The Bond Canon is Complete
by
I have always been a Bond fan, and in particular a Sean Connery enthusiast, so I was skeptical from the beginning when Daniel Craig was cast as Bond for "Casino Royale". I was very happy with the result, but always struggled with the vast differences between the two men and their films. Connery's Bond was lean, sleek, and sophisticated, while Craig's Bond was stylish and forceful. Connery was tall, dark, and handsome, while Craig was shorter, light, and blonde. I had trouble accepting Craig's Bond into the canon, even despite the greatness of "Casino Royale". I no longer have any trouble. This movie is the transformation of Craig into Connery right before your very eyes, and you love every minute of it. Craig doesn't overplay his hand, or try to be Connery, but it just happens, and the canon comes full circle. This is a must-see movie, particularly for Bond lovers. You won't be disappointed.
