    Brilliant Concept

This movie appeals to the young and their parents! The old school famous video game characters who popped up throughout the movie kept me entertained & briefly sent me back to an innocent place in my childhood. There were a lot of good laughs as well as an important message. The 3D graphics and concept were absolutely brilliant. Im so glad my daughter talked me into this one. :O)

    Save your money on 3D

    by knjzmom

The kids will enjoy the movie eventhough the storyline had problems. it seems to drag at certain points. Also there arent enough 3D effects. Save your money on 3D.

    Awesome Movie!

    by

I don't watch a lot of 3D movies. But I opted to see this 1 in 3D and was NOT DISAPPOINTED. This movie looks gorgeous, has great characters, is very funny, and is great for the little ones. This movie is a must-see, and I definitely endorse watching this film in 3D.

Great story and animation. sort of the velveteen rabbit, toy story theme with old school arcade and console game characters. If you ever played video games as a kid you'll enjoy this one as mush as the kids.

    Awesome, fun movie!

    by

This was one of the best movies I've seen in awhile. It was fun and entertaining. It had great references to all kinds of video games as well as nostalgic candy. It had a really good story and the characters were great. It had lots of retro nods for us older ones but kids loved the story too. I highly recommed it.

favorite unique movie in a long time

    by

I loved this movie so much. It was an original, better than the fluff that comes out of animation houses recently. Really great story, loveable characters. Many people from the Simpsons had a good effect on the comedy part. But also it's pretty touching. And really fun with all the different animation worlds. Really good film!

    Good for the entire family

    by

My 4 year old loved it - didn't move once - but I think that I like it more. The references and cameos of 90's video games/characters was very cool.

    Fun to watch

    by

Saw the 3D version -- the technology keeps getting better and better. Wreck-it-Ralph really leveraged 3D effects to create a visual experience that used 3D rather than just showing it off. As for the movie, I found the world they created interesting in a "Toy Story" sort of manner. The story was fun and Sara Silverman's character was hilarious. The bad-guys-anonymous meetings were REALLY a lot of fun to watch. Overall, though, while the beginning and ending of the movie were engaging if very predictable, the middle (spent mostly in the Sugar Rush game) got very slow. Take your kids!

    Great Story and Great Animation

This was an adorable and fun movie. The story was clever and had a few twists that were brilliant and unexpected. Anyone who played video games as a kid will appreciate the references to certain older games, but I am not a gamer myself and still thoroughly enjoyed the film. I would recommend this movie for kids and adults alike. It's definitely worth a trip to the theater.

Great movie for the whole family.

Enjoyed this movie a lot with my 8 year old and 10 year old. Good storyline, great animation and lots of laughs (even a tear or two!).

Amazing! Toy Story meets video games

This movie was awesome! It's what you would get if you took Pixar's Toy Story concept and applied it to video games instead of toys. It's a glimpse of what video game characters do when we're not playing them, along with several other themes that make for a great story and lovable characters.

Any gamer who grew up in the Nintendo era is probably going to love this movie. There are lots of cameo appearances from other games, though that's just a part of what made this movie so great. Lots of laughs, action, and a bit of drama make this great for gamers of all ages!

    Great for grown-ups and kids

I saw this movie with my husband (without the kids) and we both decided it is a great film based on the older video games and it brings in a great new twist. Wonderful in 3D! Great music track, too!

    Was good, I enjoyed it

    by

The kids didn't fall asleep, they were glued to the screen, 7 & 9. I enjoyed it although not as good as Hotel Transylvania, but better than Frankenweenie. Animation movies are the "IN" movies it seems like, and this one was fun to watch. My son 9 just sat there eating his candy watching the movie, didn't hear him laugh too much. My daughter 7 was laughing very loudly and yelling at the screen once in a while. She screamed "Ewwwwww" during a kissing scene that made everyone laugh in the theater.
All around it was very enjoyable and recommend it to everyone from people going to the movies for a date, to parents like myself taking your kids to the movies.
