What can I say? I'm a sucker for anything Eastwood.

"Trouble With the Curve" is a great film with great acting. Clint Eastwood never disappoints and Amy Adams and Justin Timberlake were very good. It may not be special enough to merit elite attention but it is a feel good story about how the old ways shouldn't be pushed aside in a new era in a setting that is all about improvement. Eastwood's portrayal of an old-school baseball scout who soldiers on to do his duty while his instincts are starting to fray and mend a broken relationship with his daughter is strong and resonates a special personal chord. The film is great. Solidly directed, written and paced.

No Trouble with Trouble with the Curve

    by elkieg

Four of us (two couples) went to see Trouble with the Curve and we all loved it. I was hesitant to go because of Clint Eastwood's RNC stunt but he's too good an actor/director to pass up.
We were not disappointed. There are tense moments and happy moments. There are aspects for the men and women watching.
Although some of the plot is predictable, it is still really enjoyable to watch.Amy Adams, Justin Timberlake and John Goodman all did a great job too. I don't know his name, but the actor who places the "computer scout" must have been a good actor, because I HATED him. Go see it and enjoy!

    Trouble With the Curve

Once again, a Clint Eastwood must see! Thoroughly enjoyed this feel good movie, a bit of cussing (what Clint movies doesn't) but guaranteed you'll walk out of this one smiling!

Trouble Withthe Curve is a Straight Hard Ball

Excellent movie! Good plot/storyline. Great acting all-around. Very entertaining without the standard gratuitous sex and violence more common than not in today's theaters. Very enjoyable entertainment, I rate it 9.5 of possible 10.

    Go see or else.

I am not much of a baseball fan but this movie was really good. I've never been into Clint Eastwood either and he does some job in this. No matter how old he gets, he still has it. Seriously go see this movie, it has life lessons in it.

    Very Enjoyable

    by nytoca

Clint Eastwood did not disappoint me. He was great in this movie. The only part of the movie I didn't like and felt was unnecessary was the first scene. The rest of the movie was great.. I enjoyed seeing John Goodman. His part wasn't too big, but he was sweet & fuzzy..
It was a good movie for all ages

    It was time....

    by

...time to see a movie that makes you laugh, cheer and maybe a tear or two. Great for a father and daughter. A great movie if you love the game of baseball. Clint Eastwood still has it. He showed heart and soul...a personal side. With all the political stuff we all have to deal with between now and November ....we all need a great movie...Trouble With The Curve is that movie. Go and enjoy.

    Good movie

    by Cynetix

This movie has heart. Clint is the perfect crotchety old man and its good to see him show some sensitivity. Justin's character is really down to earth and I enjoyed his performance. Amy Adams made this movie in my opinion (and my wife as well). Not only is she great to look at, she kept this movie going and provided the glue that made it a story. Recommended for a date movie or guys who aren't afraid of admitting they like chick flicks but not the pathetic kind on Lifetime.

I definitely want to see it again but will wait until it hits DVD/Netflix/Hulu.

Great movie, but doesn't need to be seen in a theatre...

It was pretty emotional on some parts so I would've rather had seen it at home... no special effects or anything that would enhance effects by a bigger screen.. definitely wait until redbox.

I would say it is appropriate for all ages, but would suit the interest of adults... kids would be bored. There is a little cursing but not too bad.

Ok but totally did not meet expectations

The movie plot was good, the acting not so bad, it just could've been so much better. The director lacked creativity in making this movie a good feel good movie about the father and daughter bond.

Feel good movie for baseball fans

Enjoyable afternoon us9ng a "2-fer" ticket. I only flashed once on Eastwood talking to an empty chair when the movie started, then relaxed into the film's story. My takeaway from it was to always remember who you are and where you came from, don't assume things, communication is good, and stand-up for what you believe in.

In the film East wood played an aging baseball talent scout with failing eyesight. I liked that he and others around him trusted his instincts and other senses. His daughter visually verified what Eastwood heard regarding one player's swing. The underlying message was even though disabled, or partially so, the individual is valuable and talent transcends stats.

Not an Oscar contender, but I'm glad I saw it.

    OK

I liked the movie and the acting, although I thought that the story line was pretty unoriginal and obvious. Actors do a good job, and there is both depth and light/fun moments. Not a first pick, but a nice movie overall.
