Home run for Disney, but not quite a Pixar quality grand slam.
The influence of Pixar is really showing through in this movie. It's still not quite a classic, but it's fun, funny on several levels, and most definitely has heart. It's also the first time in a long time that I've seen Disney intentionally add in humor that kids will not get so that they appeal to the rest of us. It is a bit formulaic and reminds me a little of Meet the Robinsons. It also suffers from a few "easy outs" in the writing to push the story along, but overall I would say it's Disney's strongest 3D offering to date, only competing with Tangled for the #1 spot.
