    Rise of the Guardians

Absolutely delightful! My six year old laughed through the entire movie. It manages to incorporate all childhood magical characters into a worthy story. We will buy it on DVD so we can see it again and again.

Good movie, story, 3d not necessary

A little dark at times, but an entertaining story nonetheless. I don't think the 3d effects really added a lot to the movie, and you won't miss anything if you see it in 2d. Be ready for Santa to have an eastern European accent and a bit of a scary looking Easter Bunny with an Aussy accent.

    Awesome Movie!

    by jlavi

I found this movie to be typical Del Toro. Characters have an edge and aren't sugar coated. There is some darkness to it. The animation was awesome. Good for kids and adults. Great story and message. I recommend this film.

    Rise of the Guardians

We didn't get to see it, because the theater wasn't able to get the 3 d version to work. I was very disappointed because I had spent almost 40.00 dollars on food and drinks for me and my grandchildren and then sat there for over an hour while they tried to get it fixed. Then ended up throwing most of the food and drinks out and only getting vouchers to come another day to see the film. I felt we should have been reimbursed at least for the money for the drinks and food! I was very disappointed in the lack of customer service provided by this establishment!

Childhood stories fromt he early X-gens

A very neat take on the childhood stories of the Sandman, Toothfairy, the Easter Bunny, and of course Santa I remember my mom telling me when I was young. Definitly a feel good movie for the Holiday season.

Can't wait to see it again!

    by

I took my 5 and 3 year old kids to see this movie and they loved it! And to be honest, I did too! I loved how they portrayed Santa and the Easter Bunny as tougher than what we grow up as kids seeing, giving kids the trust that they will protect us from evil. It does get a little scary when they bogeyman comes into the movie, but overall the moral is that even though evil does exist, there is always someone there to protect us and there is no reason to be afraid. Because if you don't fear it, then it isn't there. Great characters, story line, plot, moral, overall everything great!

    Rise of the Guardians

Great movie! Whole family enjoyed it.... I thought the Good vs. Evil violence was downplayed in a brilliant way... My son 6 was not scared during the movie, 3D was not overdone, but did create a more vivid experience. What r u waiting 4.... GO!!!

    Clean, mindless fun.

    by

The Rise of the Guardians is nothing special, in terms of deep, thoughtful drama, but is a suitable holiday entertainment, pitching childhood fantasy heroes Santa Claus, The Easter Bunny, The Tooth Fairy, and The Sandman, (joined by Jack Frost) against Pitch Black, the purveyor of everything dark, fearsome and scary in kids (in other words, the BOOGEYMAN). Good entertainment for kids upwards of about six to seven years old with their parents, as well as anyone with a vivid imagination. 3d effects were somewhat uneven, and were mostly of the in-your-face variety, so save your money and see the version without the bells and whistles....

Great 3-D Animation With a Good Message

    by drancon

Great family movie. Excellent 3-D animation, fun characters, and a good, happy message for everyone this holiday season. Funny, not too scary for smaller kids. Though the basic story is predictable, it is a nice new twist. David Lindsay-Abaire is a terrific screenwriter (and playwright!).

Rise of The Guardians... Great Movie!!

This is now one of my favorite Christmas movies!! I loved the meanings behind the story. My children really enjoyed it and asked for it for Christmas.

    Thought it was just "ok"

The plot of this movie moved fairly slowly and thought the mood of it was too dark for kids. I thought the villian of the movie was a particularly dark figure and that it was a little too scary in some scenes for small kids. That said, i did think the animation was fantastic and the viewer cannot help but be captivated by the flight scenes.

    Great film

This was a fun movie for my son and me. It is a good holiday picture for a child especially with all of the characters in it! I can't say which one I liked the best; however, I am glad the toothfairy encouraged brushing your teeth and left gold coins under the pillow because our toothfairy does that. ;-) Definitely take your kids to see this! It is fun for adults too!
