Rise of The Guardians... Great Movie!!

This is now one of my favorite Christmas movies!! I loved the meanings behind the story. My children really enjoyed it and asked for it for Christmas.

    Rise of the Guardians

We didn't get to see it, because the theater wasn't able to get the 3 d version to work. I was very disappointed because I had spent almost 40.00 dollars on food and drinks for me and my grandchildren and then sat there for over an hour while they tried to get it fixed. Then ended up throwing most of the food and drinks out and only getting vouchers to come another day to see the film. I felt we should have been reimbursed at least for the money for the drinks and food! I was very disappointed in the lack of customer service provided by this establishment!

    Enjoyable

I know I'm older than the target demographic, but I enjoy lots of animated movies. This one was beautifully made, but dragged in lots of places. I would place this movie on a 'must rent' list when it comes out on DVD, but if you don't have kids you might want to skip this movie in the theatres.

    WAY fun!

The last couple of movies I've watched were all based on superheroes or video games, so I'd almost forgotten that some kids' movies actually have a soul. This was a charming and visually stunning take on the Velveteen Rabbit-style myth about the power of children's beliefs.

    Entertainment

Maybe it is the holiday season that makes this movie so enjoyable. Whatever the reason, Rise of the Guardians is a good way to spend 1 1/2 hours. The concept of a tattooed, Russian, sword-wielding Santa, who has Yetis creating toys, is hilarious. Loved the tough Easter Bunny storyline, also. However, these very images that amused and entertained me MIGHT not be entirely appropriate for children younger than 9 years.

    Worth going too

Took my Father (82), sister and her twins (6), my wife and myself to see this. We had a great time. The story moves along well and the animation was fantastic! I would definitely go.

    Better than the newspaper reviews

I went with my nine year old daughter. She liked it, and so did I.
It wasn't fantastic or a "must see" but I thought it was pretty good and not nearly as bad as some of the newspaper reviews I read.

    elves

One of the all time best. Adorable factor goes to the elves. Coolness factor goes to the entire movie. Baby hop hop girl is to live for. Sandman is super cuddly. Mini tooth fairy (baby tooth) is just delectable. A truly special movie.

    Rise of the Guardians

This was a fun new take on how wondrous it feels to be a kid during the holidays. I appreciated how it jumped right into the story without needing much background and it kept my attention throughout. Great for kids and adults. Seems ripe for a squeal too...

A Good movie with good and bad against each other.

    by

I really liked the movie. It's so much better than the animated movies I've seen before. There was the good vs. bad in the movie and it showed about working together is the right thing to do. The 3-D effects were pretty good, too. I'm really glad that I went to see it with my brother and his son. It was a fast moving movie, too, which is usually really good with kids.

    Thought it was just "ok"

The plot of this movie moved fairly slowly and thought the mood of it was too dark for kids. I thought the villian of the movie was a particularly dark figure and that it was a little too scary in some scenes for small kids. That said, i did think the animation was fantastic and the viewer cannot help but be captivated by the flight scenes.

    Clean, mindless fun.

    by

The Rise of the Guardians is nothing special, in terms of deep, thoughtful drama, but is a suitable holiday entertainment, pitching childhood fantasy heroes Santa Claus, The Easter Bunny, The Tooth Fairy, and The Sandman, (joined by Jack Frost) against Pitch Black, the purveyor of everything dark, fearsome and scary in kids (in other words, the BOOGEYMAN). Good entertainment for kids upwards of about six to seven years old with their parents, as well as anyone with a vivid imagination. 3d effects were somewhat uneven, and were mostly of the in-your-face variety, so save your money and see the version without the bells and whistles....

Go - it is a new take on the old tales

    by

Had some good graphics, some laughs and was enjoyable by both children and adults. Not too scary for the little ones, but not boring for the adults either. I recommend as a great family film.
