    skyfall 007 - no introduction required ;)

    by

Daniel Craig acted as 007 wonderfully. He fits in to agent character like no one else would. Awesome action thriller. Just "take the bloody shot" and go. This is totally different kind of bond movie. It doesn't give you the feel of following foot prints of old 007 movies. Judi Dench acted very well and appearance of the Aston Martin DB5 makes everyone rejoice fairly.

Why, oh why did I pay extra for IMAX.

    by Kneecap

Okay, so my friends keep asking me how I enjoyed the movie, and while they have raved about it, for me it was just so-so. Why? Well 50% of the movie looks like it is out of focus or in low resolution. It was VERY distracting. The long shots of Macau and London were grainy, and soft focus, with only a few shots being in IMAX clarity. The more I watched, the more it upset me that I paid extra to see the movie in IMAX. Don't get me wrong, I am not blaming IMAX. I blame the producers for RELEASING IT in IMAX. I expect a certain level of perfection when I see an IMAX movie. This movie really fell short. Would I recommend it? Probably, with a footnote not to pay the extra dollars for IMAX.

    SKYFALL

Fantastic! A must see for all Bond fans. New and exciting, but enough references to the old films to make the die hard fan happy. You won't be disappointed. See it in IMAX if possible. (It was especially filmed for IMAX)**

    Non-stop action!

From start to finish, the action never stops in this latest Bond thriller. Daniel Craig is THE Bond of our time with a performance that is honest, gritty and entirely believable. Despite my dismay at having a gay villain (too many people already believe gays are evil and this won't help) Javier Badem's portrayal of a twisted former agent gone crazy after being 'given up' to be tortured for months as a political pawn is chilling and heart wrenching all at once. Keeping with tradition, Bond travels to several exotic locales leaving me with an overwhelming desire to book passage to Shang Hai asap. With lots of nods to the original Bond films from the 60's, this film has something for fans of all ages.

    Skyfall

Great movie first of all- for lots of reasons.. Jam packed action and fight sequences that are not over the top unrealistic.. Also since I am pretty sure the recent three films are technically prequels to many of the other Bond films this film had a lot of character development through the movie for Bond as he goes from the more brash Bond we have seen in the recent two movies into the smoother more subtle Bond we have always known. That being said with 50 years of Bond--- society, tech and the world of espionage to be portrayed have changed- and the movie also touches on that. Overall I give the movie 9.5/10 and will definitely see it again.

IMAX is the way if you can!

    by

We saw this in IMAX the day after Thanksgiving. It is one of the best Bond movies there is. I would recommend to any one still on the fence, just to go. You won't regret it! If you can see it in IMAX I feel that is worth the few extra dollars.

    Skyfall in IMAX

Awesome movie and IMAX made it even better. I've gotten to the point I won't even go to the theater if it's not IMAX. When the Tube (subway) came through the ceiling our seats were shaking. It's the first time I've ever felt a movie. The movie and experience were incredible. Keep 'em coming.

    Action Packed!

    by Tomd2

We took our two daughters (ages 8 & 13) to see this movie in IMAX. It was really good and really loud! It had a few bad words, and some sexy scenes, but mostly was so action packed that those scenes were insignificant for the kids. My 13 year old said it was the best movie she has seen this year. We loved Sean Connery, as James Bond, but Daniel Craig is GREAT in the role and is appropriately modernized. He is also in amazing shape! The movie has lots of funny parts too and references to the original 007 movies. Obviously, there is lots of killing and some unexpected deaths. They introduce new characters for some classic roles in the end, letting us know there are more Bond movies in the future. Javier Bardem is amazingly creepy, as the "bad guy" and should get nominated for an Oscar. Overall, Excellent movie!

    Skyfall

My husband and I went and LOVED this film. Daniel Craig is slowly creeping by Sean as the best James Bond EVER. The film was great; the acting suberb, and the villian efficiently creepy. I loved Craig's Casino Royale, was a little disappointed in Quantum of Solace, but Skyfalll was equally as satisfying as Casino Royale.

    Back to True Bond

    by kkrijt

I thought this 007 movie was great because it had lots of signature elements from the Bond films of Sean Connery and Roger Moore. Javier Bardem's acting is superb, I'd say the best villain role of a Bond movie yet. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely recommend to go see it on the big screen.

    Skyfall-IMax

Simply the very best "Bond" ever. Craig plays James in a cynical, ruthless manner which details precisely how author Ian Fleming portrayed Bond in the novels.
The reprise of the Aston-Martin DB-4 auto was priceless. The revelation of the Bond "family" home gave the character personality, strength and humanity. This was a perfect movie in every respect.

Double Thumbs UP for Double OH-7

If you love Bond then you just have to see this movie. Period. My review can literally stop there. But I'll explain.

While I am a consummate Sean Connery-era Bond fan, I think this prequel series just might be edging its way towards the top of the list... Where the previous films focus more on the (Bond) girls and gadgetry, Skyfall (like Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace before it) are completely & brilliantly character- and story-driven. They are smartly written and superbly acted.

Bardem should stay a dark eyed villain forever--he brought the crazy in No Country For Old Men (Friend-o) and walks the same dark line in this film. Dame Judi is as cool as ever--callus and steady, sharp tongued, yet still very vulnerable, very human. I think she played M to a T. And of course Craig is all bravado and bad-assed-ness. He can do no wrong in my book.

Definitely worth the price of admission. See it in IMAX if you can.

    Starfall was wonderful

    by tlayman

Classic Bond is back. It resets Bond to be better than ever.

Atlantic Station IMAX is ehh. Not the cleanest and there were "rainbows" and other digital artifacts during the movie.

    It's ok

    by sepuluh

    Great opening sequence.

I came to the movie with a great reserve of suspension of disbelief but this movie pushed me too far--not in the chases and fight scenes, but in the characterizations. Too often I found myself saying "What were they thinking!" both about the characters and the filmmakers.

    Skyfall

I've seen every Bond film made starting with Dr. No in 1962 and I think this movie, Skyfall, is the best Bond film ever. There are the usual things you expect to see in a Bond movie, women, clichés and action scenes, but the best part of this film is the excellent way they tied the old Bond films into the new and laid the groundwork for the next 23 Bond movies to be just as successful. Whether you've been to every Bond film made like me or this is your first you won't be disappointed.
