    An Original Character-Driven Story

My wife and I went to see this and we both thought it was excellent. There were many recognizable video game characters and gaming jokes. One of the more original plots we have seen in recent months.

    Entertaining

The night before seeing this film I watched the Youngstown 33 news. The "critic" was on there reviewing James Bond, ranting and raving how good it was. Up on the screen popped the report card for the movies current in the theaters giving this film a D+. "Don't you believe it". It was entertaining and had a plot. Like most Disney films the main character has to go through some self discovery to come to terms. Take the kids, enjoy.

    Nice afternoon

    by

I went to see this with my 8 year old. I laughed quite a bit. It got a little slow in on part but then picked up again. I and my 8 year old enjoyed it.

    Great for the whole family

    by lgq1968

This was a great movie! Our 6 year old has been waiting for weeks for this to come out and it did not disappoint. Lots of reference to some of the retro video games so even the parents will find it entertaining. Great family day out at the movies!

    Awesome and totally for adults

It was so techy and creative, incorporating arcade games from our youth, it was great for all ages. My 5 year old nephew didnt even finish his popcorn because he was so interested!
Great all around experience and clever movie!!

    Cute and Funny

    by

Adults, parents, and children of all ages will like this one. It has plenty of cute spoofs on popular video games while still telling a sweet tale.

Great for Children, Gamers, Girls, and pretty much everybody else.

While Gamers will definitely get the most out of this movie, children will easily enjoy it too.
Sugar Rush's girly girl candy land is beautiful. The outfits they wear are impressively designed. Vanellope's Reese's Cup wrapper skirt was something I could appreciate as a male.
Great music. Great cast. Great plot.
PS: Stick around at the end if you like Owl City,

A Heartfelt, Enjoyable Film that Exceeds Expectations

Going into the theater, I wasn't expecting much. Fortunately, I was pleasantly surprised. Contrary to what the trailers imply, this movie doesn't require you to be in the know about videogames in order to enjoy yourself. It does not rely on the cameos and references to support the movie, they're just a bonus for those who grew up on gaming. Holding true to Disney standards, this movie is great for everyone. The story may seem familiar, but the way it's told is what makes this movie so involving. The main characters are charming and they develop into relatable people you genuinely care about. Ralph and Vanellope's relationship is just so perfect that it sets up one of the most emotional scenes in animated movie history. All of the actors do an excellent job, I can't think of a better cast. The colorful worlds within the movie are simply gorgeous and the soundtrack fits the movie impeccably. All of these elements combined make "Wreck-It Ralph" the best animated film of the year.

    Good Flick

Good flick! Glad to see some imagination coming for movies instead of the same old thing. Took my son and his friend, and all three of us loved it!

    Wreck It Ralph

Not up to the level of Frankenwenie or Hotel Transylvania. Enjoyed but my grandchildren said we wouldn't be buying the DVD.

Home run for Disney, but not quite a Pixar quality grand slam.

The influence of Pixar is really showing through in this movie. It's still not quite a classic, but it's fun, funny on several levels, and most definitely has heart. It's also the first time in a long time that I've seen Disney intentionally add in humor that kids will not get so that they appeal to the rest of us. It is a bit formulaic and reminds me a little of Meet the Robinsons. It also suffers from a few "easy outs" in the writing to push the story along, but overall I would say it's Disney's strongest 3D offering to date, only competing with Tangled for the #1 spot.
