Best Cop/Buddy Movie I've Ever Seen

    by

The brotherhood, companionship, and love in this movie is strong. It's witty, emotional, and full of action. It will keep you on the edge of your seat and have you laughing and then crying before you realize you've swapped. This is just a good movie, and it's something different.

    Wow.

I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. Broke your heart, made you laugh, got you thinking. Amazing movie, but not for the light-hearted. Very real, very in your face. No boundaries. Amazing plot and even better casting. All around awesome movie.

    Non-Stop Excitement

Pretty damn good movie after waiting months preview after preview and finally having some time to check it out I found myself very satisfied and would consider seeing it again; However, it was really a low budget film with good dialogue such as the jokes and the two cops talking about their wife/girlfriends "love" between partners and Kicking Ass. Furthermore, End Of Watch is like the movie Colors that came out in the 80's but more focused on hispanic than black, both films are shot in South Central Los Angeles. Go See It

    End of watch

I thought the movie was pretty good.
I didn't care for the stereotyping of the Hispanic and black culture. I thought that was carried to the extreme.
The acting was excellent and very believable.
Absolutely not for kids, too many unnecessary f bombs in the dialogue.

    A solid cop movie

    by JDLPRO

I wasn't completely enthralled by the movie, but it was entertaining.
Theres alot of profanity in this movie, but its a cop movie set in LA. Do you expect the gangbangers to have a highly refined vocabulary & speak in professional jargon?
The plot & even the tricky little ending was predictible, but there was some solid action, intense moments & even humor in this flick.
Overall a solid movie. Just know that you'll have to get used to the mobile camera work. It can be annoying at times.

    Powerful...

While this movie started off with so many F-bombs you'd think they were coming out of an assault rifle, the story line built and engaged you very well. Having just gone through some community classes with our police department, can tell you there was a lot of accuracy to detail. I did cry, and put my hand over my mouth so as not to gasp out loud sometimes! It was a good movie, but hard to take...made me appreciate all our local heroes even more. This is NOT for kids -- too much language, blood and gore.

    You won't be disppointed!!

This movie is very compelling and will keep you involved in the action from the moment the movie starts. The actors really make you feel that they are 100% cops working in South Central and real life depiction of what these officers have to deal with at any time and how they risk their lives to protect our neighborhoods is the theme of this movie. Like I said, you will not be disappointed from start to finish and you will walk out of the theater with a sense of gratefulness and respect for these men in uniform.

    EXCELLENT

Great movie. Pulls you in to the lives of two officers as they perform their duties. Great actors in all the movie. Take plenty of tissues you're gonna need them!! This is not a film for the kids, a lot of hard action.

    Do miss this one...

There's been much noise out there about this piece of filmmaking cinematic history. I actually read somewhere a mention of "Training Day" in the same sentence as "End of Watch." Well, let's put our two cents out there... Even, both films share the same scribe, This is not, in any way shape or form, remotely in the category of "Training Day", and all that noise about this film, well, let's save it for something else worth barking about.
I was actually baffled to find myself reacting this way to this movie, since David Ayer has a long list of cool movies to his credit. I guess everyone missed a home run here and there. And, then again, this is just my two cents...
Swimming somewhere deep in the current idiotic trend to shoot movies with video cameras the filmmakers found what barely passes for inspiration as a visual theme. Bring a bottle of Advil with you. The camera work is in deed that bad.

    End of Watch

This movie really brought me into the world of law enforcement especially police officers. The characters were so real and I feel, true to life. The bond between Taylor and Zavala is a touching bromance that I think any persons in law enforcement can appreciate. I laughed and cried during this movie it deffinately is a A Must See!!

    End Of Watch

This is a good movie! The actors did a great job. The storyline was very good. Don't want to give it away, but it showed the everyday life of a hypothetical cop. The only complaint I had was the cinematography. Remember Blair Witch Project? It's similar to that. But....all in all go see it! It's good!

    Great movie. Horrible, but real...

    by

Language = awful. But I've heard people talk like that. Violence = over the top. But probably not unrealistic for the setting. Story about two officer partners = fantastic. Real. Honest. Very raw, and very moving. Don't bring your kids, but go see this. On the big screen, where you can really allow yourself to get absorbed in it. Excellent film.
