. I felt like I was observing and nearby - loved the camera shots. Tee movie is full with a range of emotion from joy to laughter to tears to disgust. You will be moved.

    Profanity to a ridiculous level.

    I'm not a prude, have been known to use the F-bomb on occassion, but this movie took cursing to a level that was absurd. The story and acting were obscured due to the profanity.
    It was a good story, acting excellent, but I remember most the swearing. I remember that this one of the only movies that I have seen people get up and walk out, never to return. As good as the story was, with all the action, the theatre should have been busier, instead it was near empty, and 10% of those there left less than midway. My friend and I were using a Fandango BOGO deal we had gotten, and she remarked that she was glad we hadn't paid full price.

    Such a waste of a good story and acting. Well at least they didn't have to pay much for the writing!

    Buddies to the End

    This is one of the best cop/buddy movies ever. Fascinating glimpse at life on the streets for a pair of pretty righteous L.A. cops. What makes this movie stand out is its realism and great acting by the two leads. We're talking Oscar level here, IMHO.

    AWSOME MOVIE

    Real and Intense

    Jake Gyllenhall was fabulous, and so was his co-star Michael Pena. The movie depicted real life as a police officer in LA, and what they are up against. It was intense! I am the daughter of a retired NYPD officer. End of Watch truly told the story of what the Peace Officer "family" is all about.

    End of Watch

    I really didn't want to see this movie but my husband did. So a went with him anyways. I have to say this movie gave me chills, made me cry and made me laugh. Amazing I would go to see it again. Sadly everything in the movie is true, this is what happens today. But the movie is awesome.

    An amazing action movie

    The film was great! Hilarious moments lining up perfectly with tense moments, the characters are believable and the plot is really well laid out. Even if you're not a cop, you're going to enjoy this movie!

    Pleasant Surprise

    I have been recommending this movie to everyone I know. You should too. The humor, the action is all on point and with perfect timing. Whether you're a cop or a thug, there is something for you in this movie.

    A solid cop movie

    I wasn't completely enthralled by the movie, but it was entertaining.
    Theres alot of profanity in this movie, but its a cop movie set in LA. Do you expect the gangbangers to have a highly refined vocabulary & speak in professional jargon?
    The plot & even the tricky little ending was predictible, but there was some solid action, intense moments & even humor in this flick.
    Overall a solid movie. Just know that you'll have to get used to the mobile camera work. It can be annoying at times.

    Great Movie but Feeds Stereotypes

    First and foremost, let me say that I REALLY enjoyed this film. The action was great. The storyline was great. It kept me interested the entire time. However, one lone critical observation is that this film stereotypes minorities to the point where it's almost comical. From watching the film, you would think that every Black and Hispanic in South Central is in a gang, hooked on dope, an illegal alien, or both! WOW, HOLLYWOOD! Although I'm not from Los Angles, I think it safe to presume that not every Hispanic or Black in L.A. is in a street gang. Furthermore, this movie portrays the LAPD as the most pious of organizations which CLEARLY is not the case. But again, and if you can get past all the hollywood stereotypes, this is still a great movie. I just wish Hollywood would do a better job at managing cultural bias and misperceptions. To those who are ignorant and uninformed, this movie will only serve to cement all the preposterous notions that they already believe.

    Best Movie I've seen all year

    And I've seen some good ones. This is NOT a typical "cops go after the gang" movie. I really liked the interaction between the main characters, and it was the human element that made this movie absolutely the best I've seen this year. Gillinghall pulled off what I thought he couldn't do quite honestly, and Pena was ready for this role it's obvious. The camera angles everyone talked about bugged me for a few minutes, but oncer I got into the plot and the acting, it just became part of the movie.
    Go see this one. I hate to be cliche, but you'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll cheer.

    Outstanding Movie

    This flick is as close to being in the car with a cop working his beat as most will ever come.... and SURPRISE folks....... cops swear ,,,,,,,,, did you not hear the intro at the beginning of the movie..... cops are people....not programmed robots ...... I digress....... excellent, excellent movie !!! GO SEE IT !!!!
