Whew! I just caught my breath...

I don't know about you, but I've seen every Bond movie and of course I have my favorite Bond. Connery, Sean Connery, followed by Pierce Brosnan, but I know what I want for Christmas this year....Craig, Daniel Craig! If the running time of this movie is 2h23m, I never noticed. I was exhausted when I left the movie house. This movie was so much fun, everything you'd expect from a Bond moive...guns, girls, evil villans, fast cars and beautiful scenery. If you are a Bond girl or a Bond guy, get some popcorn and buckle up, you're going to have a good time.

The Sky is not the limit!

Saw the IMAX Midnight release. The best opening sequence of all the Bond films. My knuckles were white from gripping the armrest. Heavy nods to the entire franchise were given. Loved every minute

    007 Cat and Mouse

Is what it should've been called. I enjoyed it more than the last one.. More story than action, however, there is plenty of that as well. Without spoilers, let's just say Daniel Craig is already contracted for 5 bond films. If you're a fan of him as Bond, this will be an interesting one for ya. To me, it's worth the admission price. IMAX was a good choice for this one.

    Best Bond Ever

I love the direction of the new movie. Daniel Craig is great in the 007 role and the reboot is off to a great new adventure. I only wish they would make more time in exotic locations. Then again when your this absorbed in a movie time flies. Also, for bond, one tear or welled up eyes is best-when you see the movie you will know what I mean.

The acting was more felt with less one liners (Thank You). This allowed the few that was used to stand out.

    As Good As Casino Royale

Like a great chef interpreting a popular, old recipe for the first time and bringing something special out of it, Director Sam Mendes takes the Bond formula and adds a depth of quality to Skyfall that will surprise most people. A Bond film that follows the basic Bond formula *and* holds the attention of the viewer for the full 2 hours and 23 minutes is no easy feat.
If there's one sequence that serves as a summary of what Mendes adds to the Bond recipe, it's a duo of tracking shots that opens the film's third act, where a helicopter-mounted camera follows Bond's car along an isolated, wintry road into Scotland, looking down from the sky. It's like an imprimatur of quality, brief, effective and beautiful, with no pretension.
Mendes and his cast and crew show people how truly good a Bond film can be, and this raises the bar for the "minimal acceptable standard" of film making for every Bond film to follow. Let's hope the owners of the franchise take note.

    Best Bond Movie Yet!

This was easily the best of the Daniel Craig Bond movies. The IMAX was well worth the extra money and it made the action scenes heart-pounding! Very good story, great acting, great casting, great directing make this the best of the modern Bond movies.

    Solid Bond

    by ntilasi

I've seen every Bond movie at lease once. This is a solid installment of Bond. No 2 ways about it - from the opening motorcycle scene on top of the bazaar to the final showdown. As with the other Craig Bond movies there are plenty of nods to the past (not going to give any spoilers) while weaving in the modern and bringing Bond to be current. I personally love the fact that Q is now a "kid" with super computer skills. It adds a dimension other than just being the guy supplying the great gadgets. It makes Q a partner - showing Bond to be more of a team player and less of a rogue - although that aspect is still underlying Bond as a character. In the modern world, with the new enemies, we need the new technical along with the old boots on the ground and this movie emphasizes that. It was well balanced. I'm looking forward to the next Craig installment of Bond - James Bond will return!

    Certainly isn't boring...

Once we got past the fact that the blasted Fandango ticket kiosks at the theater weren't working so we had to wait in line despite the advance purchase of tickets, we enjoyed the movie. It had all the slam-bang action we've come to expect from a 007 film, and there was a twist at the ending that was quite satisfying. Question: How can Daniel Craig/James Bond spend so much time submerged, fully-clothed, in bone-chilling water? Does he have gills? Or just nine lives (several of which he must have used up in the flick alone)?

    Lots of action

I guess I keep waiting for the next Casino Royale. I had high expectations for this movie and it did let me down a bit. A typical Bond movie, but setting up for a new series with a new cast. Like I said, lots of action, the story takes a back seat, but well done overall.

That Adele song sounds much better in the movie than it does on the radio.

    Skyfall

It was good to get back into James Bond mood. It's been a while. The action scenes were great, special effects were awesome. Sound was way to loud; even down a notch or two would help. Seeing it in IMAX I'm sure was the only way to go. It's long but keeps you intrigued. I hardly squiggled in my seat at all.

    Good movie

Overall, the movie is good. Starts with a very good chase.. The movie slows down in middle, not many fancy gadgets this time and ending is not very spectacular, but keeps the viewer interested.

    Skyfall: Bond at His Best

Well, I didn't think it possible, but the new 007 flick was fantastic. The characters, the plot, the cinematography, the action were all excellent. Oh, and the music. When the old car appeared on the screen, the audience applauded spontaneously. All good stuff.

    A Homage gone wrong

Though Craig is one of my favorite actors, even I have to admit he no longer looks the part...
This Bond Movie has gone slightly too far with the unreasonable plot, non realistic fight scenes, and generally failed in creating what is expected from Bond: elegance, suspense and entertainment. The parts that refer to earlier Bonds are sometimes funny, and the Villain Character is another treat, played beautifuly. All in all its a decent evening entertainment, shame it falls considerable in comparison to the recent Bond Movie.

    Skyfall is a great movie!

    by

Skyfall 007 is a great movie! I enjoyed the last ten James Bond movies and this one is one of the best. The story line where they explain some of what is going on was a little slow, but other than that it was great. The action scene at the end was intense and kept me on the edge of my seat. You will not be disappointed.

Worth it in IMAX - Great Bond

It's a toss-up as to whether this is better than Casino Royale - it's a little different, a little darker, but it's the most thematically/emotionally grounded and coherent Bond, maybe ever. Pay no attention to the accusations of ripping off Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy - this is just a grown up Bond movie. It's worth seeing it in IMAX if you can see it in a genuine, full size IMAX theater in film - not a Fake IMAX digital screen.
