    It's Tron meets Toy Story.

The title of the review says it all; it's Tron Meets Toy Story.
WIR is packed with colorful characters and settings in a movie that takes place in the after hours of an arcade when different videogames swap characters and mingle; sometimes with disastrous and heroic results (reminded me a bit of "Nightmare Before Christmas" with the mingling of the 'holiday worlds'). The movie is positively stuffed with videogame references and the voice acting is top notch and suits the characters perfectly (kudos to John C Reilly and Sarah Silverman). Probably a bit more fun for the kids and should easily hold their attention, but adults will enjoy it too (especially an adult like myself who used to frequent arcades as a kid in the '80s). Wreck It Ralph is the short definition for a perfect family film that never panders or underestimates it's audience.

    Wreck-It Ralph 3D

    by

It was ok movie. I didnt laugh as much as I hoped and seemed to drag a little. I love the old school game feel. Kids loved the movie and it was a great movie for kids. They didnt laugh which is a good indication it wasnt all that funny. The 3d wasnt the best either.

Funny new storyline - 3D not necessary

    by SeaWhy

DH and 8 yo son went; they said it was entertaining and funny for all ages. Opted for 3D since we had deals on tickets but they said there weren't that many parts that "jumped out" for the effect.

    Cute, but no Toy Story

I just took my 4 year old daughter to see this over the weekend. It was cute, plenty of jokes that parents would get. A tad slow for 4 year olds in some parts. Had a sweet ending. I don't know if I would get this on DVD iwhen it comes out...maybe a rental.

    Wreck-It Ralph is AWESOME!

I loved this movie because I love video games very much. It had some of the games I know and play like PAC-man, Super Mario Bros., Sonic and Street Fighter. I also think that it is amazing that all the characters were able to find their way into each others' games. My favorite part was....EVERYTHING! I can't pick a favorite part. ~C.K.B., 12 year old and future gamer

    Cute

Dreamworks does it again! Super cute with an obvious lesson to learn. It was fun and kept us entertained but I think there have been much better Dreamworks movies.

    Kids Movie

This was a cute, fun, sweet, Kids movie. If you don't have kids or don't like kids movies don't go see it. I think kids up till 12 or so will really like this movie and parents will like the references to old video games.

    Good for the entire family

    by

My 4 year old loved it - didn't move once - but I think that I like it more. The references and cameos of 90's video games/characters was very cool.

    Wreck-It Ralph

I took four kids to this movie ages 8 to 14 and everyone including the adults loved the movie. There was nothing in the movie that I disliked and we all would go see it again. I just can't believe there were not more people in the theatre for opening weekend!!! A definate must for kids!

    Well Done!

As an adult gamer, I appreciated the interplay between the retro characters and I especially loved the way they would travel between games to visit each other. Great little story for kids and grown-ups!

    Great Movie

Movie was a lot better than I expected. Adult humor made it great for adults and themes of the games made it great for the kids.

    Fun to watch

    by

Saw the 3D version -- the technology keeps getting better and better. Wreck-it-Ralph really leveraged 3D effects to create a visual experience that used 3D rather than just showing it off. As for the movie, I found the world they created interesting in a "Toy Story" sort of manner. The story was fun and Sara Silverman's character was hilarious. The bad-guys-anonymous meetings were REALLY a lot of fun to watch. Overall, though, while the beginning and ending of the movie were engaging if very predictable, the middle (spent mostly in the Sugar Rush game) got very slow. Take your kids!

    Wreck it Ralph

Wreck it Ralph is awesome! I took my 3 year old and he loved it. Very enjoyable for both adults and children. It's the best kids movie I've seen in a long time.

    The kids will love it...

For a movie that brought back video game characters of yesteryear it was a really good movie. Very funny movie with a good message. I would say go see it. The kids loved it... which is way more important than what I thought of it. They are still quoting the movie 24 hours later.

    Incredible!

Hands down one of the best animated movies I've ever seen in my life. Great story, great humor, POWERFUL and POSITIVE messages to children and adults alike about loving who they are. Seriously stresses the value of good self esteem and self love. Wonderful!!!
