    WOW!!!

I am a big James Bond fan and this movie does a masterful job of going back to the roots of Bond and yet taking the franchise forward.

Adele's song is brilliantly Bond. Very reminiscent of Shirley Bassey.

And Albert Finney was a nice bonus!!

I recommend this movie to any Bond fan and anyone who wants to be one.

I AGREE: One of the Best of the Bond Movies

I like the brooding Bond, and the script that can admit the hero is aging (albeit, still with swagger!)...the story is superb and the action intense. Four words: SEE IT IN IMAX!

    Go See It

    by Knotch8

Well worth seeing, especially in IMAX.

A couple of slow places in the middle of it but, overall, a very good Bond experience. Lots of references to other movies, and not just Bond ones, either.

I had a bad feeling about it, if only because I'd heard that Heineken had bought a sponsorship in the movie, and Daniel Craig was going to be knocking back Heinies instead of vodka martinis. Nope. Lots of Heinis in the movie, true, but Bond still drinks martinis.

Overall, an excellent movie. Glad we went.

    A Bond new direction!

Skyfall is one of those rare times in the 50 year history of the 007 series that the ending will bring about a new direction for it's future success and ultimatly it's survival! Even if you are not a James Bond fan this a must see movie if there ever was one! It is well acted and directed, produced, filmed and delivers a wonderful package overall! Daniel Craig is by far the most physical Bond to date. And He delivers him in this insallment with a good standing and worthy of the heritage in a spy vs spy world! And brings breadth and depth of soul to a character that was devoid off it for so long! You might even say he is 3D Bond! Of course there are some that say he shouldn't have any traits other than the baser ones.I say Poppycock! And I also say heaven help whatever poor soul has the unpleasant task of following this actors James Bond!

    Definitely worth the IMAX experience

    by tman418

If you can see this film in IMAX, you should. Exclusively in IMAX you get to see over 30% more footage on a big, immersive screen. It will only enhance the experience of watching big, heart pounding action sequences and the intense bone-crunching fight scenes.

The best part about this movie is that there are no unnecessary explosions!

This movie is excellent. Alot of Bond action, alot of character development, and a great peformance by the Bond villian. Alot of surprises too, so don't miss a scene. Well worth the money to see it in IMAX! A must!

    Skyfall

The movie is a good transition to future Bond movies ... earlier ones were gadget and action oriented movies but this one has action and information technology. Less muscle and more finesse.

Set your expectations accordingly and you will enjoy the movie.

    Best one ever!

Javier bardem was over the top amazing. Great action and just a better movie than typical bond movies (even though no matter what I see them all)

    Don't expect the classic Bond.

This bond movie left me and my wife wondering what we had just witnessed. Was it a cross between a gritty action flick and an artsy indie movie? Yes. This version of the show starts with a much more vulnerable and seemingly less confident Bond. Although there were parts I truly relished and all involved performed splendidly, the whole persona of bond is that he should be overconfident. It feels more like Harry Potter 7.1 than a James Bond movie. Spoiler Alert!!! To top it off Bond fails at his last mission of the movie and sits there crying... Disappointing.

    Great Story/Great Escape

One of the best Bond Films ever---and I have seem most of them! The story draws the audience in and provides escape from the stressful holiday world outside the theater. For Bond fans, there are interesting characters and a transition to the next film---soon, I hope!

    Skyfall, a Thriller

Fun for kids of any age.

Skyfall was most notable for its 007-trademark action scenes -- like the opener, the orchestrated martial fight high in Shanghai, and the home stretch leading up to the finale.

A couple of things that seemed out-of-place though and were probably the result of some unnecessary license -- were the role of M in the last half, and Bond running around in heavy action scenes...wearing a snug-fitting, expensive suit.

However the flick was great for its action and there was never a dull moment.

A must for the Big Screen. Don't wait for the video.

    It's ok

    by sepuluh

    Great opening sequence.

I came to the movie with a great reserve of suspension of disbelief but this movie pushed me too far--not in the chases and fight scenes, but in the characterizations. Too often I found myself saying "What were they thinking!" both about the characters and the filmmakers.

    Oscar material

THE best Bond movie yet. Amazing. It's a must see. Now I know why all of those records were being broken in the UK as soon as the film came out around Halloween.
