    Intouchables

I took my 16 year old (American Film Indocrinated teen -exposed only to multimillion dollar crap that can be marketed into video games) and he said, "Mom, I think this is one of the best films I've seen. Why don't they make more films like this?" Money, of course. Leave it to the Europeans to make adult dramas that are much desired and needed. We are left to Focus Films and Magnolia Films and gems like this one to keep us going. Must see. Magnetic and charming.

    The Intouchables

This movie is definitely a "must go"! The film could have been maudlin, but instead is very funny and uplifting. I sat through it with a ridiculous smile on my face and that was when I wasn't laughing out loud!

    Great Movie

This movie was fantastic. A must see for anyone who wants a close up look at human interaction that makes you both laugh and cry. This was a feel good movie and judging from the faces of folks leaving the theater everyone enjoyed themeselves. I'm going to see it again.

Very funny; moving but not maudlin

...and uplifting, literally. But you have to watch to know to what I allude. Warm, authentic, funny - who would ever expect to laugh this much at a film with subtitles? Reminds us why we should seek and savor moments of joy. And teaches us something important about unconditional love.

    Bella,

This movie was great! It was heart warming, funny, and touching, I think the critics reviews are way way off, they must have watched a different movie? A human story with no special effects or booming audio, it is dubbed but you get lost in the story so you don't notice that! A must see if you like a pure movie and story!

    Very funny, unusual movie

    by LRK

Extremely funny movie about how two disparate people end up helping each other. Only criticism I have is that the background of Driss, the companion and aide, could have been fleshed out some more. Otherwise, it's a wonderful film about how the spirit can overcome any disability, whether social or physical.

    A gem!

This movie will make you cry, laugh and think! It is based on a true story between two men from very different background. The acting is superb and you definitely find yourself thrown in a story of friendship and compassion. As far as I am concerned this is one of the best movies of 2012.

    The Intouchables

I laughed my head off: this film is full of all kinds of humor: broad pratfalls, verbal play, and hysterical situational comedy. And I couldn't take my eyes off the major characters. They are able to convey more with their faces than most "movie stars" can with their whole bodies.

    This is a 5-star film:

The writing is fabulous and funny.T

The acting, directing, and cinematography are first rate.

Without revealing too much, Intouchables takes you to a world you might never enter, and enables you to dwell in it with both humor and empathy.

    do not miss this one

    by Jorie S

One of the best movies I have seen. This is a current, relevant movie and even more touching because it s based on a true story. The actors are so talented and make you care deeply about their characters.

    Loved It

    by cina-ma

Based on real characters, this French film follows the touching and funny relationship between two unlikely "friends." The characterizations, writing, unexpected plot events, and fantastic musical choices all were spot on. For me, the movie flew by, effortlessly and beautifully.

Loved the movie! Great acting! You will leave the theatre with a new appreciation for living life to the fullest no matter what! The only downside for me was that the translation from French to English was not as nuanced as it could have been. Stuff got lost in translation, especially since a lot of slang was used and French cultural references were made. It just did not come out the
same in English. I guess that's one of the drawbacks of a native speaker seeing a movie with English subtitles.

    Fantastic

    by rabiahc

Leave it to France to make the first film I've seen all year that it truly incredible and necessary to see. It is touching but in a way that isn't cheesy or contrived and funny in the same unique way. I loved it.

    The Intouchables

This is by far one of the best films I have ever seen. The story is captivating and inspiring, and the entire film is laced with humor. I have never felt so uplifted by a movie! Not only that, but the film challenges society to look past stereotypes and believe the potential in everyone. This is definitely a Must See!

I went with my husband and a friend. We all liked it, it was moving, but entertaining at the same time, we laughed, they tried not to make the main character disability as the main focus of the movie, I recommend it.
