    great movie

I fund it to be one of the best cop movies to date, and I will even go a little further and say that it was one of the better cop movies ever. It is that good. This movie has a good story/plot. Lots of action and they make it very real. Go see it, you wont be dissapointed.

    End of watch.....it over

Just another vulgar, insipid cop movie. It portends to be about the brotherhood of cops but turns into a display movie time obscenity.and pseudo film making. Ayer thinks he is. Making a real street movie......but it is really a sham. Home movie

Theres something wrong with you if you dont love this movie!

I went into this thinking it was going to be an okay movie, but as soon as the first scene passed, I knew I was in for one hell of a ride! This movie has the best acting I have seen all year. It's so real that you forget at one point your watching a movie. As silly as it sounds in one point in the movie I felt like my life was on the line just as theirs. Superb job overall, people complain about too much cussing but in reality cops do cuss just as much as the guys in this movie. This is a movie I would see again a few times, YOU NEED TO SEE THIS MOVIE!

Unlike Training Day, some likable characters.

I don't even like cop movies, but these characters were well cast and and the screenplay was well-written. Guys will like the violence and their wives or girlfriends will like the drama and story lines. I can usually guess the ending when it gets close, but not this time.

    A GREAT COP MOVIE

End of Watch was a great cop movie. The director did a good job of depicting the camaraderie among police officers, and the bonds of brotherhood that form between partners who work together. I felt that End of Watch showed the ?human? side of police officers and how they deal with life on and off the job. The film had good and fairly realistic action sequences, good film, I highly recommend it.

    Bro Fest

    by

Not a movie for the faint of heart, but the movie definitely got to my heart. The first-person camera really makes the movie go and gets the audience fully invested in the characters. I laughed and cried at every turn and twist of the intimate story. Definitely worth seeing it in theaters!

    End of Watch?Great movie!

    by nwwoman

I put it at an A- to B+. My male movie mate gave it a B- to C+. I thought it could probably be a pretty accurate depiction of the days in the life of two street cops. I was moved by the emotions of the characters and enjoyed the action. The last couple years have left me wondering if there really are great cops out there. I hope there's a few of these guys roaming our streets. The movie is a go see, thumbs up!

    Funny, suspense filled...an emotional rollercoaster

    by

Very good movie. Superb.acting... The story is full of suspense, humor, and emotion from beginning to end. It tells a story about the friendship and the everyday work of two police officers. It is not for children as it has nudity, violence, and bad language.

Best Movie I've seen all year

    by Remye

And I've seen some good ones. This is NOT a typical "cops go after the gang" movie. I really liked the interaction between the main characters, and it was the human element that made this movie absolutely the best I've seen this year. Gillinghall pulled off what I thought he couldn't do quite honestly, and Pena was ready for this role it's obvious. The camera angles everyone talked about bugged me for a few minutes, but oncer I got into the plot and the acting, it just became part of the movie.
Go see this one. I hate to be cliche, but you'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll cheer.

Finally, a cop movie that's right on the money.

This movie is right on the money on all counts.. true to what police work really is. All the scenes are realistic... none of this throwing cars into choppers and blowing up city blocks to catch a bad guy. This is a real world cop movie with excellent acting, incredibly accurate depictions (first time I've heard a character in a cop movie look for probable cause for a stop) and an even better plot. I would see it in theaters again, given the opportunity. If you are law enforcement, or want to be, see it... but leave your family at home. It's very real. and very blunt.

    Gritty

One of the most realistic portryals of cop life I've seen in a while. Storyline was average but perfromances were above par. Especially the bit players (gang members) they brought the authenticity to the film. Jake and Michael did a good job. I give it an A-

    Enjoy the movie

    by phern12

If you love to watch movies for entertainment this is a must go. If you're a movie critic that hates all movies...don't go. End of Watch...it is what it is...a violent, funny, sarcastic man movie. Have a good time.

    great!

    by

wonderfully produced, fantastically acted. only reason i didn't give it a "MUST GO" is because my husband is deploying to Afghanistan in 2 weeks, so this movie hit home a little too much for me. But, other than that, it was a great watch. very gritty, very realistic. good insight to cop life.
