    Trouble With The Curve

An excellent film. The father-daughter chemistry between Eastwood and Adams is very believeable. I'm a major fan of baseball films and this one did not disappoint. Having a daughter myself, I thought the relationship between them was touching and real.
I enjoyed the baseball perspective as well. The scouting side of the game is something not explored in movies very often, if at all. A definite must-see for all.

    Trouible with the Curve

This movie is actually better than So-So, but not a definite Go. Clint is Gus, a baseball scout for the Atlanta Braves. He used to be considered one of the very best. His eyesight has gotten worse. Some of the boys in charge upstairs are wondering if he can still do the job including Vince(played by Robert Patrick) who would like to see him gone. The pressure is on for Gus (Clint) to get il right in scouting a hot prospect--Bo Gentry (Joe Massingill).

His daughter, Mickey, (Amy Adams), is approached by Gus's long-time friend and head of scouting for the Braves, Pete Klein (John Goodman) to find out if Gus still has what it takes.
Mickey and Gus have many unsettled issues and then Johnny (Justin Timberlake), new scout for the Red Sox, reenters Gus's life and so enters Amy's life.

Seeing Clint shed a tear or two might be enough for some to go see this movie. A young Eastwood (not Clint)can be seen at the start of the movie and a highly satisfactory ending are two more.

    About Trouble with the curves

I love Cint Eastwood, and seeing this movie was a comfirmation as usual. However it was not, in my opinion, the best from him. It was a bit streching too long on a not that much attractive story. But I liked it and had a good time watching it.

    Clint Eastwood shines,as always,as a director or performer for a friend-director.
He gets older and better, with the experience he gained over the years in the industry.

    Trouble with the Curve

Thouroghly enjoyed this movie for several reasons. First,Eastwood is always entertaning, and second because my husband and I have a friend who has a brief part in the movie. RIckie Muse, a former coworker, played the first bartenter. It is awesome to see an acquaintence on the big screen.
I love baseball and thr Red Sox are my favorite team so the story became more personal for me. This is a movie we will be adding to our home collection.

Best baseball movie since Fever Pitch

    by lrp2000

I love both Amy Adams and Clint Eastwood (especially Amy Adams!). The story line is somewhat predictable, especially if you've seen a preview, but it's such a touching story it's worth it.

    Trouble With The Curve

It was refreshing to see a movie with a good story and good acting that could be enjoyed by the whole family. I love baseball and have played for years and enjoyed the accuracy of the parts of the story (Besides the girl catching). It was a encouraging and enjoyable experience. Another excellent Eastwood movie!

    empty purse

We went to see this with our best friends. We all liked the movie BUT I spent part of the time obsessing over the empty purse and the age of Mickey with the date of her mom's death. In a scene where Mickey storms out of Gus's room at the motel, her purse flies open and is empty. She's a lawyer with a huge purse (I have larger) and it's empty. No wallet, no makeup, nothing! The other inconsistency is the dates on the tombstone for the mom. According to the dates and how old Mickey is (33) and how old she was when mom died (6 years old) then mom died 2 or 3 years before Mickey was born. Overall, though, it was enjoyable. I don't regret seeing it but if you wait til it's out on the small screen you can pocket the admission price.

    Would go again

I am not typically a Clint Eastwood fan, but, I loved this movie and thought it was very well done. The acting was great, and definitely kept my attention. I would not only recommend it, but would see it again if I get the chance.

    Trouble With the Curve

Thoroughly enjoyed this film. Terrific cast and believable acting by Eastwood, Adams and especially Justin Timberlake.....who is developing as quite the movie star!! Romantic comedy, musical, you name it. This movie ran the gamut to include drama, humor, sports, forgiveness, and redemption. I've seen many Clint Eastwood movies, but this is the first one to see his character actually CRY!! He commands a very touching cemetery scene in the film. Yes, he's getting up there in years, but his distinctive voice and on screen presence still keep you focused on his every nuance, words uttered and movement. Encourage all ages to see this movie!! l

Saw it in spite of KATMC

Had to go see this movie in honor of Clint Eastwood. Wonderful movie and very well done. Had to laugh that a liberal would write that they are boycotting a movie....I guess only the liberal Hollywood can make statements. Good job KATMC.

Eastwood always delivers a good story

    by ptaz

I almost always go to Eastwood movies as they always have a good story to them. Clint plays an aging baseball scout who is having health issues. His estranged daughter pursues him to determine if he's having issues or not. So she goes to some baseball games with him. It becomes obvious she has talents other than those of a lawyer. The ending was priceless. I highly recommend this one.
