Feel good movie for baseball fans
Enjoyable afternoon us9ng a "2-fer" ticket. I only flashed once on Eastwood talking to an empty chair when the movie started, then relaxed into the film's story. My takeaway from it was to always remember who you are and where you came from, don't assume things, communication is good, and stand-up for what you believe in.
In the film East wood played an aging baseball talent scout with failing eyesight. I liked that he and others around him trusted his instincts and other senses. His daughter visually verified what Eastwood heard regarding one player's swing. The underlying message was even though disabled, or partially so, the individual is valuable and talent transcends stats.
Not an Oscar contender, but I'm glad I saw it.
