    trouble with the curve

if you are a baseball fan or have a family give it an extra star. it was a little slow in a few spots. but over all not bad.
took our 13 and 9 year old boys to see it both said it was good.

    Trouble with the curve; homerun

This story illustrates the problems with parenthood, work, abandonment, aging, ego, communication, trust, and baseball. Work will never give you a family. And money isn't the only opportunity cost. Good on-screen chemistry and cinematography.

    TROUBLE WITH THE CURVE

    by joecul

My wife, our friend & I enjoyed it. One of the main reasons I enjoyed it is I love Clint Eastwood. My question is, "How long can Clint keep playing a cantankerous old man with a raspy voice?" Here in "TWTC", he again plays a grumpy old man part and does it really well. But two movies in a row (Torino), may be a bit much. It was well written, along with the expert direction, camera angles & continuity editing made it an enjoyable movie easy to follow.. Eastwood's captivating performance along with the wonderful talents of Amy Adams, Justin Timberlake, & John Goodman, make you actually feel their character's up & down frustrations & emotions. This all brought the movie to LIFE, even got my emotions activated.
The only thing that caught MY eye was the ending.. I won't give it away, but in the last few minutes, everything seemingly came together with UNBELIEVABLE circumstances. It was like they needed to finalize the movie, so they dreamed up this "ah come on" climax.

Clint Just Keeps Getting Better With Age

What a great story, beautifully acted by the entire cast. While I would give a big thumbs up to the performance of Justin Timberlake in this movie, it is - as it should be - Clint Eastwood that carries the story. If you like baseball OR Clint Eastwood, you should see this movie.

    great date night flick

    by hhertz

Amy Adams and Justin Timberlake are young and attractive. Clint Eastwood plays the old codger role perfectly. The plot moves at a good pace. Some great lines and good laughs.

    Trouble with a Curve

Even better than we expected! Eastwood getting old but still great, also a wonderful cast. If you love baseball and Eastwood, just grab your popcorn and enjoy.

    Trouble with the Curve

    by Disblu

This was quite a worthwhile movie. I loved it! I enjoyed the subtle humor and, of course, the jerks getting theirs in the end. Like most of the audience, I laughed, I cried, I applauded, and came away with a really good feeling.

Clint Eastwood is once again amazing.

At first I didn't know what to expect from this movie but once I heard that Clint Eastwood was in it I knew I had to see it. This movie is funny, dramatic, and sad at the same time and surprisingly Justin Timberlake does an excellent job. All in all, GO SEE THIS!

    Lighthearted dramedy

I liked this cute movie. Amy Adams is adorable and Timberlake surprisingly cute and grounded. Clint is showing his age and trying to be funny sometimes he gets lost. Good acting by everybody though. This film is not about baseball and children would not be amused with the plot. It was entertaining and it's not a comedy nor a full drama. Clint Eastwood fans will get the most enjoyment out of it.

    Good acting, warm story.

    by blies

I am surprised by the number of negative ratings for this movie. I found the acting to be very good. The female lead is a natural and there is nothing forced in her line delivery or affect. I didn't know anything about Justin Timberlake except that I was not a fan of his music until I saw him on SNL and thought he was good at delivering comedy and not a bad actor. He did a nice job in this film.
Clint Eastwood has become a bit stiff in his old age, but he IS Clint Eastwood and I like him.
Baseball fans will enjoy the plot and those looking for a love story and family dynamics story will like it. It is a good film without being too corny. It is appropriate for most age groups (perhaps over the age of 13 or so). There is no sex, but some bad language.
    Go see it.

    Kind of Depressing

    by wally09

This movie was more about a father and daughter relationship then about baseball. Was depressing at times and Clint Eastwood is just getting old. It is just an ok movie and would probably recommend waiting for it to come out on DVD.

    No Trouble with This Curve

    by robbbie

This movie is worth the price. No it is not an Academy Award Winner, but it is a real winner as Clint Eastwood movies are. You will love this movie. I had to be excused badly toward the end, and I mean badly. I couldn't leave in order to see what happened.......That good! Go entertain yourself for the evening.
