    Cowboys Cops with drab design

Was greatly discounted with the movie. Despite being a south central native and movies showing an exaggerated depiction, in addition showing the movie in the north central/west of LA, i was only captivated the last 30mins. The story like of two young officers and their "cowboyish" practices were drug out in many scenes with very limite substance. What was I to walk away with? When there is no plot as just a moderately dramatic ending I was left with half a ba of popcorn and and empty can of movie satisfaction. I enjoyed ParaNoman more. Wen you think of movies around good and bad cops, their experiences on patrol I think of the classic, Colors, Street Kings, An Training Day. These left you with something. With its Blair witch videography, which was somewhat enjoyable, I would just wait for it to come out in Redbox or HBO.

    Non-Stop Excitement

Pretty damn good movie after waiting months preview after preview and finally having some time to check it out I found myself very satisfied and would consider seeing it again; However, it was really a low budget film with good dialogue such as the jokes and the two cops talking about their wife/girlfriends "love" between partners and Kicking Ass. Furthermore, End Of Watch is like the movie Colors that came out in the 80's but more focused on hispanic than black, both films are shot in South Central Los Angeles. Go See It

    Do miss this one...

There's been much noise out there about this piece of filmmaking cinematic history. I actually read somewhere a mention of "Training Day" in the same sentence as "End of Watch." Well, let's put our two cents out there... Even, both films share the same scribe, This is not, in any way shape or form, remotely in the category of "Training Day", and all that noise about this film, well, let's save it for something else worth barking about.
I was actually baffled to find myself reacting this way to this movie, since David Ayer has a long list of cool movies to his credit. I guess everyone missed a home run here and there. And, then again, this is just my two cents...
Swimming somewhere deep in the current idiotic trend to shoot movies with video cameras the filmmakers found what barely passes for inspiration as a visual theme. Bring a bottle of Advil with you. The camera work is in deed that bad.

    Same ol Same ol

    by

This is the worst movie Ive seen in years....The action is ok, but the script is horrible. The conversations between the two cops are unbalanced and just unatural. They just dont come accross how normal people talk. Ive never seen a plot so thin. Its literally spelled out for you. There is not one single surprise in this movie. we all know what happens to a married cops...........Its terrible and then to make matters worse its shot in cloverfield/blair witch style camera. i thought this style was reserved for movies with suspense, but considering this movie has none, it just seems stupid, and a gimmick at best. I guess this shows were the massed like their movies dumbed down and spelled out....Knowing everything thats going to happen in a movie IS NOT ENTERTAINMENT!!!!

Best Cop/Buddy Movie I've Ever Seen

    by

The brotherhood, companionship, and love in this movie is strong. It's witty, emotional, and full of action. It will keep you on the edge of your seat and have you laughing and then crying before you realize you've swapped. This is just a good movie, and it's something different.

    Loved it! Definitely intense

    by

This movie really makes you appreciate the police and realize the danger they face every time they go to work. Be safe out there. On that note the military should be included as well. It can get crazy out there

    A must see for me!

Definitely worth checking out. Fantastic cop movie and you really get to know and love the characters. The only reason I didn't mark this a "must go" is because of the camera work that was done. While it didn't bother me, I know some people are sensative to alot of camera movement from camcorders which might make some people sick. However, they did it in a great way.

    Must see cop film

    by

Great performance by Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Pena. These guys are cops out to make a difference and aren't afraid to get their hands a bit dirty. HIGHLY recommend going to see this film.

    my kind of movie

from the trailer i knew i would like it, but turns out i loved it. cant wait to see it again soon. love the closeness of the 2 partners and the action was all there along with the now "modern" camera shooting from handheld devices instead of an actual camera on a tripod. love it, and recommend highly to any action goers.

    Good Movie - Bad Ending

    by nlappe

My wife and I enjoyed the movie. Good story line, good acting and a good amount of action. However, the ending left a lot to be desired. It was almost like the producers didn't quite know how to end the movie, so they made something up that just didn't seem to fit. Still worth seeing.

Finally, a cop movie that's right on the money.

This movie is right on the money on all counts.. true to what police work really is. All the scenes are realistic... none of this throwing cars into choppers and blowing up city blocks to catch a bad guy. This is a real world cop movie with excellent acting, incredibly accurate depictions (first time I've heard a character in a cop movie look for probable cause for a stop) and an even better plot. I would see it in theaters again, given the opportunity. If you are law enforcement, or want to be, see it... but leave your family at home. It's very real. and very blunt.

    Movie was good

    by zuhzuh

I thought the movie was good, although was dissapointed that some kind of acknowledgement was not given to all the real officers that risk they lives everyday just like the officers in the movie...
